I was still having trouble getting any pictures to load onto my blog post tonight, and since Kristoffer came over to work on a bookcase project, I coerced him into looking at my computer to see if he could figure out what might be the problem. As soon as he clicked on the “select files” link, he said, “that’s a dead link; you can’t do anything with that.” Since that’s the link I have to use to upload my pictures, I knew it was going to be another night of trying to write a post using only the pictures I had in my Media Library…(Pictures I’ve already used before.) I guess I’ll be calling Word Press tomorrow and see if they can help me.
I decided to find some archived posts I’d written before and show them again… Maybe they will be new to some of you… hope so! :o)

Well, bummer, I hope your “dead” link gets revived really soon!! In the meantime, however, it was fun to read some of your earlier posts, from before I was reading your blog. I particularly enjoyed the one about the old doll magazines, and the inspiration they can give! In fact, one of those pictures gave me an idea for a possible future dress for one of my LDs, in the way the trim was used (on the diagonal). Hmmm.
I love redheads, too, and of course my favorite among the ones you showed was Janie!
I also read the article about the insides of your dresses looking nice, and the one that you’d linked to it, about the back of Isabelle’s dress. I do much the same as you, except I rarely put button on the backs of dresses, just the snaps. I’d wondered how you did that, in fact, as it seemed like, once the snap was attached, it would be a little tricky to add the button! Now I know! Thanks.
So sorry about your dead link. Almost sounds like a dead bird or something. Speaking of birds, how are the birds at your place doing? Haven’t seen them in a long time. I’m coming back to take a look at all of the posts later. Have to get in gear and get outside early before the crowds of walkers. 🙂

My sister gave me a Ten Ping for my birthday this year and I love her!!! I call her Pepper Ten Ping. The short wig on Ten Ping is called “Doris” and I’ll add a link to the Ebay seller that sells it. Ten Ping takes a size 5-6, which fits her nicely.
The link below is for the style and name of the wig, BUT IT IS THE WRONG SIZE! IT WILL BE TOO SMALL IF YOU ORDER THIS ONE! DON’T ORDER THIS ONE… apparently JuJu’s is out of the size 5/6. Another doll collector just emailed me the other day and got the last 5/6 wig in this color. You might message the seller and see if she has more… maybe she just doesn’t have the picture up but has one in stock.

Although I enjoyed looking at some of the archived works, I frequently look at your past post, some of your appliquéd kids clothes were sew cute. I hope your link gets revived soon! In looking at some of your past creations, it made me wonder how they have ranked as far as best sellers? Is there a style that seems to sell best? Maybe you have A record of past sales? I’m not asking for money info but what buyers seem to bid on the most. I know popular dolls, movies, tv shows are influencers. Any thoughts?
Fun to see some of those old posts again. I loved “Addy’s Southern Charm” dress at the time and it was nice to see it again. I found a couple of the charms (last package they had) you used for her fan shortly after that at Michael’s, but haven’t done anything with them yet. Lovely to see “Springtime in the South” again (Paula, did you win that beautiful dress?) and Rebecca turquoise Easter dress (hmmm must be because you chose my name for it for the first one and my idea for the second LOL)
I saw your reply to Dorothy in PA yesterday about Jane Austen movies. I love those as well. So many of us have similar tastes it seems.
I watched “Northanger Abbey” last fall. I like the 1995 version of” Emma” and the 1996 version of “Sense and Sensibility”. Are we to be treated to a Regency dress next? I think I hear Elizabeth calling from your dolly shelf.

I like the Emma version with Kate Beckinsale best. I like the 2008 Sense and Sensibility with Hattie Morahan. And of course, I like Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth!!!
I got the DVD for Sanditon. As you know, it was begun by JA just before she passed away and was completed in movie form by Andrew Davies. It was on PBS in January.
I agree, it would be nice to see one of Jeanne’s girls in a Regency dress.
Hi Dorothy, I haven’t tried any of those versions. The Pride and Prejudice I first saw is the old black and white with Greer Garson. I do like that one. I’ll need to try the others sometime.
Yes, I had Sanditon on reserve at the library, kept going down in the list to get it. I got it two weeks before our library closed and managed to watch two episodes before it was due back. The next person gets to keep it until the library opens again, whenever that will be, so I have to reserve it again in the future.
