I managed to get Twinkle Bailey’s dress set listed on Ebay and you can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar, or you can click HERE.
We had a beautiful day Thursday and I took advantage of it, getting Bailey outside for some nice pictures. The sun was almost TOO bright at times and I had to find some shade to keep her from squinting too much! My hubby said she needed some sunglasses! :o)
I thought you might like to see some of them…
Bailey wanted to see the hens, so I parked her bench by them and I’m not sure who was more curious… Bailey or the hens!
Now, for a bit of other news… last year my hubby had an episode of Afib which lasted a couple months before he knew what it was. He was very tired but didn’t realize his heart wasn’t beating right. When his doctor discovered it, his heart was shocked and it went back in rhythm the first time, but he was put on blood thinners to keep him from having a stroke or blood clot. The only way they would take him off the blood thinner was to get a procedure done called The Watchman… they go into your heart through your groin and fill in a little indentation in your heart with an implant. He is supposed to be able to get off the blood thinners then in 45 days…
That procedure is at 5:30 tomorrow morning (Friday) and we would appreciate any prayers…
I got lessons today on taking care of the chickens… as he’ll be out of commission for a few days… I hope no hens act up while he’s not in charge! :o) IF for some reason there is no blog post on Saturday, just know I was too busy playing nurse! But I hope to see you!
Thank you all,
Blessings, Jeanne
The pictures of Bailey are really nice; I especially like that third one! And she looked like she was enjoying watching the chickens–but probably glad there was a fence between her and them!!
I’m sorry to hear about George’s problems with afib. Sometimes those heart problems can sneak up on you. I’m so glad he’s getting that Watchman device–I looked it up and read about it, and it sounds like a wonderful thing (as wonderful as a pacemaker was for my husband a couple of years ago!). You will both be in my prayers, for sure.
Hi Charlotte,
It was nice to take outside pictures with Bailey…the day was just gorgeous!!
Thank you for your prayers…he is just looking forward to getting off the blood thinner…they are causing problems with bleeding through his stoma. 45 days and he should be able to get off them… I think we’ll celebrate!!
Thanks Charlotte,
Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, little Bailey is just the cutest thing! She radiates sunshine, although I know the sun was really shining yesterday! Wow, was it bright! Those pictures are darling, and I like the way her slip peeks out from her dress! Her hat really helped shade her sweet little face!
You can be sure of my prayers this morning for George. So his middle name is Patrick! I was wondering about that, since his birthday is so close to St. Patrick’s Day, but then thought, no, he is solidly German, his mother would never do that!! I guess I was wrong! My son’s middle name is Patrick too, but when you have a first name Brian, and a last name Doyle, Patrick is the perfect middle name for him!
Don’t worry about us, if you have too much on your plate today. We will manage, and keep those chickens in line!!! 🙂
Hi Linda,
We got up at 4:15 this morning and I thought, so this what Linda sees this early in the morning!!!
Wasn’t it a beautiful day yesterday? I loved being outside and in the sunshine…so did Bailey! Thanks for your compliments!!
Yep, it’s Patrick… just like your son!!
Thanks Linda, I’ll do my best to show up!
Blessings, Jeanne
Very cute outfit for Bailey, you are really sewing a lot this year. Our prayers are with you and George, they can do some wonderful things these days to make our life’s better but it is still hard on the nerves. A couple of other things, is anyone doing Wordle from The NY Times, it is a new word game online every day. Just google Wordle. And the other day someone mentioned the prices on gas. We got a tank of heating oil, it was $5.75 a gallon and cost $1150.to fill. That was a new high for us! I do think we feel a little warmer! Have good day today, we are getting that warm weather that you had yesterday!
Hi Sylvia,
I have been enjoying all the sewing I’ve been able to do it!!
Thank you for your prayers!! W truly appreciate them!
I do a word game called Wordscapes every night before I go to sleep…I have seen a few friends of mine doing Wordle but haven’t checked it out yet…I keep telling myself I font need another game…
Ohhhh…and ouch on the oil fillup! I bet you DO feel warmer!!!
:o)
Thanks Sylvia,
Blessings, Jeanne
We’re praying for George. Hope the surgery goes well! I used to have to work with stoma bags in the nursing home. Hope he feels better soon.
I like the picture where the chickens are interested in Bailey. So far our Chickadee doesn’t seem to be too lonely being the only one left.
Happy belated St. Patrick’s day! Yesterday was my very sweet Grandma’s 90th birthday, but she died on Dec. 17, 2020. Good day to pray for her. Her name was Patricia. She used to wonder what her name would have been if she hadn’t been born on St. Patrick’s day. Tomorrow is my husband’s patron’s feast. Happy feast of St. Joseph!
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your prayers for my hubby. They just cane out and told me is doing well…
Glad you liked Bailey sitting by the hens…I wish I could have gotten a closer picture of her with the hens, but they were too big and she was too little!
So your grandma Patricia was born on the 17th and died on the 17th? How interesting!!
Thanks Karen,
Blessings, Jeanne
Love the pic of Bailey taking a semi nap. So cute.
Not happy to hear about George’s implant, but know it will be better in the long run. Sounds like the Watchman is the way to go.
I almost have my St. Patrick’s Day dress done for one of the RRFF girls. A couple more tiny buttons should do it. Don’t know if Jeanne wants to see it or not, but I’ll send her a pic maybe today if I get it finished. Always late with the dresses here. But, we did enjoy that corned beef yesterday and sandwiches today. Yum. 🙂
HI Joy,
Yes, the pictures of her laying down are some of my favorites! She’s such a sweetie… I “liked” the chocolate Bailey okay… but I just LOVE this little girl. She is truly a favorite of mine now… I love her sweet face and smile!
Unless he wanted to stay on the blood thinner forever, this was his only option given to him… I’m glad the day is over and we can move on to other things. he has to be easy going the next week, but that’s okay… he deserves a break and some rest.
I did see your St. Patrick’s Day dress for Joy and I’m planning to share it if you don’t mind! Hey, who says all green dresses have to be worn just on St. Patrick’s Day?
I hope you dinner was good… I’m sure it was…
Thanks Joy…and Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
Great night for blood thinners. My brother-in-law had similar problems last night. Prayers for both.
Little Bailey makes a wonderful model — the bear is the perfect size for her. They make such a cute pair. The chicken picture is nice. A biologist friend says that what animals probably think when they see others is “Can it eat me?” The chickens don’t seem worried about Bailey. Bailey, on the other hand, probably thinks the fence is an excellent idea.
HI Marlyn,
Oh no… I hope your BIL is okay tonight… Yes, I’ll pray for him too… it’s just as easy to pray for one as it is for two. :o)
Yes, Bailey is really fun to pose and that smile gets me every time. I do love her! They look like a passel of trouble to me… maybe a bit mischievous!
I wish I could have gotten closer to both the hens and Bailey, but one was too big and the other was too small… so I had to stand back and take my picture…
Thanks Marilyn,
Blessings, Jeanne
I nearly forgot — Islandshire, the Etsy shop, is selling micro mesh and doll skin cleaning and repair kits. They also have AG sized props, like magazines, sheet music, and AG sized Disney mouse-ears.
HI Marilyn,
I can attest to he micro mesh working on shiny spots on dolls… it worked wonders on my Maryellen doll… I’ll have to look up their shop…
Blessings, Jeanne
Hoping for a quick recovery for George from his procedure. Glad all went well.
HI Susette,
I appreciate your prayers for my hubby… he is doing well and I’m so glad he didn’t have to spend the night… they said everything went perfectly! He’s pretty sore but he’s happy to be home… He can’t put Reuben in his lap, but he’s on the couch on a pillow right beside him…
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
Glad to hear George is recovery well. And glad he will be eventually taken off the blood thinners. Hopefully too, George will feel more energy in time.
I’ll be keeping George in my prayers and you too, Nurse Jeanne.
After two ablations a few years apart, I’m doing well but still on the blood thinners. I’m grateful for modern medicine and procedures.
Little Bailey looks so happy in her sweet blue outfit. I think she really loves the little bear the way she’s snuggling him. The hat is adorable and looks perfect with the whole ensemble. You pictures of her make me smile! So cute! I can only imagine what she thinks of George’s big feathered birds!
Thank you Paula,
We are very thankful for things to have gone as well as they did today! I was caught off guard when the doctor talked to me after the surgery and said he needed to stay on the blood thinner for 45 more days… then they do a test to see if things are healing up where the implant went… if so he gets put on Plavix… (another blood thinner!) WAIT…WHAT? I thought the whole reason we did the Watchman procedure was to get OFF the blood thinners.. The doctor just kept saying, “no he’ll be on them and a baby aspirin… ” FINALLY one of the nurses, when we were being discharged, explained he has to be on the blood thinners until the implant is completely overgrown with new skin… THEN he can be weaned off them… What a relief that was for me…
Thank you for your kind compliments on her outfit and the pictures we took. She really is a little cutie and I see lots of modeling opportunities for her in the future!
Thanks Paula,
Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, no one else might see this but I know you will: I looked up the watchman last night, and what you said that the nurse told you (about Plavix and aspirin for 45 days, then just aspirin) is exactly what the online info said. Exactly. Also about how the the implant has to be completely overgrown before they take him off the Plavix. If you google “the watchman”, you can read about it, too.
Dear Nurse Jeanne, you continue with your important duties. We will be just fine here on the sofa.
Bailey looks so sweet in the yard. I think she is an outdoor girl.
Hi Dorothy,
Well, I was cook before I put on my “official” nurse hat… I made us some dinner and he has since conked out in the recliner… I have to walk Reuben one more time before I hit the hay!
I think Bailey is an outdoor girl too. Wasn’t she just the cutest thing in those pictures? I see a bright future for her in my sewing room.
Blessings, Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
So happy to read surgery is over and George is doing well. Continued prayers for you and him. It’s such a blessing we live in this day and age.
Love the sweet outfit for tiny Bailey. What a lovely day for outdoor photo’s. Looks like the chickens enjoyed the sunshine too. I wanted to comment on the new floor in the office, it looks great! Good job team Jeanne and George!
Hugs
Ingrid
HI Ingrid,
Thanks so much for your prayers and concern. Yes, it’s a HUGE blessing to have such wonderful doctors and care these days.
It was a wonderful day for ALL who were out on that day… it was just Glorious!
We need about 6 more planks to finish up the hallway, but I’m going to talk to the owner and see if they have any scraps left over from any jobs using that same color and maybe see if he’ll let us buy them… it’s worth a shot I think! :o)
Thanks Ingrid,
Blessings, Jeanne
Glad to hear George is out of surgery and doing well. Prayers for a quick recovery.
Little Bailey looks so cute in her blue flowered dress, hat, and shoes. I’m sure the chicken were curious about this very tiny person.
Thank you Laura for your kind thoughts and continued prayers… I think he’s going to be really sore tomorrow… he was pretty achy tonight, so by the time he goes all night, he’ll be slow moving tomorrow… or not… maybe he’ll be fine… I’m hoping so.
I think the chickens WERE curious about Bailey… glad there was that fence between them… :o)
Thanks Laura,
Blessings, Jeanne
So glad to hear George is doing well. I’ve heard about the Watchman and it seems like a good way to go. David was on blood thinners after his heart surgery but when he cut himself shaving and the bleeding wouldn’t stop we started questioning whether he really needed them. After surgery definitely but once you’re put on something it seems it’s never revisited. It turned out he really didn’t need them so when he had his knee surgeries his doctor had him go the injection route. For two weeks he had to have shots to prevent blood clots since evidently blood clots are a real problem with knee surgeries. My cousin had knee surgery and they didn’t put him on blood thinners. He ended up with a clot. Fortunately he recovered.
You are so lucky to have both a Dumpling Bailey and a Twinkle Bailey. She is so precious whatever size. I love her pictures in the sun. If I didn’t know better I would think it was an Easter picture. Her bear is so precious and must be very small to fit Twinkle Bailey so well.
Love the pictures with the chickens. I’d love to know what they’re thinking. I’m pretty sure Bailey is thinking I really hope that fence is a good one.
HI Barbara,
Everything we read about the Watchman was pretty encouraging… I personally think putting him on blood thinners was a bit much when he’d just had one episode of Afib, but when I think about it, what if it was the episode that caused him to have a stroke… then it seems like it was the right thing to do…
I’m just glad it’s done and he can heal and move on to the next thing that needs
“fixing!” :o) I sure never expected when we got married that HE was the one going to have all the health issues… he was the epitome of health and strong as an ox…
But things changed and here we are…
Yes, knee surgeries ARE notorious for causing blood clots… it’s happened twice to my hubby… one on the day after his knee replacement!
I still can’t believe I own this cute little Twinkle Bailey. I really do love her… she’s so happy looking all the time and it will be fun to “sometime” do a sister set with both of the Bailey’s.
I remember when Poppy was visiting and I stood her out by the chickens too, she was a big hit! The hens just love looking at something new I think.
Thanks Barbara,
Blessings, Jeanne
Saying prayers for your husband George and hoping he has a quick recovery. God Bless!
Thank you Elaine,
We appreciate your prayers very much!
Blessings, Jeanne
Many prayers for George and for you as he recovers.
Thank you too, Debbie… The Lord was very good to us today and He will be tomorrow too!
Blessings, Jeanne
These hubby’s and their heart issues make for nervous wives! We sure have had matching heart issues. Mike had a pacemaker and that night one probe came loose…so another surgery….he was on Xareltoand the leaking of blood that looks like bruising was horrific…he was purple from neck to waist and halfway around his back and most of one arm. Now he is on Eliquis because it comes in various strength. The bruising is better…his blood pressure is better and heart beats are a bit more normal. I had not heard of the Watchman….hope it works like a charm so George can get off the blood thinners.
Oh….and Bailey….?…she is just the cheeriest little Easter person ever. Good luck with that auction, Awesome outdoor pictures too!
HI Kathie,
As I have been reading about your hubby’s issues, I was getting a wee bit nervous… but on the other hand, you were so honest and brave to share things, it gave me lots of hope that this was a good thing to do…
I can’t imagine what you were going through the night that probe came loose and you had to have him rushed into surgery to repair it… what a nightmare that must have been! I can’t even imagine!
The doctor told me after the surgery, everything looked very good and now it’s just waiting for the skin to grow over the implant, so NO blood can pool back in that little “divit” like hole in the wall of the heart.
I am loving Twinkle Bailey too and I’m sorry, but she just “might” have to get a second dress for Easter… just because she’s so cute!
Thanks Kathie,
I hope you are finding time for yourself on these busy days you must be having…
Blessings, Jeanne
