If I counted right, I see 35 Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls in these pictures. Well, a few are the smaller Siblies, but I counted them in the mix anyway. Isn’t it fun to scrutinize the rows and rows of those sweet little faces?
These belong to Sally and she sent me their names and a little bit of information on them… let’s get started…
You should click on the pictures so they will enlarge! :o)
First: Holiday Maya is in a dress by Betty Atwell; James is in his dapper duds; Avril is in a Maggie/Kate set; Daphne is in Ruby Red Violette’s outfit; and Josephine is in another Maggie/Kate creation!
Second: My revised display of a good many of the RR’s. Top row are all customs as is the doll in the center a step down wearing the floral crown. Left to Right: Erin Green; Alex Berg; Jana /Wixana for the blond and short dark-haired girl as well as the one below her with a floral crown; and three by Shari Hoffer.
Next tier down: Sasha in Maggie/Kate; Hannah in outfit by Katerina on Pinkoi; (I think this is Joy in my orange and black pleated skirt set), Luca in an outfit by a German woman; Alex in Maggie/Kate; Darla; Anaelle; Perihelia.
Bottom tier: Fernanda, Victor and Evangeline in RR; Dara and Rory in Shirley Fomby; Vasilisa in Kukymoda; Luca in outfit by an Australian woman; Rebecca in Threads of Troy; Maya in Robin Barrows; Kayla in Katrina; and Winona and Wyatt in RR with their instruments still in plastic.
This picture shows a bit how I stacked shipper boxes to achieve my tiers so I could see all the dolls better. As Joy said, it won’t be a great idea in earthquake territory. 😟
I see Sweet Victoria and Phanie on the left hand side of this picture…
Wasn’t that fun?
Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many RRs in one place before. What an amazing collection you have, Sally. And you got them all to stand nicely for their photos, and no one was poking anyone else, or making funny faces! 😂 Such well-behaved children!!
You know, when I first saw Daphne, I wasn’t sure I liked her, but as I see her in other people’s collections, sometimes dressed or even wigged differently, I have to confess, she is growing on me. I don’t know if I’d buy one (should one come available) or if I’d order another doll with her face, but she definitely is growing on me!
Thanks for sharing!
Good morning, Charlotte,
How are you and your gang doing this morning?
Thanks for assuming the best that my kids were on their best behavior. We will leave it at that.
Yes, I have grown to love, love Daphne and Josephine. Swap out the wigs and what a difference. My Slumber Party Bella, not in these pics as she is in the MBR, was doomed to go back in her box when I thought, let’s give her another chance and look in the wig box. Sure enough, there was a light brown Monique wig with bangs and the braids swept up on top. Now I just love her! A different wig made the difference so she will not be relegated to the dreaded box!
Have a wonderful day, Charlotte. My kids say hi to yours
Wow, Sally, what a collection! I am at a loss at how you manage to keep track of who is who and what they are wearing, and by who made the outfits! I can’t imagine dressing and undressing all those dolls every once in awhile, and keeping up with all the holidays!
You truly do have a lovely collection, and thank you for showing us all to oooh and aaah over!
Good morning, dear Linda.
So, you see how my dolls are doomed to stand as soldiers and not get to play like your lucky kids. There’s an occasional dog, because I am a dog person (dogs and dolls!!), but nothing, nothing like your fabulous scenes. 😢😢
Most of my dolls stay in their original outfits, though there are a couple dozen that get switched around. I just couldn’t bear seeing those kids in summer duds as nights were getting cold. Believe me, it’s a process changing so that is why most don’t get changed. And you will see that I “cheat;” long sleeve shirts with those little button and button holes get the cuff rolled up once . Yup, a cheater for sure.
Have a glorious day out there in St. Louis!
WOW, what a treat! Each one is special on their own but assembled together they are just stunning. Like Linda I can’t imagine dressing and undressing. I fought with French Rebecca for about 20 minutes yesterday; she won and is still in the buff.
I will return to these photos over and over, they are just delightful! Thanks so much for building those risers and lining them up for all to see. I will bet there was some squirming going on in the ranks : )
Thanks to Jeanne for posting!
Good morning dear Debbie no longer in TN!
Yes, there are so many kids and these are only some. Once Jeanne posted that picture of opening her first RRFF, Sarah, I got started and can’t stop!! As I told Joy, it is abundantly clear that I need to put on the brakes. Dorothy should be arriving in about two weeks or less, George and Charlotte, Julien and Opaline next month, and the anniversary dolls in January. I just hope to order the last Jana doll and Princess Elizabeth when she comes out.
And STOP.
You need to share the picture of your sweet Little Darlings! And I am delighted kids make you smile. I walk through the rooms to visit all of them several times a day.
Have a super day in NC!
Hi Sally, I do love seeing all of the RRFF in one place. Jeanne’s blog was the source of my discovery also but it was Rozen. I only know of George and Charlotte for the newly available dolls. I missed George but could not pass up Charlotte.
I will take those Little Darlings out of the cabinet for a photo and send it to Jeanne. I visit my doll room several times a day. They always give me a boost : )
Thank you, Debbie. I do wish you would share how your Rebecca doll was giving you such a hard time! 😬 Was she being rather naughty? 😣
Rebecca’s feet were facing in opposite directions when I tried to put on her tights. I tried laying her on my lap with legs in the air. The wig would fly off and land on the sofa. I was exhausted! We are taking a break. Winter clothes have many moving parts. 🥺
Just love the outstanding display! As to earthquakes, since the dolls are vinyl, other than a pile up, they would probably emerge unscathed. 🙂 Last quake there were no casualties around here, luckily. 🙂 I love the stacked boxes which make for a delightful arrangement.
It is so nice to have the special outfits identified by the maker on each doll as well as the designer dolls. I have enough trouble remembering the doll’s name let alone who made the outfits around here. Definitely need to work on that. Funny, but I too have an outfit with the book theme like Sally’s, Siblies. Perfect for those literary dolls and their book loving mommy. 🙂
I’ve had so much fun checking out the dolls. Thanks for sharing Jeanne and Sally. 🙂
We’re off this morning to do errands including picking up the special order sewer pipe cap. Sounds fun doesn’t it. 🙂 But, I may get a quick stop at Michael’s. Hope so. 🙂
Hi, Joy.
Sewer pipe?? Does not fall into the realm of fun, for sure. Good luck! That qualifies for an INSISTENCE on stopping at Michael’s, IMHO! 😎
You’re right; while the dolls won’t break in a tumble, the outfits and hair would go amuck and need readjusting and setting up again. That would truly put me into a “mood.” Uffda!
In other pictures I sent Jeanne of dolls in the MBR, two are named “Somebody “ because I can’t remember the names. Giving credit to seamstresses is important to me.
Have fun at Michael’s. Insist!! 😆😉 Go wild! 👍
Wow!! What a treat to see all of your dolls, Sally! It’s wonderful that all of us Sofa Sisters can share our love for our favorite dolls.
You have an impressive collection. I see several I’d love to have. Lucky you! They are certainly unique dolls, all dress so nicely. Love some of those outfits. Wow!
Great idea to use the boxes for tiers, especially with the “little” crowd you have! It’s a good visual.
Thank you, Jeanne and Sally for a great start of our day with your pictures.
Good morning, Paula,
Yes, alas! I got bitten very badly by the RRFF bug. And these are only part of the collection. Mea culpa. But. You are so right; Jeanne allows us all to share this wonderful passion with like minded “sisters”. She’s the best! 🥰
Somewhere on FB I saw someone else use the boxes for towering their dolls and that was an eureka moment for me. Previously, I had these dolls standing precariously on very shifty, uneven different sized boxes and moving one doll could precipitate an avalanche which wasn’t exactly “mood enhancing,” shall we say? This way, while I still have some other strange boxes and arrangements put in there, I am able to see each of them much, much better. All around, it makes me a happier camper.
Hope your day is full of joy And many thanks for your kind comments.
What a heartwarming group! First thing I thought of was, it’s a choir practicing for the school recital! Thank you so much for sharing. Adorable photos that put a big smile on my face and I’m sure a few others.
Good morning, Dorothy!
Always a good day when you can start out with a smile, and thanks for saying that. Makes ME smile.
Hmmm. Choir practice. I like that! Also makes me think that if we have a guest that isn’t on our “favorite list”, I could instruct the dolls to all sing their favorite songs simlultaneously and off key during the night. That would shorten the stay, wouldn’t it? 😁
Have a super day, Dorothy.
Good morning.
Before the day gets away from me as the past few have, I want to pipe in.
Jeanne, your Christmas outfit for Molly truly is perfect. I left my Molly in her original braids with the original red ribbons, so my girl always wears red. This outfit would be perfect. However…all my best wishes for a roaring auction!
Lara, Gilead was a perfect delight with her shades and kitty shirts and black kitty. Nellie is one of my favorite AGs. Thanks so much.
Jeanne thank you for posting these pics. They are the best of the ones I sent.
HOWEVER, I am remiss on identification of dolls on the second tier down from the top. There is Sasha, Hannah, but then, gosh! I didn’t mention Liberty (aka Libby) who is standing next to Hannah in her latest Jeanne-Marie magnificence!
These pictures are of the dolls in the guest bedroom. They really freak out some of our guests which works for me. I prefer short stays. The other pictures are of dolls in the MBR where they are more smushed in and the lighting isn’t the greatest.
Everyone have a super day; it is fun when Jeanne so graciously shares our pics. 🙌😁🥰
Dear Sally, what a wonderful doll family you have! I was delighted to see Victoria. She is the doll who “got away” for me. I didn’t know about her sale in time and when I found out, poof, she was gone.
I love what you said about guests and short stays. I agree. I don’t have an extra bed so no one stays here.
I do enjoy going to doll conventions and staying with friends in the host hotels. It’s kind of like having a grown up pajama party. And I don’t have to clean the house before and after or feed people, which we all know I don’t do (laugh). Those are the best type of guest visits (smile).
Amen, dear Dorothy. You always make me smile and I am so grateful; you have a charming sense of humor.
I hope the sun is shining in PA; I know it is in your home! 🥰
As for Miss Victoria, she does pop up every now and again. 🤞
Dear Jeanne, wow, I cannot believe we are almost at the end of October. Can there really only be two more months left in the year?
I don’t make New Years Resolutions but I do make New Years wishes. So I wish that all of the Sofa Sisters and their families (human and doll) be healthy and happy and share much humor in 2023. I know it’s a bit soon but I don’t want to wait. We definitely need more laughter in the world right now.
As for humor, Joy will just have to double her doll allowance so she will have more spy stories to share. The former Pennsylvania Sisters will have to come back for a visit, maybe to Hershey Park! The sewers and cooks and crafters will have to share their amusing stories with us. I will even tell about the last time I tried to sew something. It was sometime in the 1980s.
In these challenging times, I am so ready for some mega-laughter. I will have to pull out my set of Rocky and Bullwinkle CDs. They always make me laugh.
Simply wonderful New Year’s wishes! May they all come true.
I would love to hear your story about your 1980’s sewing adventure. 🙂
Dear Joy, I can’t wait to share it. Maybe Jeanne will have a day where we can each tell a funny story. I also have a microwave story.
Dear Sally, Thank you for your kind comments on my photos the other day.
Wow, is all I can say. What a beautiful and incredible collection of the Rubies you have. You certainly got bitten and bitten hard. LOL Your custom one are charming as are all the unique outfits.
Everyone looks lovely and you must get such joy out of seeing their smiling faces each day. I certainly enjoy the one I have. If I were in your guest bedroom I certainly wouldn’t freak out. I’d be asking to touch and dress a few Thank you so much for sharing them
Well, dear Laura, YOU as a guest would be allowed to do all of that, of course! I am so glad that we all get such pleasure and smiles when we get to look at and/or play with our kids. This is such a special group of wonderful women, and even if some of us don’t sew, we love watching the process and reaping the rewards of being able to buy lovely things from women who do sew.
I hope it’s a grand day in Ohio, Laura, and thanks so much. 🥰
