Thanks everyone, for your very kind and wonderful wishes to us on our 39th Anniversary. I read them to my hubby… :o)
We took a little trip to Paducah, KY, and just did what we wanted… no real agenda. If we saw some place we wanted to stop, we did… Of course masks were required everywhere and most of the restaurants were still closed to dine in eating. We ended up at Olive Garden and had a nice dinner.
We stopped at some thrift type places, a few antique stores and some bargain stores. It was fun but we put in a full day and we were very tired when we got home… Lots of walking….
Anyway, I just wanted to remind you that Nyssa’s dress set ends tonight (Sunday) on Ebay… You can see the listing by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
I don’t like to have a post without a picture, so here’s one of my favorites of Nyssa…
or maybe this one…
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Your day trip sounds like fun, Jeanne. Now I hope you can recover from all that fun!
I am at my dad’s home. He invited 4 people for dinner today. I have been working the last week or so to be ready. His house has not had any cleaning since last year. My mom was sick well before the holidays so who knows when she had last felt up to that. I have things whipped into shape but whew, I may need all of this week to recover.
Sunday is a day of rest and your feet probably need it. Think of an easy, cool dinner and enjoy the day and your beautiful yard. Choose something easy to demonstrate for us tomorrow, unless you have a slide show ready to go.
Dear Jeanne, what a lovely day you shared with your husband. I hope you are able to rest today.
There are 110 days until Christmas. Too early to think about that though (laugh).
Glad you had a fun day! Hopefully last really hot day… supposed to be 101🌞😧🥵
Glad you and George had a fun day. It reminds me of the time 5 years ago when I visited my sister in UK. She is an avid clothes shopper and on one occasion we were in a very big shop of several floors mainly clothes. My BIL has trouble with his knees and was in pain but stuck with her, later my niece joined us as she had had a hospital appt in town. I remarked to my BIL that my husband (who was my ex by then) would have been complaining all the time and would have gone and found a chair somewhere and told me to find him when I had finished. My niece said hers wouldn’t even have come in, he was complaining about dropping her off. Dave said “I just like being with my lovely wife whatever she is doing”. Which is probably why they celebrated their Golden Wedding (50 years) last year!
Looking forward the next lesson.
I plan to have a day sewing today and hope to nearly finish this outfit. Unfortunately I don’t have any props like you, Jeanne (I do keep looking) and since it is only barely spring there isn’t much in the way of ‘pretty’ in the garden, the pots on the deck are all waiting for the spring planting so not sure where I will photograph her but we’ll see.
