Shoes and Sequins and Chickens and a Surprise box…

WOW! Did you see the end of the Fireworks Frenzy auction Saturday evening? It was the most exciting auction I have ever had! There were 24 bids in the last 2 minutes. I’m not kidding, my phone was “cha-chinging” every few seconds. Even my hubby was excited to see what might happen! I won’t spoil it for you, but you can go to the completed listings on Ebay for the Little Darlings and see how it ended. I was humbled and thrilled all wrapped up in one! Thank you, dear winner!

I’ve been busy with a felt and sequin project from church. It’s for a drama the missions team that is going to Zambia will be doing. I got the majority of it finished but will have to pick up the black tee-shirts tomorrow to finish it.

All of you who ordered shoes? They are on their way! Thank you again… but there were a few ladies who missed the blog that day and wanted to see what was left… I will show you below… These first pictures are of the sandals that fit the Effner 13″ Little Darlings and 14″ Betsy McCall. I forgot to put the numbers by a few of the pairs… but you can just describe them to me if you’d like to have a pair.
Again, they are $18 each with free shipping. You can let me know if you are interested in any of them by emailing me or commenting below.
Thanks again everyone! No pressure… there will be more sometime in the future… I just got the mess all cleaned up… and want to do a little sewing.

Here are a few of the flip flops for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends that are left… they are $18 each too and just let me know which ones you might be interested in.

Someone came to visit my hubby and they brought us a watermelon… NOBODY enjoys watermelon like I do… UNLESS it’s our hens… they picked on this until it was nothing left but the green skin! This is a short 9 second video of them enjoying it! :o)

When I went to the Post Office Saturday to mail off the shoes, I stopped by the Goodwill, which is just a minute away… I spotted this big tub that had stuff in it… at first I just glanced through the blue, but couldn’t see very well, so I tipped it over and looked through the top.. .I saw this…

… then I asked them if I could take the tape off the lid and look inside… they let me and it just took me a few seconds to decide this was worth it… so we’ll do a little discovering TOGETHER with it…

Well, I need to get to bed… we have PT tomorrow and Tuesday, my hubby’s staples come out! YAY!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Last night I took a look at the auction, and was absolutely flabbergasted by the number of bids as well as the winning bid!! Fantastic!!! Congratulations to you and to whomever won the auction. Someone’s LD is going to be the hit of the 4th of July activities this summer!!

Your felt and sequin project looks interesting. I hope you’ll show us the finished product when you’re done!

It seems you sold quite a few sandals and flipflops this week, too!! There are still some lovely choices left, though, and perhaps we can look forward to some new colors/styles in the future, too.

Your chickens certainly look happy with the watermelon treat!

Oh, my…what a Treasure you found, Jeanne!! I am sure it is Definitely going to be worth it!! Lots of AG goodies, I expect!!

Prayers for continued healing for George. So good the staples will soon be gone!!

Because I go to bed early, being an early riser, I hardly ever see your auctions at the end. Well, this time I did, and I could not believe my eyes! The numbers kept changing so quickly I could not keep up! Whoever won was certainly determined to get that outfit!! What an exciting auction!

So many cute shoes to use, Jeanne! I bought what would go best with the clothes I have for Betsy, so they can be used over and over. I can’t wait to get them!

A watermelon is the next thing on my grocery list, although I don’t buy the bigger ones, just the smaller, seedless watermelons that can fit my refrigerator! I don’t have any chickens to give leftovers to!!

Your craft project looks like fun! Can’t wait to see those sparkly tees!

I hope George is doing better, but what happens one time isn’t the way it goes another time. My two knee replacements were totally different in the way they healed. You just have to go with the flow!

So true about the knee replacement healing. One of my friends went to stay with her sister after the first one. She said her healing was so easy she decided to stay home the second. She lives alone. She said she did fine. Others I’ve talked to said there was no way they could have gone without help. i know David couldn’t have.

I forgot to mention, that is quite the “goody box” of AG accessories! I recognize some of them!

    Good Morning Jeanne,
Just sent you an email for my sandal purchase. So wonderful about the firework outfit! Congrats. Continued prayers for George. Love the chickens enjoying the watermelon… how cute are they. You are so good at finding treasures. I think nope I know I would have just passed by the tub not even giving it a second thought… I just learned a lesson! ty
Babysitting Dominic in a few so need to run!

    Hugs to everyone!
    Ingrid

Hope George’s PT doesn’t tire him out too much for the staple removal tomorrow. Be thinking of him.
Loved seeing those chickens enjoying the feast. Lucky hens. 🙂
So glad that I finally finished the revisions on the bed that came with RRFF Venus. I think it looks a lot better, and she had friends over yesterday to enjoy it. I sent the pic to Jeanne. 🙂

    1. Hi Joy, there was some discussion on the doll board (AGPT) regarding the RRFFs. I was posting the link to Francesca.for anyone interested in her, Anyway, there had been some talk about the brown-eyed dolls (Hanna, Kayla, Anna, and siblie Kelsey and I’m probably missing another one or more0 that their eyes are turning pink or purple or have arrived that way straight out of the box. I know you and Sally have most if not all of them so I thought you might want to check your brown-eyesd girls just to be sure.

  6. OMGOSH JEANNE! Congratulations on that sale. You did a wonderful job getting that dress just the way you wanted it and it sure paid off☺️ The timing was perfect too. Some little LD will be fantastic in her new dress, hat and shoes.
You scored with.that purchase at the Goodwill. Finding all the treasurers in that box will be fun.
I laughed at the chickens enjoying their watermelon treat. They are certainly a healthy looking brood.
Yeah for George…PT isn’t fun but it sure makes a difference.
Have fun making the t shirts☺️ I see a group picture in the future

Dear Jeanne, well you have left us with a cliff hanger (laugh). I wonder what else is in the bin. I can’t wait until you reveal all.

Prayers continue for you and your husband.

  8. I wanted to tell Debbie congratulations on getting Emily. I think she’s a sweet doll. I also wanted to tell Lauren that somehow I didn’t mention my renamed Caroline when I listed my dolls. I just love her, seafoam eyes and flaxen curls.

Amazing on the Fireworks Frenzy. I never see the end of your auctions because I’m always busy with something I have to do prior to bedtime either for kitties or finishing a household job..
The chickens are certainly enjoying there watermelon treat.
That looks like a fun Goodwill find. Lots of AG and seems to be all packed away nicely in plastic.bags. Guess someone was clearing out their girls’ collection.

What a wonderful Goodwill find. Can’t wait to see all that is in it. I really need to stop by our Goodwill. I just never think about it and it’s right next to a restaurant we frequent often. But I usually have David with me and I’m sure he doesn’t want to hang out while I dig through things – unless he can find some old tools to check out.

Congratulations on a really great auction! Sometimes I wish I didn’t sew so I would be justified in bidding more often. This truly was an adorable outfit. And who doesn’t love Cracker Jack.

I finished my second July 4th outfit yesterday. I made a romper for my RRFF Naomii Ruth (aka Freida) and a really cute short set for my Dumpling Lolla. I would do more except I would be making them out of the same fabrics. I thought I had more patriotic fabrics but I don’t so I ordered a fat quarter pack of patriotic fabrics the other day. But they won’t arrive in time for any more July 4th sewing this year so I’m working on some summer short sets now..

Anyone who sews for the Meadow Dumplings or 14″ Betsy McCall, I found a nice wardrobe pattern for each of them on Etsy at MacielleCreations. The patterns are fairly simple and the clothes are really cute. Lolla’s short set turned out very nice. I’m looking forward to making more attire from these patterns. I noticed the other day I had several wonderful patterns, especially for Paola Reina, in my “save for later”. Unfortunately the shops are in Russia and I can’t buy them at the moment. I’m hoping the Russian shops will be coming back so I’m leaving them for future reference. Hopefully!

Still hot here but they keep promising us some rain and even temps in the 80s at some point.
