Renovation:
(According to Wikipedia) also called remodeling, is the process of improving a broken, damaged, or outdated structure. Renovations are typically either commercial or residential. Additionally, renovation can refer to making something new, or bringing something back to life and can apply in social contexts.
(According to Merriam-Webster)
1.) to restore to a former better state (as by cleaning, repairing, or rebuilding)
2.) to restore to life, vigor, or activity : revive
Resurrection:
(According to Wikipedia) The resurrection of Jesus, is the Christian belief that God raised Jesus after His crucifixion and started his exalted life as Christ and Lord. In Christian theology, the death and resurrection of Jesus are the most important events, a foundation of the Christian faith, and commemorated by Easter. His resurrection is the guarantee that all the Christian dead will be resurrected at Christ’s second coming. For the Christian tradition, the bodily resurrection was the restoration to life of a transformed body powered by spirit, as described by Paul and the Gospels, that led to the establishment of Christianity.
(According to Merriam-Webster)
1.) the rising of Christ from the dead
2.) the rising again to life of all the human dead before the final judgment, the state of one risen from the dead, resurgence, revival
We are choosing to rest from our “renovations” today and consider the “resurrection” of our Lord!
Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Wishing you all health joy and peace as you celebrate the true meaning of Easter.
Love the photo of the lilacs (hate the smell).
Rebecca’s room is looking great, the grey is perfect.
Happy Easter Jane,
Thank you for your Easter wishes to all of us!
Hav a wonderful day…(and don’t smell the lilacs!) :o)
Blessings, Jeanne
A blessed Easter to you and yours, Jeanne–and to all who read this blog! It seems we’ve become a group of friends, even though most of us have never met!
Re: yesterday’s comments. I will try to get a picture or two taken of our wedding pictures, since several people seemed interested. Since lilacs don’t hold up well out of water, I carried roses, and my attendants had the tiny Vanda orchids and white carnations. But everywhere else in the church, it was lilacs!
Hi Charlotte,
A very Blessed Easter Sunday to you too!
We would love to see all those lilacs at your wedding!
Blessings, Jeanne
Amen.
Thank you Becky!
I hope you have a very blessed day!
Blessings, Jeanne
Merry Christmas! It’s quite white here but I think the roads are nearly clear of both snow and cars. I’m learning to walk with a cane, which is a lovely move forward.
Stay well, all of you, and next year may be better. For sure Rebecca’s room will be beautiful.
Hi Marilyn,
Merry Christmas AND Happy Easter on the same day!!
Wow!!! Wonderful news about your walking progress… slow and steady is just perfect!!
One of these days you’ll be walking out of there…and walking into your home!!
Blessings to you, Marilyn,
~ Jeanne
How very special too see you back Marilyn.
Take some blessed forward steps today.
Hugs
Glad you are making such good progress Marilyn!
A very happy Easter for you indeed!
Happy Resurrection Day!! Happy Easter, friends!! I’m watching our Easter service online. Our pastor has be coming to church each Sunday and doing the service online from the sanctuary. I brought up the screen and there are Easter lilies by the altar, even though no one but his family can be there.
In case anyone wants to see my church

Just wanted to add that we always sing from hymnals, but the screen was put in during this time because not everyone has a copy of our hymnal at home. We do. 🙂
Thank you for sharing Laura,
It seems online church services are working out just fine… but it’s not the same as seeing everyone in person… I can’t wait to give a few people hugs like I like to do! :o)
Thanks for showing us your church… it’s very fancy…and BIG! :o)
I hope your Easter was wonderful! Ours was very nice…just us and the kids…
Thanks Laura,
Blessings, Jeanne
Amen to your post today on the Resurrection, Jeanne.
I wish everyone a peaceful and thoughtful Easter.
Thank you Paula,
I hope you had a peaceful day too…
Blessings, Jeanne
Happy Easter everyone and Jeanne! I love reading all the wonderful greetings today from my friends here on the blog! While we are more than likely at home by ourselves, we are really not alone. We are alone together, and just to be able to connect with each of you makes it so nice! This is certainly a different way to celebrate, but still, we ARE celebrating!
Marilyn, I am so happy for you that you are making such great progress! You are truly what Easter is about!
Laura, your church is just beautiful! Thank you for the links!
HI Linda,
I’m so glad for technology and how we can be in our homes but not isolated from each other… just consider this time off from the rest of the world for a little while.
The wonderful thing is, the Lord is ALWAYS with us… no matter where we are or who our company is!
I hope you had a nice Easter Linda,
I’ll have to show your Easter dresses on your girls when I can get them uploaded…
Blessings, Jeanne

Happy Easter to everyone!! David and I were truly blessed to be able to attend our church service today. It was morning prayer rather than the Communion service we usually have on Easter, but it was a blessing to be able to participate. The service is online, but we are in the choir and a few weeks ago our organist said our priest was looking for volunteers from the choir to sing for the services so he could get some music back into the service. We have about 11 members in the choir but we had to limit participation to no more than five so there would be only ten total at the service. There ended up being 9. David and I wanted to do it before but with him being ill and in the hospital for a week and then recuperating and my sinus infection, there was no hope of us doing this before today so three choir members have held down the fort. If more would volunteer we would alternate but only five of us volunteered. Just being inside the church again was amazing. But it was bittersweet. Since our son and his family go to the same church, there was something missing in them not being there but we chose to dwell on the fact that, with all that has happened the past couple weeks, we were there. It felt like our resurrection day. Definitely a day of joy for us.
Hi Barbara,
I’m glad you and your hubby got to be inside your church today… maybe it won’t be too much longer till we can all go back to the way it used to be. Oh, the things we used to take for granted!
I hope your day was a joy filled one!
Blessings, Jeanne
We had a nice Easter via TV too. It was an awfully cold windy day so staying in was fine. Spent all day yesterday making cinnamon rolls so since it was really nice yesterday we delivered rolls to all the kids and g-kids and said hello outside for a few minutes at each house. Then today we all visited via Zoom. That was really fun.
Stay warm, stay well, virtual hugs to everyone😷
HI Kathie,
Happy Easter to you! I’m glad you are safe and sound in Omaha… making cinnamon rolls and passing them out to your kids…how sweet was that!! :o)
A big hug back to you!
Blessings ,Jeanne
