Bitty Baby doll & clothes lot up for auction…

UPDATE: Bitty Baby’s hgh bid is now $40!! Thank you!!!

I’m trying hard to let loose of some things that are taking up space in my new sewing room. But when they are as cute as Bitty Baby, it’s hard. She is just adorable…and I’ll tell you all about her and the details of her auction…Right HERE on my blog! :o)

She is a blonde, Pleasant Company Bitty Baby doll with Gray eyes.

She is in excellent condition with no odors or marks on her sweet little body.

Her neck string is tied at the side. Her cloth body is clean and so are her limbs.

Pleasant Company is stamped on the back of her neck.

I didn’t see any shine marks on her face and the back of her head has very minimal wear.

Her eyes open and close as they should and her sweet blonde eyelashes are all intact.

She is wearing her pajamas and they are very clean as well. I see no marks or stains or holes in them.

I am going to include several authentic American Girl outfits with this auction…and they are adorable.

The first one is her Frosty Fun Snow Suit. It is made from a quilted fabric with a white fur trimmed hood that zips up and keeps Bitty Baby very warm. Also included with this outfit is the little Bear rattle. Both pieces are in like new condition.

Here is a listing I found on Ebay that shows how she looks in the snow suit…

The second outfit is her Santa’s Helper Christmas set. It includes the red crushed velvet swing top, the red tights, a pair of darling red sparkly shoes, a long pointed hat for Bitty and one for her bear, (which I don’t have.) This set is as sweet as can be.

I found a listing on Ebay so you could see what the Christmas outfit looks like on her…although they didn’t put her red tights on…

The third outfit is not American Girl, but a fun play outfit with a top, a pair of white bloomers, and 2 pairs of socks and a diaper.

I think you might know someone who would be thrilled to have this whole set…It’s only 5 months till Christmas… you’d make some little girl very happy if she opened up all this!

So this can all be yours if you are the high bidder. I am going to start this whole set at $25.00 and you can bid by emailing me your bids. Hit the “Contact Me” tab at the top of my blog header to reach me or if you have trouble with that… my email address is jeannewiedlocher@gmail.com

The shipping will be $10.00 plus whatever is the highest bid. (Sorry, this is just for my U.S. readers) I will run this auction until midnight (Central Standard Time Zone) Saturday night, so you have 3 days to place your bids. I will keep an update at the top of my blog post whenever a new bid comes in for the next few days so you can see the current high bid and adjust yours if need be. If you want to check to see the latest bid, just go to my blog post each day and it will be on the first line… UPDATE ON BITTY BABY BIDDING…
I won’t post any names in the updates, just what the bid is. I’ll keep track of it on paper to see who bids at what time. If 2 bids come in with the same bid amount, I will go by which ever one was sent to me first and that will be the high bidder.

I hope someone needs a Bitty Baby doll for some special little girl in their life.

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Your Bitty Baby is in beautiful condition, and such wonderful outfits are included! If my granddaughter were a number of years younger, I know she’d have loved to have had her!

On the other hand, since she is a PC Bitty Baby, it could be just what some collector is looking for! I would imagine one could find a replacement Bitty Bear, sooner or later, to wear that little red hat!

Good luck on the auction to everyone!

  2. Jeanne, I had no idea you had a BB in your collection, unless she is a recent purchase! She is perfectly adorable, and I know because I bought one exactly like that for my youngest granddaughter who is now in high school! What a darling wardrobe she has! I especially love the Christmas outfit! Wouldn’t she look adorable sitting under the Christmas tree dressed in that! Some lucky little girl–or lady, is going to be thrilled with this cutie!

  3. Cute extras with Bitty. Someone will be very happy with her.
I’ve been looking at life jackets for the doll set. Lots available at a price, so definitely going to make some. Joann’s still hasn’t gotten in any new fabric. So odd to see barren shelves there. Every person at the cutting counter, surrounded by plastic shields, was buying fabric or elastic for more masks. I was looking for background fabric and found zero, but I did find cotton lining, so bought some because it isn’t easy to find, and some small flat cotton lace. Lots of people there, but very well spaced and masked of course. 🙂

  4. I didn’t know you had a Bitty in your collection either. What other neat things are lurking in your sewing room. As an aside, it’s funny, but I always wonder when people on the boards ay they don’t know if they have such and such or can’t find whatever it is. (doll stuff) I must be super organized because I can find anything I put away and know what box it is in even childhood/high school stuff. You probably knew you had her, being as cute as she is. I loved the ones with gray eyes. We might have gotten into the “Our New Baby” world as I clearly remember the introduction catalog, but by then Kirsten was already here and Felicity was coming for Christmas. I do think the PC stuff made for Bitty was adorable.and the matching items for her bear. That snuggly snowsuit is precious and the Christmas set with the white trim is just so cute. Since she’s a PC one, that is extra special. She always reminds me of my MA baby doll, just bigger I’m not sure what mine is she’s 12 inches with a soft baby and blue sleep, molded hair, but vinyl limbs. She came in a pink flocked nightgown.

Good luck to all the bidders!

Dear Laura, I am on of those “can’t find things” people. Please come to my house and help me organize (laugh).

Your Madame Alexander doll might be a Huggums. If you want to know for sure, you can get me a photo, through Jeanne, and I will pass it on to someone in the Madame Alexander Doll Club. One of their Alexander experts will know.

I’m another of those who could use organizational help! I “sort of”know what I have, but, as the saying goes: “When one is disorganized, one is constantly making exciting discoveries!!” LOL

  5. Laur! My daughter had one like that, a MA baby doll, it I can’t think of her name! Sweet Tears? Tiny Tears?

  6. One of my granddaughters had a BittyBaby that she just loved…it went with her everywhere and it remained one of her favorites even after she had a couple of the 18 inch ones.
It does have the sweetest baby face!
Good luck with her sale..whoever gets her will be very lucky!

  7. Bitty Baby is so cute, but I’m not much of a baby doll person. I would consider this for my granddaughter, but last year for my daughter-in-law’s birthday we got her the reborn baby doll she was just dying to have. Crazy thing is that this year for her birthday she will be getting a real baby. She is due on 1/23 and her birthday is 1/21, so I guess my granddaughter will be the new mom for the reborn baby.

Gracie is so excited Natalie is coming to live with us. She says she has plenty of clothes to share so I don’t have to do any sewing before she arrives. But now, since she and Camille have several sister outfits, Gracie told me I need to include Natalie when I make sister outfits. When that happens I’ll send pictures.
