Before I talk about the dolls, I have a question for everyone…
We are in need of a new printer… We have an Epson XP-440 and it has been “okay” but now they have stopped carrying the individual ink cartridges at Walmart/any place actually (the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black only come in a combo pack) My printer WON’T print anything when even ONE of the printer cartridges says it’s low… so I’m sitting here with a printer, that won’t work because I don’t have a refill for the blue cartridge in it. I did find someone on Ebay selling the individual ink cartridges, and at a good price, but after I had ordered it and waited 6 days, the seller got back with me and said there was a problem and he would have to refund my money… he didn’t have any. So my hubby said, “no more!”
I told him a while back a few ladies were talking about printers and said they liked what they had gotten. I think it was Barbara, but I don’t remember who chimed in about theirs. So I’m asking for anyone who has a printer, and likes it, to share what you have…
Okay enough on printers and ink cartridges…
Like my title says, I got 3 dolls listed on Ebay… You saw Isabelle and Lea, but I have someone new on there too. I believe she is Gabriela, but there are a few hiccups. She has a body tag that says 2012 and Gabriela wasn’t Girl of the Year until 2017… that is a stumper to me. But all the other dolls I’ve looked at and compared them to this doll, don’t seem to fit.
The #67, was the closest to my doll, but the hair is parted on the wrong side. I don’t think their facial expression is the same either. It could just be that I’ve looked at too many dolls and their eyebrows and the color of their lips and if they have earrings. This doll does… but I couldn’t find out if Gabriela came with earrings initially or not.
I just decided to list her “as” Gabriela and be at peace with it. I see dolls all the time on Ebay that are listed as the wrong doll. I’ll show you a before and after picture of the dolls and then give you the link to them. I’ll also put the pictures at the right side bar so you can click on their picture and be taken to the listing on Ebay…
This was Isabelle before…(I just remembered you already saw this)
This is Isabelle after a makeover…
Lea was actually in pretty good condition, so I don’t really have a before picture of her… but here’s a picture anyway.
This is Lea looking very pretty…
Gabriela was a mess…
After a pretty big makeover… from hair styling to a “bath!”
It’s really too bad she has a boo boo on her eye… Maybe it won’t matter to someone.
Here are the links to the dolls on Ebay…
American Girl Gabriela McBride (I think)
I will keep working on dolls and other such dolly things…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
The dolls are all lovely, Jenanne, and I wish you well with your auctions!
Jeanne, we have a HewlettPackard printer, and I am not sure how it works as far as getting cartridges, but Michael gets them mostly at Best Buy, and sometimes at Walmart. It has a good rating, but out of that I don’t know much!! It prints!
Those three dolls are going to make someone very happy to have! As usual, everything you sell is perfectly described and pictured so there are no surprises when they come. You do wonders with their hair!
Hello. You can get the ink cartriges from Amazon. I bought some that weren’t Epson and they are working perfect.
I could be wrong, but the third doll reminds me of Just Like You 47. https://americangirl.fandom.com/wiki/Visual_Chart_of_Truly_Me_Dolls_(1995-2022)
Your dolls are beautiful 🙂
Do you mean #46, Karen? Because she really does look just like that one! Hair color and everything!
I was glad to see all those faces again; I have #4, who was the first Asian girl AG did, and she is really beautiful!! Because they saw mine, 2 or 3 of my friends also got her!!
Jeanne, we have had our Hewlett-Packard for a LONG time and we like it. We have bought the ink from Walmart and also order it free delivery from Staples or Amazon.
All of the dolls are very sweet. I’m sure that they will sell quickly.
Barbara was explaining her Epson printer to us, and we ended up getting an Epson ET 3850 at Costco. We haven’t had to replace anything yet and we’ve had it some time. It does take getting used to though as it isn’t like the others we have had. Ours prints through Wifi, so even though my computer is in another room, it goes through just fine. Only thing, the printer has to be on which means a trip to the room where the printer is located to turn it on. We aren’t tech savvy around here much. Costco or Best Buy have great people who can explain everything to you. Costco also has online printers that aren’t available in stores.
We have a Canon. It is okay. it has huge ink tanks so we have not filled ink in over two years. G7020.
It has a scanner, pdf and top or bottom print.
We like it
Oh, forgot to say congratulations
it looks like your Gabriella doll sold in a jif! Off to a happy home
The other two dolls are cheap, do you have bidding on all of the dolls? and just have a final limit marked for each? I forgot how ebay works honestly.
All three dolls are gems.
I’m praying for your hand to be healed!
Yes, Jeanne, I was the one who was going on about my wonderful printer. It is an Epson ET-3710 eco-tank. You buy the ink and fill the tanks yourself (very easy) and the ink bottles have a great price. Since so much today such as patterns requires a download and print, this is the best printer for this. I rarely have to think about ink anymore unless it tells me I need to refill the tanks which is rare. I’ve had the printer over two years now and only had to refill once and I do a whole lot of printing. My hubby bought one and loved it and bought mine for me for Christmas a few years ago. He doesn’t do much printing but he still thought it was the way to go to save money on ink. We’ve sure done that. I had an HP photo printer before and replacing ink cartridges was breaking the bank. I could get them at Wal-Mart but sometimes one of the colors wasn’t available. I found the refills for my Epson at Wal-Mart and the last time I look they were totally available, but they can be ordered online if you don’t have a place nearby to buy them. It’s not a “photo printer” per se, but I’ve always been pleased with the quality no matter what I was printing.
Beautiful days here with temps in the low 70s and low humidity. Probably won’t last long but we’re enjoying it while we can.
Dear Jeanne, I always get an HP printer.
Good luck with the dolls. I am sure that they will sell quickly.
Well, we have been having April showers here. I don’t mind though because rain means there is no snow!
