~ Little Touches ~ for 10″ Boneka dolls is now on Ebay…

Well, the flooring didn’t get started today because my hubby still had things to do in the basement before the man comes back to do his work in the crawl space. Not to worry, we found other things to do… like give my hubby a haircut, AND list Noel’s set on Ebay. Yep, it’s been listed and you can see it by clicking the picture of her at the right side bar, or you can click HERE.

We have gotten hit hard with freezing rain and it’s supposed to keep coming until 2:00 Thursday afternoon. My hubby is supposed to have an eye appointment, but he’s not sure he wants to go if the roads are as slick as he thinks they will be. It’s funny, he had to cancel the first appointment because I was sick and he didn’t want to spread any germs, then on the day of his rescheduled appointment, we got another ice storm and they called him and said they had a power outage, so they’d have to reschedule. Well, that rescheduled appointment is Thursday, so we’ll have to see if he goes for a 4th “rescheduled” appointment. Maybe they’ll call him and tell him they are closed for the day.

I got caught up on some “home” things today and didn’t get any sewing done. I’m writing this post at 8:00 Wednesday evening, so I may find my way in my sewing room before I head to bed…

In the meantime, I thought I’d show you some of my favorite archived pictures of Noel…Who out there has a 10″ Boneka doll? Just wondering…

I think there are a few more out there, but for now, this will have to do!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Now I KNOW you only put Little Touches up on eBay tonight–but it already (at 2a.m. PST on the 24th) has FIVE bids!!! Already!!! Woot woot!!

I hope the weather improved enough so that George could get to his appt.; on the other hand, better safe than sorry!!

WE are actually getting a little snow tonight! We had a light dusting a couple of nights ago, too, but it was gone by lunchtime. Tonight’s dusting is a bit lighter than that, but it is still snowing. Still, daytime temps are getting above freezing, so I doubt it’ll last long. However, it’s been very cold out here, especially at night.

Actually *I* have three Boneka dolls–one of each of the faces. I’d have to go and look to see which ones I have. I know one is Mona, but I renamed her Ramona Gail. Can’t remember the others offhand. Guess I need to take some pictures again!

Of the outfits you show, my favorites are the blue print-on-gingham, the snowflake one, and the tonal pinks one. That one, especially, just looks like a typical little-girl dress to me!

I finished sewing snaps on my latest pair of shortalls for Little Darlings dolls. That’s five down and two left to make. Will I get them done in time for This summer? Good question!

What a darling set, Jeanne, and all those wonderful pieces in “Little Touches”! Five bids already at this hour?? Somebody is staying up late or getting up early and needs doll clothes! All anyone has to do to figure out who the seamstress is, is look at it and know that it is from the talents of Jeanne Marie! It is so YOU! Noel had better not get too used to wearing this one, because it will be gone in no time!

I didn’t know much about Boneka dolls, and probably still don’t, but run across the name when looking or clothes for my dolls. I especially love the brown wig with the long curls on Noel. it evokes a certain time long ago, when little girls were dressed so elegantly. All those dresses are adorable, and that sweet pink dress and pantalettes shown with the brown wig, is probably my favorite, but I love them all!

Looks like most all schools here are closed today and we will be getting “stuff” from the skies almost all day too!

And before I forget, thank you all for commenting on my “Girl Scouts and Brownie”! As a former Brownie, Girl Scout, and Brownie leader, I just had to give them a plug!! 😉

It’s perfect in pink! Everything ties together so well! Congratulations on another winner.

It’ll only get up to 60s today and tomorrow but 70s the rest of the week. It’s only gotten below freezing once in the 30+ years I’ve lived here but 70 miles inland, the mountain communities depend on snow at the ski resorts. I bought some white garden sheeting to protect the orchids from freezing but have yet to need to use it. The orchids are in bloom so I hope I don’t have to this year. No rain here, Joy, just a very little sprinkle of individual raindrops that didn’t meet up to cover the concrete.

Random plants are covered with towels around here as we get a lot colder than you. And our rain of a couple of days ago amounted to exactly what you received. Hoping more rain may appear in March, but not certain yet. I would love to see your blooming orchids. 🙂

What a cute set, of course, and all the pieces add up to sheer delight. Well done. No Boneka girls here.

I order a core Hanna last night, and waiting for Josephine late March and Anna fro Russia, who knows when. I have not seen her on FB yet and the situation over there has me quite nervous, although, of course, I am so awfully saddened for all the people, both sides, who want no part of that invasion. Uffda.

Good luck to George. Drive carefully.

-6 here this morning, a week of low, single digit am temps and not very warm during the day, below 20. Today might hit 31, but we got about 8”of light fluff from this storm of two days. Brilliant sun now, just gorgeous.

Linda, loved the Scouts. Didn’t have Brownies and GS in my hometown in VT. Just 4-H which I did. Thanks so much, again, for sharing your wonderful kids. They certainly show no sign of deprivation. 👍❤️

    Have a beautiful day, sisters!

    1. Sally from Colorado

Great proofing job, Sal. I ordered Hanna and Anna is coming from Russia. And, who knows when she will ever appear. Maybe I should go back to bed…

I am a 4-H girl, too, Sally–from Upper Michigan! And now, in the greater Seattle/south Snohomish County area, I am a 4-H judge! Sewing mainly, but also needlework, cooking, and baking. Such fun!! One of my “girls” from a few years ago is now the Superintendent of Sewing at the Evergreen State Fair (where I first judged her work when she was about 10–time flies!)

Great news on the early bids. Looks like Noel is winning a permanent place in the rotation. 🙂
Still only 27 here this morning. I know that may seem warm to some of you, but here very cold and the plants are not happy. Sun coming out though and it was nice and warm on the deck yesterday. In the shade, not so much. Sorry to hear about the sleet and icy roads in Carbondale. Do you have snow tires or put on chains so you can safely drive in that kind of weather? That’s how it works here in the Sierra in a storm.
Still working on Valentine shirts for the RRFF boys. Maybe I’ll be done by next year. 🙂
My thoughts are with the people in Ukraine.

  6. Jeanne, what a nice collection of outfits for Noel. The first one is so bright, sunny and cheery and very Spring-like. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to Spring and this picture is a breath of fresh air!
I also love the snow flake outfit and the beautiful colors and prints of the fall outfit. Noel is darling in all of these pretty dresses!

As much as I love snow and all of the seasons, I hope the weather starts warming up for everyone.

  7. I hope everything is alright with Alina in Poland. In the blink of an eye,the world changes, so sad. Prayers for the poor people in the Ukraine. I also have another lady I know online from another blog that lives almost at Ukraine’s border in Romania. I’ve followed that one since homeschooling days.
I had never heard of Boneka dolls before you got Noel. I only knew of Dianna Effner from Ashton drake ads. My doll knowledge was German dolls and then PC/AG. my favorite of the Boneka dolls I have seen are Tuesday’s child with gray eyes,
Of the dresses you featured on Noel, my favorites are the current one and the snowflake one.

  8. Kathie from Omaha

Hard to pick a favorite but the pale blue one sitting in the grass is a stunner. The current one is so freaky cute too!
Been a hospital week here… Mike was having a lung function test Tom Monday when they were concerned because his heart rate was in the 30’s. Went to ER and they kept him to test more and put in a two wire pacemaker yesterday. Came to pick him up this am and one of the wires isn’t functioning so they have to redo it.😵‍💫 he doesn’t do well with anesthesia so I’m not happy with this second surgery but option is to leave one and they said he needed two …. So doing it again🥴 Say s prayer if you have a minute🙏🏻

    1. Joy in northern CA

Thinking of you and husband. Don’t they test those things before installation? So sorry for another surgery. Take care of yourself too.

      1. Thanks girls,.. yes it was working but came loose sometime during the night. This time using a different artery and a different attachment🥴

  9. Barbara in SE Texas

I have two Boneka’s, a Monday’s Child named Mary-Ellen, and a Tuesday’s Child named Charlotte. As a matter of fact they have the dress in the second picture up from the bottom. That’s the set that included two dresses and two capri outfits plus accessories. Looks like that’s going to be their Easter go-to dress again this year. Others are in more desperate circumstances.

I didn’t get to comment yesterday so I want to say that Linda’s scouts look so adorable. I was a girl scout for several years and really enjoyed the experience. I never was a Brownie but my sister was and my mother was one of the leaders of her troop. Please save some cookies for me. I only got two boxes this year. They were out of the Thin Mints and the girl I usually bought from at church is no longer there and I wasn’t aware of anyone else selling them. I feel deprived.

I thought we might be done with the cold temps here but boy was I mistaken. When David got up yesterday it was 47 degrees. When I got up it had dropped to 44 and by lunch was at 38 and still going down. Today it was supposed to be in the high 40s but David just told me a little while ago it was still 37 and that was around 1:30 p.m. But no precip which I am glad because I have an errand to run and Chorale rehearsal tonight. Wish I could just stay home where it is warm.

I love all the pictures of Noel and her sweet outfits.
