Hi everyone,
I hope no one was waiting at the finish line for that Sally Stanley Smocking Pleater to end last night. I was so messed up on my listing. I forgot to change it to 8:10 “PM”… instead of 8:10 “AM”… which is when it ends.. at 8:10 “am” “this” Friday morning. It ends or has already ended depending on when you read this post.
Hey, Linda… I know you’ll be up because you are my earliest riser… so if you need a pleater… you’ll be up and alert to watch the auction. (just kidding!)
Then I thought yesterday was Friday, so when I wrote yesterday’s post, I said, I’ll see you Monday… (when I realized it was actually Thursday, I changed it!)
I have been all mixed up on my dates… but I think I have it straight now… Today is Friday, and my pleater ends this morning… 8:10 Central time to be exact.
Now onto something else. I was looking for something else to sell and I did find some Riley Blake Flora and Fawn fabrics in my selling stuff. I just bundled this together and listed it as a Buy It Now. I always wanted to find time to make a baby quilt from it. The colors are just outstanding, and the print is cute as a button!
You can see that listing HERE.
I also found a bunch of purse and tote patterns that came in a lot of fabric I bought one time… I have gone through them and taken pictures of the fronts and backs and thought I’d offer them on here first before listing them on Ebay…They are all brand new and the patterns are all uncut. If you see something you like… they are $6.00 each with FREE shipping. Just let me know the name of the one you want. Totes and purses are generally a good beginner project!
Here are the backs if you want to match them up…
Well, now I can say I’ll see you Monday… or maybe sooner if you see something you like. A few auctions end over the weekend, so watch for them if you see anything you like.
Thanks everyone,
Have a wonderful weekend…
Blessings, Jeanne
Ha, ha, Jeanne! I have four more hours to decide if I want to get that pleater! Thank you, but I have no idea what I would do with it, and thank you for considering me anyway! 😉
I just decded to see if there was a blog this morning, because I noticed that you said “See you Monday” yesterday. I just thought you were going to be taking some time off, but still it seemed a bit strange, since you never had mentioned it before. Well, at least we now know that you are actually human!
Gosh, all those purses and bags! I’m the kind of person who has very few purses, since I hate taking things out of one purse and putting everythng in another, just for the sake of matching my outfit, so I try to get a few purses that go well with most thngs I wear. There are exceptions, of course, but with my list of social occasions getting smaller by the moment, not very many!
I do like that Towne Purse, especially with the fabrics it is shown in, but 10 pockets? That would be something to find anything in! The Sunday Satchels remind me of Vera Bradley bags, so popular now, but pretty pricey. It certainly would pay to make one of your own. There seems to be a bag for everyone in your collection of patterns, and I think anyone could find a pattern to fit their needs with all of the choices you have!
Well, it looks like you have three bids on that pleater, so good for you! Maybe it’ll go up a bit more before it ends.
The fabric is just darling, and I would be SEW tempted if I didn’t already have more than I could sew in three lifetimes!! (And…shh!!!…I just ordered more fabric tonight! But it’s a 100% cotton pointelle knit, and really lovely, I just couldn’t resist. From Sewing Studio, if any of you loves nice knit fabrics. I got the dark blue melange [sort of heathered], and plan to make a long-sleeved top for winter, as I wear a lot of darker blues in the winter.)
I love making bags, and have MANY patterns!! I have made quite a few bags in recent years. And, unlike Linda, I actually LIKE having a lot of pockets in my purses/bags! Currently I am using one I made, called A Cute Bag from Wonder Woman Quilts, which has a total of 7 pockets plus the main compartment. I like knowing exactly where each thing is. One pocket is for my credit card wallet, another for pen, pencil, comb, etc., and so on.
Now, some good news: Ron was actually up in his wheelchair and sitting outside for a while today!! That was before I went to see him, but he was still up for a bit after I got there, and then Charles put him to bed. He doesn’t remember a lot about his hospitalization, and was asking today why he was in the hospital and how he got there, etc.
Oh, Charlotte, keep the good news coming about Ron. Prayers for more good news every day!
Great news about Ron. 🙂
Oh, Jeanne, seeing all those purse patterns is like my mind keeping me up for 2 hours last night. I lie awake trying to figure out how to get so many patterns, fabric, doll clothes, and dolls done away with. I know I can never sew all my fabric, and the dolls and clothes that are in boxes should be out where others can enjoy them. I just don’t have time to deal with it all until after my busy summer is over. I am tempted to just get big bags of the fabric and head to Good Will…..but when I look at it, I can’t.
Have a great weekend!!
I feel your pain, Sissy!! I have a hard time parting with all my “good” fabric, too!!
Very groggy this morning. The illegal fireworks, apparently all over town/city last night had me on edge. Several fires too, started by those “illegal” works. Seems some just don’t have any smarts left and think they can set them off in school yards and parks. Way too overwhelming for the fire or police departments to handle so many calls. Probably at least a thousand responses or more on Nextdoor as well. When I finally got to sleep after 2:00, I woke up in a panic as I smelled smoke. Windows were open because of the heatwave we’ve been having. Smoke coming inside so had to close all of the windows. Turns out that was a one acre fire, started by fireworks several miles away. Around here, everyone panics when they smell smoke. Can’t be helped. Anyway, hope this is over and that they can catch the distributors. It was awful.
Love the fabric Jeanne has listed and what a great bunch of patterns. I’m sure they will sell quickly.
Hope everyone else had a comfortable 4th. 🙂
Glad it wasn’t near by, Joy. CA is really a fire hazard! I remember my son and his family in Anselmo when there were fires in the summer and they had to close all the windows….no AC. That was part of the reason they moved to Long Island, and they last summer there was smoke from Canada fires!
Sorry you had such a bad night.
Thanks Sissy. This fire thing is getting old.
That’s wonderful news on Ron, Charlotte!
Thank you for the kind comments on Marsaili, Barbara!
Those various bags are cute. The Sail Rigger’s and Florence look a little like some purse we had in the 70’s. Of course my favorite was The Bermuda bag with it’s detachable covers. Still have mine buried somewhere in the depths of the cedar chest. I used to have a bunch of purses as well to match outfits as a teen and younger adult. Now I use navy or black in the fall/winter and the navy, light blue or a wicker one for the spring/summer.
We had a lovely rainstorm yesterday afternoon that was very much needed. Didn’t do the concert or fireworks last night as for the past few years. We still could see just a few of the highest ones and certainly could hear them. A movie and kitties were more fun.
I hope your patterns find good new homes.
the fabric is adorable.
I hope you are enjoying nice weather. Here in Northern Virginia, it is toasty and getting a bit humid too.
