WOW! Two pink Valentine’s Day coats for sale…

I was laying in bed last night trying to figure out how I was going to make Samantha’s debut dress. I had a million ideas floating around in my head and was having a little bit of “pattern overload” going on. That’s when I’ve looked at too many patterns and just can’t decide what direction I want to go. I have some fabrics picked out and hope to narrow it down soon…

In the meantime, I whipped up 2 fun coats for my 2 newest girls… It only seemed fair to let them model the coats…

I’m not exactly sure why they both look like they have a suntan. I used the same lights as I usually do, but they look a bit sunkissed.
Now, Nellie did come to me with a bit of tan… but I was surprised to see my pictures of Samantha be so dark.

Well, I’m not selling the dolls, so I guess it really doesn’t matter, but I do need to figure out what makes them look that way.

Anyway, I made 2 coats, in slightly different ways, and have them listed with a BUY IT NOW on Ebay…

They both picked out an animal from the Dolly Toy Box and they both have the sweetest pair of pink boots!

You can see them by clicking on the pictures at the right side bar, or you can click HERE to see Samantha… and HERE to see Nellie.

I hope you enjoy these pictures of my girls…

Thanks everyone,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. That was fast! What a surprise. Congratulations on two really cute outfits. I love that you found or made boots that go so well with the coats.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
I found the boots at Hobby Lobby…aren’t they the cutest things. I think even I would wear a pair of them!!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. So cute and yes, as Marilyn mentioned, fast! And those boots! You know what I think? These could also make cute bathrobes, of course without the hats! I know you don’t normally make robes, but these are really cute, and little nightgowns to go with them would work out well too, with fuzzy slippers! Just a thought!
A windy day here, boy, have to hold onto my hat for sure!! Have a good day, Jeanne!

    1. Hi Linda,
I was looking at a bath robe pattern that I have for the dolls and thinking just the opposite of what you said, that “it” would make a really cute coat. I might have to give it a try and see what I think.
Yes, my goodness, it about blows you away when you step outside.
      Thanks Linda
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Hi Becky,
They both looked pretty cute side by side…it was just a fun thing to make while I’m deciding on Samantha’s dress…
      Glad you liked them.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Aw they are adorable. Warm and toasty too. Love the pink boots.
I was thinking about the dress pattern you used for the Promise of Spring. Wouldn’t that be sweet sized for a Little Darling? Maybe in some sort of pinkish/red Valentine fabric. I really like that pattern. Your girls could be having that tea party. Maybe a pair. One for an AG and another for a LD. Here I am making you work even harder. 🙂
Did you get snow? Maybe it was further north.

    1. Hi Joy,
We had to get a new printer to go along with our new computer, and it does reductions and enlargements, so maybe I can reduce the size of that pattern. Oops, I just remembered it’s not a paper pattern it’s a cloth pattern so that probably won’t work, but I could probably come up with something…
We did NOT get snow, but the temps are pretty chilly again…
Thanks for the idea on the pleated dress.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Wow..you were busy! They look so cuddly in their Valentine coats! The tams are such a great accessory and you have that pattern just the right size and fit. Gosh Thinking about Valentine’s Day already….this year is going to fly by too!

    1. Hi Kathie,
My girls were pretty toasty in those coats…although Nellie’s coat sold, so she’s back to being a nudie on the doll shelf…Samantha is still warm, though!
      Thanks Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Jeanne, you are amazing! I guess that article you posted about how to get into a “sewing mood” inspired you (smile). I love the pink color.

The boots are adorable. Did you make them? I think you and Charlotte should go into a doll winter accessories enterprise; she can make mittens and you can make boots (laugh).

I can’t wait to see what you post tomorrow.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
No, I didn’t make the boots….Hobby Lobby had them last year….I don’t know if they still have them or not.
      I’m glad you’re already looking forward to tomorrow’s post…. :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. What a nice surprise! Samantha and Nellie look so sweet in their new fleecy coats and tams, Jeanne. They will be all set for the next snowfall as well as some “Valentine’s Day Fun.” I love their boots with the pom-poms ties. So cute! Hope you have the opportunity to make some more Valentine outfits. A tea party sounds delightful! Thanks for the sweet surprise today, Jeanne. Have fun planning Samantha’s debut dress. Trusting you will make it “sweet surprise,” too!

    1. Hi Anne,
I’m hoping to get some more Valentine things made too. I picked up a new piece of pink and white fabric today…and it’s so sweet.
      I’m going to decide on Samantha’s dress tonight… :o)
      Thanks so much Anne!
      Blessings, Jeanne

Wow! You are quick. The coats and hats are adorable. I love the boots and wish we had a Hobby Lobby close to home. All we have is small Walmart and Michael’s. Not even a fabric shoppe.
That fabric made sweet coats/hats but would look so cozy as a bathrobe.
    Fantastic job.
    Blessings.

    1. Hi Sandra,
I’d probably have to move if there were no fabric shops or a Hobby Lobby around! Wish you had both!
All this talk of bathrobes is making me want to try one…
      Thanks Sandra,
      Blessings, Jeanne
