I did it! I did it! I beat the rain, but only by minutes…
When I got up this morning and saw the cloudy skies, I knew the rain was coming, but I was determined to get at least a few pictures of Mae outside in her new Boysenberry colored outfit. It’s a good thing I acted as quickly as I did, because as soon as we got inside it came down and didn’t stop for quite a while. Everything was all wet by then and I couldn’t have taken her outside with all the dampness.
She was thrilled with all the flowers…(actually not so many… just the Petunias and the Morning Glories (but the purple ones had already closed up.) We still had a nice time and I think I captured some cute shots. I’ll show you the ones I didn’t pick for the auction and then you can go see the listing (which I managed to get listed a few minutes ago) with all the rest of the better shots. Some new shots were taken inside too…
I hope you’ll take a peek on Ebay to see Mae’s listing… you can click the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
I have got to get on the stick around here… Rebecca and Karn are coming here Monday or Tuesday… and we are going to do Christmas! YIKES and YAY! Then my sister, Cindy might be coming down for Thanksgiving… (Yay) and staying a few days afterwards to go to a Memorial Service for my cousin’s husband. I’m going to try and stay calm and not get stressed, but just seeing what I wrote makes me want to get busy in so many places… I’ll do the best I can… :o)
Okay, I’m done… have a wonderful Thursday and I’ll see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Congrats on getting Mae’s outfit listed! It’s so beautiful. I keep thinking I need one of these dolls, but they really are a bit pricey and I already have so many others I enjoy….Well, never say never, right?!!
Thanks for everyone’s comments yesterday; I did reply to them. I woke up feeling Much better this morning, and although I’m still eating rather “light”, and trying to get a little extra rest still, it was a more normal day for me. And I’m planning to go to IHOP as usual tomorrow night, to meet my friends for supper and trivia.
Jeanne, you definitely have a busy week or two ahead of you! Fun…but busy!! I took some pictures of my most recent dolls (granted, I’ve had them for a while, but just hadn’t photographed them yet) tonight that I can send you, if you wish. No fancy poses, but they are modeling their outfits they came in, plus they modeled some RRFF outfits I bought a while back, too. And I think you still have those Halloween pictures.
I am so glad you know you are doing better Charlotte.
What a cute outfit and a doll modeling your latest outfit just makes me smile! She is perfectly captured in the pictures both outside and in, Jeanne!
Yes, you certainly were lucky to beat the rain, and looking at the listing, each picture is cuter than the other! Everything just “clicks” with this outfit!
You certainly ARE going to be busy next week! But a “fun” busy!
Dear Jeanne, I am so happy for you that the children are coming to have Christmas with you. Reuben will be excited to see them.
I hope you get to see Cindy also. Let her know that my club is still talking about our road trip and all of the dolls they saw and bought. I purchased a nutcracker lady Christmas shopper for a friend who collects lady nutcrackers. She loved it!
Mae looks so sweet in all of her poses.
Of all the photos, I like the one in the listing where Mae, is standing in front of that large planter of pink petunias. Her little head is tilted up and the light catches her face perfectly. Love it. 🙂
Wow, lots of holiday celebrating for you this month. Please don’t knock yourself out too much so you still have some energy to enoy your company. 🙂 Perhaps, leave the tree decorating to Rebecca and Karn, since they are not going to be arriving during the actual holiday time. Seems to me that they should be trading off holidays. One year you get them at Christmas or Thanksgiving, and the next year they can stay home with Karn’s family. Only fair I think. 🙂 Just my take.
More rain last night, but the sun is peeking over the mountain top now. However, looks like we may get frost the next few days. A little unusual for this time of year. Burr.
I just looked at the listing. The photos you presented are charming and perfect.
This outfit is so adorable…. and those shoes are going to be prize!! Seriously!!
I am glad you got in some terrific shots outside, I agree, it looks exceptional
Happy Thursday everyone.
I was hoping you would be able to take some outdoor shots before the rains came. They are all wonderful as is Mae’s new outfit. Another winner for you.
Looks like you will have a wonderful end of November with so much family coming. I was a little stressed when my company was coming a couple weeks ago but when I found out they would be staying at a local motel I became less stressed. I don’t feel pressured at all when it’s family coming but I did not know either of them and wanted to make a good first impression. I thought it would wear me out cleaning house before they came but actually it was not too bad at all. I cleaned a room or two a day right before they came. After the rain we’ve had and all the guys tracking in dirt and leaves it appears it’s time again to do the deed but now I know I was making mountains out of molehills and have more stamina than I thought.
Julia Hélène arrived this morning on a beautiful spring day (well that’s what fall feels like here). She is as lovely as I thought she would be and Magalie does such an amazing job on the outfits that come with her dolls.
I would love to see a pic of Julia Helene. I’m sure she is adorable. Love Magalie’s work. 🙂
Dear Barbara, I echo Joy. I would love to see a photo also.
Jeanne, have a lovely time with your company and send photos of your fun!
I love the photos with the morning glories, just perfect! As before I said, this outfit will fly!!
