I thought I would share my sister, Deb’s, latest rendition on the piano…”Summertime!” It is wonderful and I do mean wonderful!! I honestly think I could listen to this one ALL day long! She is SO SO talented and there’s no one I would rather listen to… Make sure you have your volume turned up!
Click the link below to hear her playing… then see all those tiny little pictures below the bars going up and down? Click on the one at the far left and you can read all the wonderful comments she has gotten from this arrangement! I am VERY proud of her!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Really lovely, Jeanne. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, Jeanne! No wonder you are so proud of Deb! I was wondering if she played at the wedding? Of course, being outside would have made it difficult, but maybe inside when you were eating?
I can’t wait to see what you have for us tomorrow!
Funny — I woke up singing this. Since I can’t stay on tune, it’s nice to have this instead.
Now that’s Summertime, the lazy quiet times, playtime, the heat and summer storms. Beautifully played, Deb. Thanks for sharing, Jeanne. Those piano 🎹 lessons pay off for a lifetime!
Wow! An extraordinary arrangement; I just love the ragtime insertions. Very, very well done. I think I will go to my piano now, blow some dust off some music and give it a go. The windows are shut to protect the ears of anyone out on the sidewalk passing by. 😊
Jeanne, we all hope you and George are having a good time letting your hair down a bit after the marathon. Nobody deserves a good break more than you both.
Tell Debra that she is an ace! Thank you for sharing this treat!
Love and hugs,
Sally
That was lovely, what a great arrangement, Debra is very talented.
Music to my ears! That arrangement was lovely and beautifully played. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a peaceful vacation Jeanne – you deserve it!
Love this piece of music. My daughter played it on her violin for our end of the year homeschool talent show. Deb’s rendition on the piano is just beautiful. So gifted! I agree about the ragtime insertions, really brings the piece to life.. Thank you for sharing.
I forgot to comment on your nice reply yesterday. It’s always interesting to hear about people’s travels. How lovely to have had dinner in the dining car, a rarity anymore. Thanks for sharing with us. 🥰
So hope your sis was able to play at the wedding. Maybe we will find out tomorrow?
Dear Jeanne, oh my goodness, that was lovely! I like how she interpreted the song. I could imagine dancers in the background. What a talented family you have!
What a nice few minutes of beautiful music! Hope you are having a fun couple days too!
Can’t wait for wedding details🤗🤗
I love Gershwin and I love hearing Deb play him – and anything else. Her arrangement is absolutely gorgeous. I love playing jazz but sadly my former piano teacher could not play it. It takes feeling the music and she couldn’t let go enough to do it. My teacher was a great technician and played beautifully but she did not like the patterns of jazz. They felt too random to her.
I would love to hear Deb play a duet with a friend of mine who lives in Delaware. He plays light jazz and does a beautiful rendition of “Stars Fell on Alabama”. I love hearing both of them play separately but I would love to hear what it would sound like if they played together.
