Surprise! Surprise! See details below!

Hi everyone and thank you SO much for all your sweet compliments on the American Girl doll gloves I made. I think I’ve been “slightly” obsessed with the gloves… oh, not in making more, (at least right now) but just thinking of them and all the possibilities… So, what better way for a glove kick off, than a GLOVES GIVEAWAY!

Here are the ones I have so far…

This is how they look on an Ameican Girl doll…

To be entered for the chance to win a pair of these, just leave a comment below or hit the Contact Me tab and send me an email. The winner will be able to pick whichever pair they want…

BUT…your comment has to say which doll you dressed last. Maybe even teฤบl us what the outfit looks like.

The Giveaway is open until midnight, Tuesday, March 12th, Central Time Zone.

Thanks everyone!!
See you tomorrow
Blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, this will be a fun give-away for sure! Who wouldn’t want a pair of these darling lace gloves, and at a time when we are dressing up our dolls for Easter? Perfect timing!

OK, so you asked for us to tell us what the last doll we dressed is wearing. This is going to be funny, because at this point in time, my dolls are playing, doing the laundry and shopping, plus they have been dressed like that for a couple of weeks, since I haven’t yet gotten together what each will be wearing for Easter. BUT, the other day, Sunday to be exact, I dressed Kaya in her blue Dance Dress of Today, with pretty beads and fringe! No, I don’t think she will be wearing a pair of white lace gloves!! However, she has plenty of “friends” who can use a pair!

Oh, yay, a giveaway! It’s been quite a while since the last one!!

Let’s see, which doll did I dress last??? I think actually it was my bear, Linsey McKinzie, a Boyd’s bear, who went with me to Expo (she stayed in my bedroom); she came with just a bow, some 25 years ago, and of course I never liked “dressed” bears, which is why I ordered the one with just a bow!! But I took her into the doll shop where I was working at the time, and we discovered she fit into Bitty Baby clothes. Well, she ended up being a clotheshorse (er, bear), as she has outfits for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, as well as a school dress, a flowered flannel winter dress, and a summer play outfit!

Otherwise, it was probably Molly and AbbyRose, who got dressed for Christmas and are Still waiting to get changed into something different!!

I would love to see a picture of Linsey McKinzie all kitted out. Such a cute story.

Jeanne, you are so kind to give away all that work on those gloves. I would love to try a pair on my Meadow dolls. I last dressed my Meadow 18″ Bailey after selling her Easter outfit. She is dressed in one of Tonner’s outfits for Big Anne Estelle. It is a good thing I still have some of these outfits because all the ones I make for her fly away, you know what I mean, LOL!

  4. I love the gloves, and your outfits are always inspirational! The latest doll I dressed is Susanna, a Journey Girl modeled to resemble Susanna Wesley, mother of Charles and John Wesley. She is wearing En Forreau Gown by Thimbles and Acorns. I just got the pattern to make her some underthings so her dress looks a better shape. Thanks!

  5. How exciting! I finished an outfit for Grace Thomas yesterday. It is a romper, but before that I made two Easter dresses. So, a pair of gloves would be awesome!

  6. Glad you added the gloves. I use Crabapples’ “Calling Card Essentials” pattern when I make gloves. It has the distinct fingers like the pattern you used. I will add the extra stitching (points) along the back of the hand like Ann’s pattern. That really adds a great detail.

The last doll I dressed was Evette. She’s now wearing a dress made from a pattern which is in the testing stage. I hope it will be released soon so I can show it off. It’s a dress I imagine Samantha would wear. Lots of heirloom details. It has long sleeves, so unfortunately, if I win the gloves, they won’t work with this outfit.

Thanks for offering a pair of gloves for this contest. It’s a great promotion for Ann’s pattern, and your outfits.

    Happy sewing, Sewbig!

One of the last dolls I dressed was Lucia’s baby doll. She is wearing a pink shirt with a pink skirt. Thank you for the Giveaway ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, this is quite the surprise. So nice of you to have a giveaway. I haven’t dressed one of my 16 American girls lately. Yes, 16. I know, crazy. But, my Nellie is sitting here awaiting something to wear as she doesn’t have her meet dress. Poor thing. I was going to try to remove stains from a dress I had found, but haven’t gotten to it. Definitely need to do that, so we’ll consider her a doll dressed in progress. And she would love the gloves. ๐Ÿ™‚
As for Ruby Red girls, I think Astrid, without tattoos, was my last to dress. Now, gloves for that size would really be a challenge. If i were to make some, they would be oven mitts for sure and look like it too.
Well, we had more rain last night. Poor daffodils. I’ll be out shaking them to try to remove the excess weight this morning. That is after breakfast. Running late once again with the time change. So hard to get used to.
Thanks so much for the giveaway, Jeanne. Can’t wait to see which dolly receives them.

What a nice thought! I think everyone has seen the last doll I dressed: Samantha in the purple skaterโ€™s outfit with the medal, trophy and bouquet. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ’ Sheโ€™d love to have lace gloves to wear with her light blue Easter dress. Good luck everyone.

  10. You did a beautiful job on these sweet gloves. Who did I dress last? Hmmm. Well, I undressed Marie Grace to leave her in her white shift. Then I took Rebeccaโ€™s purple outfit off and put on her combination undies. Right now, everyone is in their โ€œwhitesโ€ for bed – except Caroline because Felicity is wearing her sleep shift until I can find her own.

If you asked the question of which doll I dressed last tomorrow I would have to say my LD Amelia Dawn because her Easter outfit will be completed today and she will start wearing it immediately. But since you asked today I will have to say it’s my L’il Dreamer Jovi in her new sweet pink striped Easter dress with a floral embroidery design. She looks so lovely. I re-wigged her with a wig with long hair instead of the more formal hairdo she came in. She is wearing a wreath of pink and white roses as a hair adornment. She is so adorable.

No need to put my name in the hat for the gloves. There are many others whose primary interest is their 18″ AG girls and I don’t want to water down their chance of winning.

Barbara – I would love to see your Jovi rewigged and redressed. I also have her, and agree that she is adorable! I picked her up last night to move her, and again noticed how soft her hair is! I just love her. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Barbara in SE Texas

I loved the wig Jovi came in and she looked so sweet in it, but I had a terrible time keeping it on her head. Or else she thought it was too heavy and kept lopping it off. Anyway, I decided she needed something more casual but I wanted to keep her original color because it went with her coloring.

    2. Joy in northern CA

So, what color hair is Jovi sporting now? Did you order direct from the MO group? I would love to see your girl’s new look and especially her dress. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Barbara in SE Texas

Jovi is sporting her original color of dark brown. I got the wig from the Effner site where we bought the jeans and t-shirts. I also bought her a pair of ballet shoes. After seeing how amazing and real looking the ones that came with Nina were, well Jovi just had to have a pair too. I will definitely be taking some Easter pictures so everyone can see Jovi and her friends in their new Easter/spring wearing attire.

  12. Marilyn in Colorado

I am getting ready to switch to Easter outfits, but Isabel (I call her Nora) is still wearing her Hanukkah shirt (BellasDivas on Etsy makes custom doll tee shirts), which has a menorah surrounded by blue Scandinavian style flowers on a black background. She’s wearing it with worn blue jeans, Julie’s roller skates, and her skate club purse, and she looks impossibly cute.

The Easter dresses are Samantha era, so any of them will be lovely with the gloves. Maybe “would be lovely” would be better wording.

  13. Oh I love the gloves SO much! The last doll I dressed was actually last night! It is Rebecca from American Girl! I dressed her in a red and white Victorian dress with a white pinafore which needs a pair of lace gloves for sure!

  14. How kind to have a giveaway and another of my girls would love a pair of those sweet gloves. You have certainly mastered making them in no time flat.
The last doll I dressed was Felicity who is wearing Elizabeth’s Riding habit. My Evangeline (fka Samantha) is hoping to get into her birthday dress and rosebud circlet in time for Easter. It would certainly look elegant with a pair of gloves.
Thank you for the giveaway and looking forward to seeing the lucky doll who wins them.

  15. Theresa in Indiana

I have become obsessed with the Boneka regency dresses for Little Darlings. I bought one, then another, then another, and I have another one coming soon. Oh, and I already had one, so that makes five. The last doll I dressed, in the newest Boneka dress, was my Little Darling, Marcie. The dress is mint green with a pink sash, pink smocking, and four rows of pin tucks at the bottom. Super cute!

Don’t put me in the drawing, Jeanne, I have many many dolls, but no AGs. If I won, I’d have to buy a doll to wear the gloves… much like one of your recent outfit buyers… ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Lisa in No. CA

Your outfits are inspiring, and I appreciate your creativity and the information you share, thank you! The gloves may be a lot of work, but they turned out beautifully.

The most recent doll I dressed is a well-loved Kit – she’s wearing the Pixie Faire Ginza Coat and a beret and gaiters I made from the American Girl Patterns. All she needs now is a pair of your beautiful gloves!!
