Do you want to see EVERY SINGLE American Girl doll EVER MADE?

I found this website and thought it was fascinating to look at ALL the dolls in one grouping… There are the Historical dolls and friends in one group, the Girl of the Year in the next group and then the Truly Me dolls next… I sat down with a piece of paper and tried to see how many I could name… I got most of them except for the most recent ones… Kira, Z Yang, and the new Makena, Evette, and Maritza dolls. (although I did watch a video of the “World By Us” dolls just this morning… )

I thought you might like to see how many you know… it’s just fun to look at all the different dolls. Out of the 22 Historical dolls produced, I have owned 14 of them… (3)Felicity, Elizabeth, Caroline, (3)Josefina, Cecile, (3)Kirsten, (2)Addy, (2)Samantha, (2)Nellie, (3)Rebecca, (3)Kit, (2)Molly, Maryellen and (2)Julie. Out of the 27 Girl of the Year dolls, I have owned 5 of the 27 produced…Marisol, Chrissa, Sonali, Lanie and Saige.

Out of all the Truly Me dolls made, I have owned a #41, two #27’s, #55, and #33.

Every American Girl doll EVER made!

Here are the girls I have right now…

…a little closer up…

I picked out the dolls I absolutely wanted to keep…

These 4 were left standing…

Who knows their fate…

I’ll see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Wow, Jeanne, that is a lot of different dolls! I have Molly, Kirsten and Felicity, plus I have the first version of #19 (Asian) and also #21, both Just Like You dolls. At this point, I’m not planning on getting any more, but you know how that goes!! The only one I would consider, I think, is Nanea. She is really pretty!

You have quite a few. But, it looks like you may be doing a little refining of your collection in the near future….Hm….

By the way, Kathie, I saw your comment about cataracts. Cataract surgery is easy-peasy, and you will be SO glad you had it done! Before I had mine done, I was losing my closeup depth perception. I could see the end of the thread, and I could see the eye of the needle, but I couldn’t get them to meet up!! (A terrible thing for an avid sewer to have to deal with.) No problems now!

Dear Jeanne, wow you do have an army of AG dolls. I think that next to Barbie, AG has captured the doll market in terms of sales and re-inventing itself.

I always loved the Pleasant Company storybooks that the original dolls had.

Lots of dollies there Jeanne. I’ll have to count mine again as I have no idea of the number. 🙂
Early wake up call this morning. 5:45AM. Earthquake. Only a 3.4, but sure rattled everything. I thought it was from a truck that had just driven by, but other person said no, it was an earthquake. Centered in town at an unusual location for a quake. Don’t know the fault yet, but interesting. We do seem to get lots of quakes at this time of year though.
One of my RRFF girls is supposed to be delivered today. I only received the notification that she had been shipped from RRToys yesterday so was surprised to find an email from UPS that delivery is scheduled for today. This one came in through Anchorage and this morning is in Oakland. What a world traveler. Since I only received one notice from UPS, I have to presume that it is only one doll coming even though two were sent at the same time. Have no idea where or when the other one will show. 🙂
So, will you be selling the last four AG’s on Ebay? The only one I can name is Kirsten. The others??

Not exactly the wake-up call one wants. Glad it was just a 3.4 but hope nothing more develops. I wonder why lots at this time of year. I loved studying geology and especially plate tectonics and seismology but I must confess I’m glad I don’t live in an earthquake-prone area. At least with hurricanes you know they’re coming. No real surprises there. Not like earthquakes and forest fires.

New dolls. What fun! Hope they both arrive soon.

  4. Good Morning Jeanne,

What a fun post. I never really thought of myself as an AG collector but after spending time here the AG bug has taken ahold. My house is now home to 3 Kits, 2 Felicitys, a Julie, Elizabeth and a Grace (she’s still in her box as is Julie). I’ll blame the girls boxed state on my grandson who I was sure was going to be a doll loving little girl five years ago! LOL Oh yes almost forgot, I still have my daughters bitty baby doll which I will never part with. Even though I know there are different face molds I can’t really tell who’s who except for some of the Historical dolls. Am I the only person that has this problem? Just wondered.
Oh oh looks like four of the girls aren’t earning their keep… yikes! Jeanne good luck on the auction. Josefina’s mix and match ensemble is so sweet!
Sally, thinking of you and hubby and praying for a good outcome and a complete and speedy healing.

    hugs
    Ingrid.

    1. Hi Ingrid,
I’m super with the historical girls as well. Can name every single one from the website.
I know a handful of the GOTY when in their meet outfits and maybe three of the AGOT.

You certainly do have a lot of AG dolls, Jeanne! I know there are some people with a lot more, but you have enough for a baseball team, plus more! I can’t believe you want to get rid of Kirsten! You make the prettiest outfits for her! Of course, things cha ge and sometimes you just want “ something else” , so I think maybe you like sewing for RRFF dolls now, and I can see that you do make a pretty penny on their outfits!

My doll collection, of you can all it that, consists of 10 AG dolls, that I could never part with. I started slow, with Molly, then Felicity, JLY#21, Josefina, ,Cecile, Kaya, Ivy, #49Scarlett, Ruthie, and just recently Kirsten. My dolls are out all the time, and get changed at least twice a month. If that isn’t enough to drive me banana’s, I don’t know what is! But I really enjoy it!

On top of all those, I have bought my two granddaughters a total of 9 AG dolls just for them. I do not feel justified getting more dolls in any shape or form! I see a lot of dolls I like, but don’t feel that I have to have everything I like.

    1. Hi Linda,
Jeanne isn’t getting rid of Kirsten entirely, she has two. The “keeper” Kirsten is in the middle of those who stay, between Felicity and Rebecca.

So glad to hear your knee surgery mending is going well. Keep calm and dress dolls while you’re waiting.

I pretty much only knew about the first few PC dolls. I tried to get my daughter (born in 1981) interested but she never even wanted one. At that time I wasn’t into doll collecting so I never thought of buying them for myself. These days I prefer smaller dolls – RRFF on down and am running out of room even for them. My only two 18″ dolls are MA Gracie and Natalie. There is another in the set but I haven’t been able to find one for sale that didn’t look like someone who had her hated dolls.

What are the names of the dolls you are probably selling?

On another subject, many years ago when my hubby was working on an out-of-town job around Christmas he brought home a wonderful Victorian-style yard lamp and a lovely Victorian-style mailbox for my Christmas/Birthday presents. Last week someone demolished my mailbox. It was in the night so I would wager they were drunk and came around the corner too fast and to keep from running into the ditch on one side of the road overcompensated and ran into my mailbox. I have no idea how neither of us heard it because it had to have been loud. Plus I can’t imagine the damage they did to their vehicle because it’s metal.

At first we thought it might have been mailbox bashing and that would be unusual for here, but the police said there was no record of any of that going on. But after David took a closer look at the damage he saw the post was bent and that implied someone ran into it. My mail lady has been so helpful and has been delivering my mail to my door each day. I offered to go pick the mail up but she wouldn’t hear of it. She’s used to coming to my door anyway because I get a lot of packages. My dolly girls are avid shoppers. The new post and mailbox have arrived and hopefully the weather will hold so the guys can get everything set up. I opted for a Victorian style to go with my yard lamp but this one sits over a treated wooden post as most of the decorative ones seem to these days. But the amusing thing is that treated wood here doesn’t last much longer than non-treated. We discovered that when we used treated wood to put up a fence.

Sean and Dionne’s curtains are finished and I’m pleased, both that they are done and how they turned out. I will do the valance for them sometime next week. But today I plan on doing some dolly sewing. I’m pretty sure I’m hearing cheers from the dolly room.

So sorry about the mailbox mishap. I’m sure the local repair place might have an idea of the culprit. If they left any car part behind, often the serial number can be tracked too. But, you probably already know that. But, glad you are getting a new mailbox, but so annoying.
So glad that the curtain tailoring turned out well. I’m sure S & D will appreciate the valance too. 🙂

  7. That’s a fun website to see them all posted together. That poster always has the latest news.
You have a large collection ,Jeanne, so i can see weeding out a few since you can only sew for so many.

I have six PC/AG dolls now. My first was my PC German Samantha followed by PC West German Felicity, then Nellie (renamed and customized with 33’s wig), Caroline (renamed), Marie-Grace (renamed), and finally my latest, PC Josefina, who is my Milargros.
One more is probably my limit and the combination I want doesn’t exist, not even in the CYO line.

  8. What a fun post! Love seeing all of the AG dolls. I have eight and that is all my sewing room can handle. In an email I will send 2 more dolls dressed for Fall.
