Well, the day has finally gotten here and I’m ready to get some things sold. I have quite a few American Girl items and when I run out of them I’ll change the name of the yard sale to something else.
I’m sorry, but this is just for the people in the lower 48 United States.
Please note: NONE OF MY DOLLS SHOWN ARE INCLUDED…THEY ARE JUST MODELING THE OUTFITS.
If you missed yesterday’s post, I explained how it will work… but I’ll give some abbreviated directions here…
I will list list 8 items each day that will run ONE DAY… the day they are shown, until midnight that night.(Central Time Zone)
You can bid on any of the items below by emailing me at www.jeannewiedlocher@gmail.com with the name of the item you want to bid on and the amount you want to bid.
The winner of each item will be the person who has the highest bid in BEFORE midnight… I’ll keep track of the bidding, and if necessary in case of the same amount bid, I’ll use the time stamp to see who put their bid in first. That person will win that item.
I will run 3 days of listings, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and each day I’ll keep track of each person’s bids and put the items allotted to each person in a pile. At the end of Saturday night, at midnight, I will add up all the winning bids and add ONLY $5.00 for shipping to each total. I will email that person for a total due for the items won. (ie. Someone may be the high bidder on 2 items on Thursday for a total of $15.50, and then win a few items on Friday for $18.50, and then on Saturday, they may be the high bidder with $8.50… I will add those totals up… $15.50, $18.50 and $8.50 = $42.50…then I’ll add a one time shipping fee to that total for $47.50.)
Remember to make your bids unusual amounts, like $8.88 or $10.67, or $19.32… to make it easier for you to see if you are in the lead when I update the bidding on my blog post. As new bids come in, I will post the new amounts on this blog post… It may change several times in the course of the day, so come back to this post to see if you are in the lead.
I am NOT an expert with American Girl items, but to my knowledge I assume these are legitimate American Girl outfits.
I hope this works… let’s begin…
All of the pictures will enlarge if you click on them…
World Travelers Dress Set starting bid $5.00 (this is where the bidding may change… watch this line on each item listed to see if your bid is in the lead.)
This is a set from 2017 and comes with the knit dress, headband and plastic bracelet. It closes in back with Velcro and is in very good condition. It is just a bit snug on my doll and may fit the newer, more slender dolls better.
Pink and Purple Satin Cover and Pillow Set starting bid $5.00
This is a pink and purple Satin Cover and Pillow set for the American Girl doll. I think this is what was given to the girls who spent the night at American Girl Place. I think there was a purple bed they used for their dolls and then this cover and pillow set. I don’t have the bed, just the cover and pillow set. It is in very nice condition… the tag has been cut off the pillow…
Coconut Pajamas for American Girl dolls starting bid $5.00
This set includes the pajama top, shorts, puppy slippers and pillow. The set was released in 2018 and is in very good condition. The top is a bit snug on my Molly doll… (she’s my chubby girl) and would maybe fit better on a more slender doll. I can get the Velcro to close but it’s a bit tight on her. The slippers are adorable and very soft. The tags on this say it was made in Indonesia for American Girl.
Well, that’s it for today.
If you see something you want to bid on, send me an email with your bid and watch back on here to see if you are in the lead when it changes.
I hope I haven’t forgotten anything… Remember the bidding on THESE items only goes until midnight tonight (Central Time Zone).
Let the FUN begin…
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow!!
Blessings, Jeanne
You take such wonderful pictures, Jeanne. It’s nice to see the details of all the items.
On the purple pajamas, I don’t think I’d clip the threads but instead use something to work them to the wrong side of the fabric. (There used to be a tool called a snag-nab-it, I think, and I have something that opens like a seam ripper, but inside is a wire loop rather like a needle threader, that is thin- and fine-enough to work in from the back of the fabric, catch the little loop of thread and pull it to the wrong side.)
Good luck on your sale, and good luck to all the bidders!! Hope everyone gets something she wants!
What a nice start to your yard sale, Jeanne! Yes, you take wonderful pictures, so there are no “surprises” when anyone gets their items. What a great way to save on AG items!
Good luck, everyone. Great idea, Jeanne, and yes, excellent pictures.
Hope everyone can stay cool…play with your dollies, sew, take pics to share…dolls, flowers, yards, it’s all such fun. Thank you for your generous shares.
Dear Jeanne, best wishes for a great sale!
I am sure there are ton of dollies standing in front of their Mamas’ computer screens pointing and saying, “please buy that.”
Guess you could also call it Christmas in July! Hope you have lots of sales. 🙂
So, I thought my RRFF Daphne was going to be here today, but nope. Checked tracking and shows she is still in China and delivery is yet to be determined. Maybe she missed her plane? 🙂 We’ll see how many more days it ends up taking her for her journey.
Dear Joy, I was all set for the next installment of the doll espionage caper (laugh). I look forward to reading about it when it happens.
