I didn’t realize I had so many Christmas dresses to show… it seems like I surely should be out of them, but I keep finding more. I hope you don’t mind… I can’t believe Christmas is this week…
I better get started… I still have a lot to show…
Nellie’s up first with some crushed velvet dresses from Christmas’s past…
Next up is 7 1/2″ Tulah, by Helen Kish…
Millie was a sweet and skinny 11″ dolly sculpted by Kaye Wiggs…
Isabelle modeled this dress and I won 3rd place for it in a Christmas dress contest by Dianna Effner.
This next dress on Lian was one of my VERY VERY favorite dresses!
Janie has ONE Christmas dress to show you…
Rebecca is up next in a variety of Christmas dresses…
Oh, now how did THIS picture get in here???
Back to Rebecca…. the doll…
Another one of my favorite Christmas dresses. I’ve been searching for this fabric for a few years too…
Oh dear…another really special favorite…
Here comes Kit in a few Christmas dresses…
Ellowyne had a sparse modeling career with Christmas dresses, but she sure does look pretty when she’s dressed up!
I can usually remember things but I found a picture of this necklace Rebecca made to go with this dress, so I’m guessing the winner must have asked for a necklace? I just can’t remember…
Here are a couple pictures of Christmas dresses on my 16″ Kish Four Seasons dolls…
The “Old” Vintage Velvet dress and the new one just completed…
Okay, that’s all for today… I think that’s plenty to keep you occupied until tomorrow when I’ll finish up my Christmas dresses from the past. I hope you’re enjoying seeing them all again…
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh, goody, more eye candy! Such a fun post.
Well, right off the bat, I do like Nellie’s burgundy velvet dress–so elegant! Millie’s blue dress is very sweet–I do love snowflakes!!
I didn’t realize you had even entered a contest–Isabelle’s dress is just lovely. Congratulations!
And Lian’s dress….I think it’s one of just about ALL of our very very favorites! It certainly is one of mine!!
That red plaid fabric, kind of shiny….I remember seeing/buying fabrics like that, maybe 10 years ago or so? I think I have some, too–although perhaps not that exact plaid. As I recall, there were some solid fabrics, as well as some plaids. Now if I can remember just which of the mumblety-number of boxes I put it in…..
I’m so glad you showed a close-up of the skirt of Kit’s purple velvet dress–it really shows the texture and richness so well!!
They are all so beautiful–and it was fun to see the pictures of you and your “babies”, too!! I’m looking forward to reading who likes which ones best!
One of the many things I am marveling at is all the perfect little tiny things you have used with these beautiful dresses. When the doll is only 7.5 inches tall, those little gingerbread buttons are really little! The fabric pattern was so tiny as well. Then there are the tiny little plush teddy bears, a moose, a monkey and even a tiny little spool doll! The beads trimming a bodice would require an extremely fine needle with a very slender eye. Your hand embroidery is gorgeous and mimics the fabric designs. I am all astonishment!
So curiosity has it, but when was the Christmas dress contest put on by Dianna Effner and on what site? Congratulations whenever it occurred. Lovely entry.
Was able to wrap all of the presents yesterday except that very heavy basketball hoop. We’ll see if other person wants to wrap it today. And if not, it will sport only a ribbon. 🙂
The big day is quickly approaching. Hope everyone is ready! 🙂
Safe trip to Cypress, Texas, only a three-hour ✈️. Unlike the 18-hour marathon to get to West Virginia in past years through DC and then scary flights on Treetop Airlines. Beautiful weather but raining hard at home. Glad to be here.
The dolls are dressed like Mrs. Santa was sure extra busy this year. I wonder if she designs them herself or does Jeanne help her. There are always details I haven’t seen before. My favorite, if I totally narrow it down, is Kirsten’s little purse 👛. Thanks for keeping up the blog at the busiest time of the year. Merry Christmas Eve Eve.
Susette where do you live? We seem to both have a connection to Cypress. While here you will get to celebrate Christmas while also enjoying a return to spring for a few days. But I guess it beats 1989 when we had snow, ice and temperatures in the single digits for Christmas. The freeways were iced over and traveling was treacherous. Not a good time to visit anytime when it’s like that let alone during the holidays when people have places to go and things to do.
I do love that beautiful dress on Lian. I think I’m going to have to copy that sometime. I know that my Little Darlings would absolutely love to have it or maybe two or three. I can see a lot of combinations for all times of the year.
I love Nellie’s outfit. So stylish from head to toe. and Isabelle really shows off her dresses to perfection. All the other dresses are lovely.
Since I still have most of the dolly outfits I’ve made, I never thought to take pictures. But I did sell a few outfits once that I wish I had taken pictures of because I’d really like to duplicate them, especially one of the dresses I loved but really can’t recall what it looked like.
Much on my plate today. Must clean the bathroom and wrap all the gifts. We have a busy day at church tomorrow with singing for two services and two pre-service music presentations. Will be there from 3:15 p.m. until almost 9:30 p.m. Christmas will be as busy as I want to make it (plan on spending the day in my sewing room). But I will probably take it easy some to prepare for the day after when we celebrate family Christmas and my birthday. I’m trying to fit in my hubby taking me to the Cheesecake Factory for another birthday dinner. It’s in an area that is hugely decorated and I want to go while the lights are still lit. And then there’s New Year’s Eve at Texas Roadhouse and celebrating Jaiden’s 8th birthday. Then our New Year’s Day fondue. No rest for the weary – for awhile at least.
Such fun to see all the lovely Christmas dresses and there are a few I’ve not seen. Kirstoffer looks so dapper in his Christmas attire and Rebecca is a doll. Did George have red hair since both you kids do? My mom used to babysit for five kids- two sets of twins and four had red hair while one of the twins was blonde. The parents had brown and blonde hair. The kids got the red hair from a great- grandparent!
Love that first Civil War dress on Rebecca, especially the bonnet, spot on for the era. The plaid one is equally lovely. I’m always happy to see those Little Women dresses again. The double puffed sleeve one on Rebecca is my favorite. Ahhh, Christmas Rose was a truly elegant Regency dress and the dainty Juliet cap is so sweet.
Were hitting 53 degrees today, I think a white Christmas is out of the picture this year. I did one last trip through the stores in town this morning to see “Christmas” before the after sales in case there’s something I wanted to keep in mind at the sale price, but there isn’t.. Stopped by the pet store and got the furbabies some Christmas toys that were on sale. yeah!
Finally getting here! It took forever for the computer to load all those gorgeous dresses! I am knee deep in cleaning today, and still have one bathroom to go! Decided this was more fun!!
Oh gosh, who could ever say one dress is better than the rest? I cannot even begin to! I do love the velvet and velveteen dresses, with the lace, so simple and elegant. I could be here all day commenting on this and that, but do also like that beautiful rose print dress on
Rebecca with the darling little reticule! Just precious!
Loved the sweet pictures of you with your real life dolls, Jeanne. Where did the time go?
Susette, glad to hear you made it safe and sound from L.A. looks like the middle of the country will have a nice Christmas weather wise.
I see that the Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls have been discovered on AGPT, finally, and are a hit!
Back to the gallows now!😩
