2024 Doll Dresses ~ Year in Review!

Hi everyone,
I hope you are snug as a bug in a rug! We finally got our power back on this evening. It was off almost 24 hours… and we had a cool night in the house… 57 degrees when we got up this morning. Today we saw what all happened through the night as tree limbs fell from the ice being so heavy on them and it’s not pretty! My hubby got our generator out this afternoon and we managed to have one outlet in the kitchen, the furnace was on and the frig running. It was like camping out in the kitchen, propane cook stove, one pan meals, paper plates, etc. I’ll show some pictures tomorrow along with this post running a second day so everyone gets a chance to vote.

Okay, so let’s get on with this Doll Dress Review for 2024! See if you recognize any of your favorites.

Noel, my 10″ Boneka doll was the first one up for the 2024 doll dress. This is “Old Fashioned Valentine” and it was a sweet set in browns and pinks… one of my favorite combinations.

The second dress of the year went to Noel again… I must have been on a kick for the 10″ dolls. I think I was perfecting my boots, was the reason I used her again… This next set was called “Vision of a Valentine” but I used green and pinks this time.

Lian, my 13″ Dianna Effner Little Darling is here modeling “Lovely Little Lassie!”

Now it’s American Girl, Molly’s turn to show you her dress… “Easter Charm.”

6″ Mini Bailey, a My Meadows doll, is modeling “Bunny in my Pocket” made from a fun green and yellow sunflower combination!

UP next is “Kate” (my stand in for Kit) in “Springtime Sweetness!” There were 2 different collars with this dress set!

Here is Violette modeling her 1920’s dress called “Bee’s Knees!” but Susette won this set and I have to show you her Ruby Red Fashion Friends modeling it! She truly looks like a 1920’s gal!

Now here is Rosalyn, Susette’s sweet 20’s girl..

I wanted a My Meadow, Moppet doll (15″) but couldn’t get one when the preorder was open, so I opted to get a Disney Animator doll as they had almost the exact same “body” measurements as the Moppets. Here is Tinkerbell modeling “Blue for Two” as I was hoping this would fit the two different dolls. The dress fit, but not the shoes or hat…

It’s Noel’s turn again, this time in something a bit more casual… “Denim and Doggie Fun!” It even included a doggie carrier and the tiniest denim jacket I’d ever made.

Molly is up next in “4th of July Picnic!

Freida, another of my Ruby Red Fashion Friends is showing you “Denim and Roses!” It showcased my first pair of denim sandals.

This next one was a fairly easy one… Emmie, my 13″ Dianna Effner, Little Darling was modeling “Cool Culottes!”

It was a thrill for me to finally have a My Meadow, Mae, added to my collection of dolls who model things for me. She is a sweetie and I have enjoyed sewing for her… This was her debut dress… a pretty little turquoise dress set I called “Summer Delight!”

Next up was Rebecca in “Summer Lace” and did she ever look pretty in this Civil War dress!

It was Mae’s turn again in this sweet black and white checked dress set… she even got her own stuffed Scottie dog. I called this “Sassy Scottie!”

Now it’s Stella’s turn to bring us into Fall in a bright and colorful jumper set I called “Harvest Delight!”

Oh my goodness, it’s Mae’s turn again. Sorry folks, but she really was LONG OVERDUE in my group of dolls and I guess I was making up for lost time. This set was called “Corduroy Charm” and I used a pattern by Marsha Trent for these adorable overalls.

Now it’s tiny little 8″ Ten Ping’s turn, showing off in “October Charm!”

I guess I was on a roll with Ten Ping too, as it’s now her turn again… This time in “Sweet Pleats!”

We’re almost out of dresses… I hope you have found your favorites so far…

Next up is Sara, a Ruby Red Fashion Friend doll, showing the last of the Fall dresses this year. This one is called “Fall’s Final Fling!”

Another dress set for Mae… This one was called “Boysenberry Bliss!”

Here is Rebecca in a final Civil War dress for the year. It was called “Christmas is Coming!”

And the last dress of the year was actually a New Year’s Eve dress called “New Year’s Sparkle!” It was modeled by my new Ruby Red Fashion Friend doll, Lavender.

So we are all out of dresses! I know it might be hard, but list your top 3 dresses, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place choices in the comments below or you can email me by hitting the “Contact Me” tab up at the top of the header.

I think I might let this run for 2 days, just so everyone gets a chance to vote…

Then we’ll see which doll wins the coveted honor of wearing the Doll Dress of the Year 2024!

I will see you tomorrow, with some pictures of what it looks like around here.
Then I’ll post the winner of the doll dresses Thursday!
See you then,
Blessings, Jeanne

So happy that Jeanne and George have their power back on once again. And I’ll bet when the generator went on and the heat as well, that there were cheers. Although, I’m not happy about the propane camping stove used indoors. Maybe it was actually used outside on the porch? Jeanne, do you have a carbon monoxide detectors inside the house? Hope so.
Very sorry about the storm damage outside. Sure hope George’s chainsaw is sharp as it will be needed.
