Before I show the doll outfits from 2022, I wanted to show you a couple pictures Karen sent me… This is Marion’s diorama for school…
Hi Jeanne,
Barbara wanted to see a picture of Marion’s diorama so I thought I’d send it to you. She was supposed to make everything. The trees and mountains are made with different types of foam. Also included a picture of Marion and Lilly.
Hope you have a great Christmas!
Karen from Kentucky
…and this is Marion loving on Lilly!
Okay, are you ready for the first 16 dresses of 2022? I actually made 31 dresses this year, but I’ll have to do Part 1 today and Part 2 Thursday. Then on Friday I’ll show you ALL the dresses in one post and you can VOTE for your favorite TWO outfits… I’ll tally the votes and let you know on Saturday who wore the TOP OUTFIT of 2022!
This is Lian in her Gray Furry Coat… it started off my year!
Chrissa loved her Winter Wonder Snow Leopard Coat!
Frieda modeled Valentine Surprise VERY well!
Next Frieda got another turn modeling… this time “Almost Spring!“
Ten Ping looked wonderful in Valentine Sparkle!
Here is Kirsten in Swedish Sweetness!
Noel loved “Little Touches” and didn’t want to give this one up!
This is Nyssa in Springtime Charm! I LOVED making this one…
Molly modeled “Cherries ‘n Checks” so sweetly!
This is tiny 6″ Bailey in “Beautiful in Blue!”
Rozen found her favorite color in this dress set! I called it “Springtime Sweetness!”
It was Seventies Style for Julie with this dress set!
Rozen was given another turn to model… this time in “Touch of Teal!”
Stella is wearing “Almost Summer!” these just might be my favorite shoes I have made!
Rebecca was chosen to model “Watercolor Regency”..and she did a wonderful job!
Ten Ping got us all the way to May in “The Littlest Patriot!”
I hope you enjoyed seeing the dresses I made the first half of 2022! Please come back tomorrow and see the second half of the year. Be thinking about which one might be your favorite! I’ll let you pick your top TWO outfits on Friday and we’ll see who wins Top Outfit for the year!
Thanks everyone,
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Aw, Karen, tell Marion I LOVED seeing her diorama!! I so enjoyed doing projects like that when I was her age, and she did a really beautiful job on it. Best of all was seeing her proudly snuggling her baby sister, LIlly! Such a precious picture. Thanks for sharing.
Well, this if fun, seeing all these outfits again. Hm, two of them look pretty familiar!! 😉 Do I have a spoiled dolly? Yes, I do!!
I just love those pictures of Molly in Cherries and Checks; there’s something about that outfit that is just so perfect on her!! Ditto Lian’s lovely fur coat.
In response to Linda’s comment yesterday: Normally I don’t schedule late appointments (esp. in winter) but it was the only one available. However, I ended up canceling it (PT) after all–I had been to the PO and library, and decided I’d had enough driving in snow for one day! And we are still in a deep freeze, and will be for two more days before it rather suddenly starts to warm up and rain! We got another inch or two of snow last night, too. I love snow, but this is not the week I would have chosen for it! I finally ended up ordering my brother’s gift online–we won’t see them until after Christmas, so it doesn’t have to be here this week anyway.
Thanks very much, Charlotte! I’ll tell her. I like that picture a lot, too. They both look like they love each other. We are supposed to get a lot of snow soon, too. Stay safe!
Oh dear, I just lost my entire comment when I clicked onto Marion’s diorama to look closer to it! It is wonderful, and so well done, Karen! I used to teach and remember having my students make dioramas too! She did a great job with the map and that darling canoe, not to mention her painting! Living in St. Louis, we have many things here to remind of of Lewis and Clark, so are very aware of their significance. That picture of her with baby Lilly is adorable!
And now, Jeanne, for what is going to be impossible: picking favorites! Oh my, that coat on Chrissa is beautiful! Then Noel with Little Touches, is so pretty and springlike! That hat in Rozen’s Springtime Sweetness is to die for, along with the rest of the outfit! Then Kirsten, just rocks her Swedish outfit, along with Molly in her all American cherry pie dress! Like we have mentioned many times in the past, you need to make a book!!
Good for you, Charlotte, to stay in when the weather gets bad! We here in St. Louis are awaiting our own bad weather, starting tomorrow and lasting through Christmas, so we are staying put for the next few days. However, that too could be dangerous, since I have a whole bunch of Christmas cookies here, just waiting to be eaten! 🙂
Thanks so much, Linda! I hope you enjoy your cookies! Hehe
Thank you for sharing the pictures, Jeanne! Those winter coats you made sure would be cozy for humans for winter! Nice to see all the beautiful dresses!
I love the diorama, so well done and the photo of the girls is so sweet! I have picked two outfits, but I see that we have to wait until Friday to vote.
Thank you, Sissy!
Thanks to Karen and Jeanne for sharing Marion’s diorama. Love that she did it all by herself. It is outstanding, and I’m sure it shows all that was required for the assignment. So hard to believe that they made that trip in 1804-1806. Good job Marion!
Running late, so I’ll have to check out the outfits later. So many beauties. 🙂
Thank you, Joy!
What a fabulous diorama! Very well done!! The detail is great. The picture of the girls is adorable. Such love between sisters.
Jeanne, it’s always fun to see all the wonderful outfits you’ve made over the year. Of course my favorites are the black and white dress with cherry accents and the faux fur coat outfit on Chrissa and of course Kirsten’s outfit. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s group!
Thank you for pictures, Jeanne and Marion,
Thanks, Paula! I like that picture, too.
I think we have most everything we need for Christmas Eve and our family Christmas on the 26. So freaking cold though. Have packages to wrap…and a couple more kinds of cookies to make.
Lovely picture of those sweet sisters and the diorama is awesome. Hope the kids have fun in the snow that is coming.
It was fun to review the first half of the dresses and coats. Several stand out for me..we’ll see what ones are standing out tomorrow.😉
Thanks, Kathy! I think they will enjoy the snow.
Hi Karen, Marion’s diorama is just wonderful! She did a fantastic job with the construction and her drawing of Louis and Clark are very, very good.
Darling photo of her and Lilly. What a caring big sister. Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Sally, for your kind comments on my kitties and doll scene.
Kirsten’s outfit is beautiful. I can’t wait to see the second half.
Thank you, Laura! Marion is very sweet and helpful with Lilly. We are lucky to have her. Merry Christmas!
