HI everyone,

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Wow!!! TWELVE bids already!! I’m impressed!
I do hope you are getting some extra rest, Jeanne, and starting to feel much better. Take care, and if you need an extra day, don’t worry about us “sofa sisters”. We’ll be here when you are ready!
Hi Jeanne,
Do hope you are feeling a whole lot better, sometimes we. Just need to unwind. I have something to pass along to the girls and.maybe they already know about. We have a doll maker here in NH. Gail Wilson. She has a great website. I have a few of her dolls that she did in the seventies. For a few years she has been making Hitty. She originally was a wooden doll.and there was a child’s book written about her in 1929. I just read it and it is the cutest book. It is a quick read but if you like dolls you will love this. If any of you haven’t been on gailwilson.com and want something to do, check it out.
Actually it is gailwilsondesigns.com Good if I had checked it out before I wrote you all!
Sylvia
Sylvia, I love her dolls! I actually have one of her cloth dolls that was from a UFDC conference event some years back; I’m going to have to look for her and see what her name is. I also have some of her kits, such as for the 11″ basic doll and some of her things; my friend Daria had them, too, and we were going to make them together. Sadly, Daria passed away 14 years ago. I think maybe now I can get the kits out and start working on them; for a while, I couldn’t.
And yes, I do “know” Hitty! I have her books (there’s also a larger picture-book of her story in addition to the original one–which, by the way, I read as a child!), and I have a Hitty that was made by the Robert Raikes company some 20+ years ago. I’ve even sewn for her! (She’s Tiny!!)
Dear Jeanne, I hope you are feeling better. We are all sending you healing hugs.
