A Name and a Necklace…

First things first….

Thank you very much for all your thoughts and prayers and e-cards and emails and sweet texts. They came throughout the early morning hours and all day long. On the way to the hospital, I was reading them to my hubby…and I have to admit, we were both a couple of cry-babies! By the time we arrived, I looked like Rudolph…(yes, my nose turns red when I cry!). My hubby wanted to thank all the many readers who prayed for him today. This is what he asked me to let you know…

The general report from today’s Cystoscopy was good. We could still see the scar from the last biopsy but everything looked good. The standard recommended protocol is still to remove the bladder. This is due to the possibility of microscopic cells that could still be present. Another possible option we are just finding out involves more biopsies, more Chemo or Radiation, more testing, and close monitoring. Thank you for your prayers. We really need a clear word from the Lord as how to proceed because the other Doctor in St. Louis has already scheduled surgery for June 15th.

Now to Elizabeth’s dress… I didn’t get anything else done and have just been with my hubby this afternoon, but I don’t like to do a post without pictures, so I did take a few of the necklace Rebecca made for Elizabeth. It’s pretty sparkly and I think you’ll like it…

If you click on any picture it will enlarge.

Now to the name… I had thought of a few names and asked my hubby and Rebecca for a few from them. Then I asked them to pick their top three.

** Breathtaking in Blue
** Blushing in Blue (George’s)
** Beloved in Blue
Bejeweled in Blue
Beaming in Blue (George’s)
Blissful in Blue (Beat you Linda)

I guess I was stuck on “in blue” because every title had that in it.

As of a few minutes ago, the list has grown to include those six plus a few more:

Blissful in Blue was suggested by Linda, when it wasn’t mentioned in my top three. So far since she mentioned it, it is in the lead…

Shades of Blue
Blue Beauty
Dreamy in Blue
Blue Regency
Blue Persuasion
Vision in Blue
Summer Wedding

I think we might have to give our opinions again… there’s time since I didn’t get anything else done on the dress. I might have to put the top guesses in a bag and draw one out…We’ll see…

That’s going to be it for me today…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Hi Linda Marie,
I didn’t know Blue Persuasion was a Jane Austen reference….hmmmm…interesting….
      Thanks for mentioning it…

Will keep you and George in prayer, Jeanne, as you seek guidance in this decision.

As for the lovely dress, I’m kind of leaning toward Blue Regency….Of course, when I was reading the previous post (just a bit ago), the first thing that popped into my mind was the old song, “Alice Blue Gown”….and then there was “The Blue Skirt Waltz” (…Blue were the skies, and blue were her eyes, just like the blue skirt she wore…) Whatever name you decide, it’s turning out to be quite lovely, and Rebecca’s necklace adds the perfect touch!

    1. Thank you Charlotte,
Now I’ve got more “Blue” names than I can handle! …and you’ve added 2 more ideas!
I may just have to have a drawing for the name… I like them all!
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Jeanne, you and George need time to think and pray for the right thing to be done. It can be hard to fight against what you don’t want, but in the end God will take care of the two of you no matter what is decided. The two of you will always be in my prayers, and you have all of us praying for you too!

Oh, that necklace is beautiful! I wish we could see it in person, since the “sparkly” effects are lost in photography, but it certainly adds to the dress, giving it just the right touch! Elizabeth is going to look lovely once the whole outfit is put together! While I still vote for Blissful in Blue, no matter what name you give it, it will still be a stunner!

    1. Thank you, Linda,
      I appreciate you so much!
I should take a really nice picture of the necklace outside today… maybe I could capture just how truly pretty it is!
I still like Blissful in Blue too!
      Thanks so much,
      blessings, Jeanne

  3. George’s news seem encouraging to me. It’s definitely the right time for some guidance.
The only thing I can think of is that you have a long record of making the right decision on big issues — choosing each other, how to raise your children, what house to buy, how to live the life that would suit you best and where to live it. You have a lot of sense and you’ve had a lot of guidance and you know how to listen for it — you are not likely to choose the wrong thing.

You aren’t bad on smaller things either — just look at Elizabeth. She looks quite pleased by her beads, her ribbons, her lace. I’m still quite fond of Blissful in Blue and I also like Blue Regency — or maybe Regency Blue.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
Thank you for your kind words…this is hard, but lots of others are in hard places too…

I have lots of names to consider and hope I pick the right one. I know it’s just a title, but I’d like to get it right.
      Thanks so much.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. I am glad to hear things went well yesterday. Good luck in making this difficult decision.
The necklace is beautiful (not that I am surprised)! It is a lovely addition to the (yet unnamed) ensemble. As for names, I am fond of Blue Regency or as suggested by Marilyn, Regency Blue. I think either one provides additional description which is good in being noticed and being remembered. All the options are good ones though so I am pretty sure you can’t go wrong.
Hope you have a good day.
    Take care.

    1. Thank you Charlotte,
I never dreamed I’d have so many “blue” names to consider…I have enough new titles to last me quite a while…as long as I make blue dresses!
      Thank you,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Going back to my waterfall reflection from yesterday, I came up with, Waterfall Cascade in Blue. 🙂 Just to add more to the pot. Hee Hee. This is such a great outfit, and the lovely Elizabeth as always, the perfect model.
Glad to hear the report was good and that there are options. Having options is really the key and you two will unlock the right door.

    1. Oh dear, Joy…another possibility…yikes! I’m having “blue” overload!
Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. I think I’ve created a monster!
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Hi Susette,
Have a wonderful trip to WV and give Riya a hug from all of us!
Maybe by the time you get back, rhis blue dress will have a name!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. I know how pretty Rebecca’s necklaces are because I own several and love them!

My daughter Annie and I just said a prayer for your family. God will guide you to make the correct decision, I’m sure.

    1. Thank you, Jane, for the compliments on Rebecca’s necklaces and for the prayers! Both ate appreciated.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Your pictures always highlight the detailed beauty of your designs, Jeanne. The sparkly beads in Rebecca’s necklace are a lovely compliment to the beading on the dress and add an elegant touch to Elizabeth’s outfit.

Bonus: You have many ideas for the title of this listing and plenty to spare for future creations, too. Know you will pick the perfect one to describe Elizabeth’s Regency ensemble. The designer knows best!

Jumping for joy over George’s report and sending prayers and blessings for the journey ahead!

    1. Thank you Anne,
I need to take a close up picture of Rebecca’s necklace…as it’s much prettier in person.
I certainly hope I get the name right…
Thank you for all the prayers you’ve prayed for us…bless you!
      Thank you Anne,
      Blessings, Jeanne
