If you missed yesterday’s post, you might want to check it out HERE. It was wonderful to see such pretty pictures of my sister’s home.
Now who tried something new? You’ll have to let me know what you did or what you learned from Cindy… We’ll call this a pictorial teaching post!
But for now, we can finish up with the rest of her pictures… some from last year and some from this year… just enjoy…
Just had to give a shout out to her hubby…he carved this Noah’s Ark and all the animals… adds new ones every so often… isn’t it wonderful?
These were the stockings for everyone last year… they decided to have the adults draw names for the little kids…
This was her beautiful tree last year… a live one again!
I hope you enjoyed the last 2 days of looking at pictures. I sure did!
See you tomorrow!
Blessings, Jeanne
Tonight it was easy to pick a favorite–well, two or three favorites! I love the Noah’s ark and all the animals, also the gingerbread house, and all those vintage ornaments spread out over a tabletop (I think). Everything is lovely, but those were my favorites! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Charlotte,
Glad you found a few favorites in among Cindy’s pictures today. You should see that Noah’s Ark in person…it is incredible!!
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
No, not going to tell you what I liked most, Jeanne, because I cannot pick! I’d be here all day! So I will say that wow, that Noah’s Ark is amazing, the tall angel with the white evergreens is just stunning, especially with the glow lights on in the background, the wonderful scene of the building , trees, and old fashioned car, and the painting in the background that just “finishes” the look, the gingerbread house with snow (what IS the snow?). her beautiful tree and welcoming front door decoration,—– I must stop!!!! I love how Cindy has stayed true to her theme in decorating, nothing garish or cheap looking, and always with meaning in their lives. Truly a remarkable way to celebrate the Christmas season!
Thank you both, Jeanne and Cindy for welcoming us to your home!
Linda, Thank you again for the sweet compliments. Just thought I’d pass along that the gingerbread house is just one of those boxed kits you find at the store. I helped my granddaughters put it together and the snow is just sifted powered sugar.
I had no idea! Hm, maybe I need to get one of those….although MY granddaughter is 2000 miles away!! 🙁
Thanks Cindy!
Hi Linda,
Wouldn’t it be fun if we could all take a tour of Cindy’s house and ask her about all her things sitting around?
Thanks Linda,
Glad you enjoyed the tour,
Blessings, Jeanne
I’ll bet Noah’s Ark makes it to near the top of everyone’s list. I wanted the front door yesterday and I still want it today. That and the stockings. The gray sideboard is something that might work in my house. I have a dresser that needs work and that might give me an idea. I love all the lights.
I’m afraid it’s time to create categories for all the “My life, uncategorized” entries. 2019 is your year to index. Happy New Year!
Thank you Marilyn,
It’s fun for me to see what catches everyone eye and I bet it is for Cindy too!
I DO have quite a varied assortment of topics under “uncategorized” don’t I?
Thanks so much for your comments,
Blessings, Jeanne
So many wonderful ideas to be digested from Cindy’s fab decor. I’ve always loved those slab chalkboard pieces that she made as gifts for her husband’s work party, and the tree of life on the stand is an amazing one. Was that one Cindy’s work too? So pretty. I loved the snowy house and old car yesterday, and today’s with the treescape including a tiny one tied on the car top is delightful. I think what I like best is the glow of the vignettes. The special lighting with no cords in sight is amazing. And all of the little extras peeking out from surprise places keeps the eye moving and causes such pleasure. Thank you Jeanne and Cindy.
Hi Joy,
I’m sure that was one of her chalk pieces…it’s very pretty, isn’t it?
My hubby and I went shopping today, to 2 antique stores and i found lots of trucks with Christmas trees on top…and even one tractor with one on it…loved it!
I’m glad her pictures were enjoyed by everyone yesterday and today…
It was fun for me to share them…
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, you sister is a true decorating wizard !! I love this style because it is warm and cozy. I had fun studying all the pictures for the little details. There is a lot to see !!
Thank you for the fun.
Hi Jeannie,
I totally agree…Cindy is a decorating wizard…it comes easy to her and she LOVES doing it.
I’m so glad you enjoyed looking at the places and spaces she creates in her home.
I was wondering about you and Jack a few days ago…maybe let me know???
Blessings, Jeanne
Dear Jeanne, wow, wow, wow! These photos are amazing.
My favorite is the scene with the drawing of the old fashion scene in the frame on the wall with the toy car right under it.
Your sister is truly an amazing decorator!
Hi Dorothy,
It’s funny that you picked out that picture with the painting on the wall…that is actually a watercolor painting Cindy did of the town square when they lived in Middlebury, Vermont. I have a print of it too. I can’t remember, but I think she sold them there… maybe she’ll see this and answer.
I’m so glad you enjoyed her home tour.
Blessings, Jeanne
That Noah’s Ark is simple amazing. What a very talented man Cindy’s husband is. I assume that takes pride of place year round.
What a lovely assortment of old ornaments. I love all the old ones from the turn of the century through the “sugar bells” and Shiny Brite that came later. What a sweet gingerbread house, those are a quintessential element of childhood Christmas.
love the feather tree. My great aunt always had one with the tiny little ornaments.
I think one thing I really like is that no matter where you look there is an element of light.-Lit branches, candles, trees, lanterns, houses…
Thank you so much for inviting us to see. Now I wonder how you decorate the rest of the year.

Hi Laura,
I’m not sure if they leave the Noah’s ark out year round or not…it truly is something. He had actually carved it first my mom years ago and made her a new set of animals every year. A few years ago she wanted them to take it back home with them…it truly is remarkable!!
You are so right about the light… it Grace’s many areas in Cindy’s home.
Maybe we can get a Spring tour of her home one of these days!!
Thanks Laura,
I hope you and your family are managing…
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh my, that was wonderful! She is truly amazing and not only the items she uses but how she puts them together are great! Maybe my house will look that nice when I grow up!
LOL!
Hi Kathie,
I think Cindy is the ONE WHO NEEDS TO WRITE A BOOK!!! She has tons of pictures already and she could make it an instructional book…as well as a look book, explaining how and why she uses what she does.
Thanks so much, Kathie,
Blessings, Jeanne
Thank you everyone who commented & complimented so many things in the pictures that Jeanne posted. You all have been very kind. Everyone should discover battery lights! My husband says I should have stock in batteries!?. Yes, the painting is of Middlebury VT. Christmas is just a couple days away now & we all have lots to do! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
Thank you for the beautiful photos! Merry Christmas!
