The day has finally arrived where I listed Felicity’s dress on Ebay. I scrapped the idea of using the Christmas background because the title was about Fall, not Christmas. (thank you very much Dorothy, for being honest… and saying it’s too soon for Christmas!) I agree I did need a few Fall dresses before the Christmas ones are shown.
I wanted desperately to take some pictures outside and I wish I had some place in my yard that was pretty, but right now it’s kind of a mess… leaves are falling and they are the crispy, crunchy kind, not the pretty red and gold and yellow ones you think of. So I searched all over my yard and finally decided on the stack of bricks behind our courtyard and then a few pictures in the gazebo and then a couple just on the ground.
Here is Felicity in a few of those outside shots… they are also in my listing, which you can see by clicking her picture on the right side bar or click HERE.
I have been very busy today and thought I was ready to go to bed, when I realized I hadn’t written a post…oops! So these pictures will have to do.
I have something fun for tomorrow’s post… but I just didn’t have time to get it all together for today…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Your outdoor pictures turned out beautifully, Jeanne! I like the one with the porch in the background (almost makes me think of a gazebo), but I think the last one is my favorite, as it has some interesting shadows, the trellis (I think it is), and a bush in the background. She looks like she’s ready to go calling on Great-Aunt Martha or something!
Best wishes with the auction!
Thank you Charlotte,
Actually the picture you like IS taken on my gazebo…I liked the looks of it in the background too.
The last picture was taken out by the trellis my hubby made for my Clematis to climb up…
There were actually a few purple flowers blooming on it, but they were way up high…
I’m glad you liked them Charlotte,
Blessings, Jeanne
I love the outdoor pictures, Jeanne, especially the ones inside the gazebo! It gives interest to the background without being too overbearing. I also like the one on the ground with the leaves all around. After all, it IS fall! The last picture almost looks like she is actually walking! I certainly do hope she had a good time at the party!
Fall is my favorite time of the year, and we should try to make it last as long as we can. Trouble is, where IS it? Too warm now, but lets’ hope it is coming soon!
HI Linda,
Thanks so much Linda! I bet you have some pretty places in your yard…. Felicity should have visited you for pictures.
She did have a good time at the Ball.
Yes…where is Fall? Last night at 10:00 it was almost 80 degrees… I’m ready for sweaters and corduroy!! :o)
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
The outdoor photos are wonderful! My favorite is the enlargement with the gazebo behind. So realistic. And a close second the one with the leaves. Had to pop over to the auction too and the close up of the stitching on the dress front without the fichu is a nice addition. Great photo shoot fun.
I was looking at a sweet doll quilt for the Meadow Dumpling/Twinkle group. The squares are 1 3/8″. Pretty tiny and maybe only 12×15 inches so might not take too long to make. Hmm, another project in thought only.
Only received one post today, I Dream of Jeanne Marie. Maybe that is why so few comments?
Pretty cool here this morning. No shorts today. 🙂
Thank you Joy,
I was glad to have some outside pictures for my auction. I like them too and it makes me really want to come up with a pretty spot for future pictures… some place where I don’t have to lay on the ground to get them.
So you might be making a tiny quilt, huh? Sounds fun…I’ve been working on something tiny…you’ll see it tomorrow!
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
Our weather reports indicate very different weather. Our first snow is just a dusting, which is good because snow on green leaves breaks the branches. It should get up to 34 today and will be cold and clammy all day.
Felicity’s dress is a winner for sure. The pictures are wonderful. The first could have been taken at the Merriman’s house. The last one, with the cobblestones, is perfect for fall (although not mine today), and the second one, with Felicity looking into the future, is my personal favorite.
Stay warm and safe, wherever you are.
HI Marilyn,
So you got snow? I’m just wanting some Fall weather… but no snow just yet.
I like that second picture too, and when I saw it on my computer, I was a bit surprised. It was so clear and so big and Felicity looked so beautiful…
Thanks Marilyn,
Blessings, Jeanne
Love the outdoor photos, too, and the last one is my favorite. Looks like she’s walking to town in that one. So cute. You got a good shot of the ruching, too! Best of luck! Hugs, Ali
HI Ali,
I’m so glad my pictures turned out as nicely as they did. I wanted everyone to see how pretty the fabric really was in the natural light.
Thanks so much Ali,
Blessings, Jeanne
I like the outdoor pics also. The last one does look like she is strolling outdoors and I like the one with leaves in the background too. Such a pretty outfit and just right for fall weather. Nice job Jeanne
Thanks so much Carole,
I am glad you enjoyed my pictures of Felicity”s dress set. I really do need to take more outside pictures… they make everything seem so much more alive!!!
Thanks again,
Blessings, Jeanne
Gorgeous outfit, Jeanne! She does indeed look lovely outdoors. Soon the weather will be changing and we won’t be able to take those outdoor pictures. I’m glad you went with the fall theme too.
Oh Jeanne, Felicity’s entire outfit is beautiful. Every piece enhance’s her gown. It is just beautiful and do are your outside pictures. They are so clear with the natural light. It really looks like Felicity is walking outside in whatever Colonial town she is in. The one with the bricks looks like a road or sidewalk in her village. Felicity looks pretty
“ real” in her lovely outfit. Love the story of her mama calling out to her to hurry as she slowly gets dressed.
I love the outdoor pictures. Looks like you have a beautiful place to take these pictures. I was trying to decide if there was a place in my yard to take nice pictures. I couldn’t come up with one. Would have to go somewhere else. Felicity’s dress is lovely and I love her bonnet. I’m more into “modern” dressing for all my girls but I do love to see the clothes of historical eras. I’ve got some new patterns for my LD and a couple other dolls that are lovely period attire, but they take longer to make and the girls are so impatient. An excuse on my part. I wish I knew where all the members of this blog live when you talk about the weather. After growing up in Bethlehem, PA, I now live in Texas near Houston and Fall is finally knocking on our door after a very long, hot summer. It was lovely this morning and Monday the low will be in the 50s and the high in the 60s. My favorite weather. I’m going to be putting up all my outside Halloween decorations this weekend (a hearse, pumpkin carriage, a couple black cats, an eerie tree and a boo sign). Can’t wait. My favorite time of year, but sure do miss my northern Fall.
