I know you all have been patiently waiting for some kind of answer from me regarding the comments section of my blog, and some are still trying to even get INTO the blog to make a comment!!! :o( I did get a LONG email from Sarah tonight about 11:00, but it was too complicated for me to understand the first time I read it… she was asking me all these questions about when did I last update this and that, and why was this changed, and lots more questions. I didn’t even understand what she was asking me, so I’ll have to get back with her…
So for today, if you can’t comment, you’ll just have look at it “from afar” and I’ll keep working on things in the meantime. So sorry! This is the problem when you are “technologically challenged!” UGH!
I was busy today working on some leather shoes for Freida. I had started these cute Mary Janes and decided it was time to finish them. AND I even put one of my “magnetic” fasteners on them! YAY!
Here is a 4 second video of how the closure magically and magnetically works!
There was some kind of imperfection in my leather and it just so happened to be in the layers of the shoe sole right in the very front of the left shoe! There is nothing I can do about it now because they are all glued in layers.
After I finished the shoes, I moved onto the purse. I didn’t want to make the same purse I always do, so I created a new pattern, and it’s pretty cute. I have it all finished except for the magnetic closure on the front flap and I still have to attach the purse strap… haven’t figured it out just yet… but I’ll get it.
I used a jar lid and wet molded the leather so it stood out from the back piece.

What a nice bag and shoes to complete Frieda’s dress and jacket set! That was a nifty way to shape her purse–I would never have thought to use a jar lid!! Clever Jeanne!!
Well, it looks like my two replies finally showed up. I think the reason they were late is because last night I absolutely Could Not sign in with my email, so I signed in with Facebook, and since that was a “new” log-in, I suppose the system had to send it for approval before it was published. We’ll see what happens tonight. I’ll try with my email address first, per usual, and if not that, then FB again. Here goes!!

Yay, Charlotte got in! Well I am too, and I love the colors of the leather with the salmon and pale denim. so much like fall! I think the purse is darling, and works well with the shoes and outfit as a whole.

Too bad about the shoe after all of your hard work, but it isn’t that noticeable. Maybe Frieda needs a big bow for her hair with dots in another contrasting color to finish her look? And that little bracelet too.
Another hot one for us today, but cool weather is coming for a few days before it heats up yet again.
Finally, tracking from RRFF. Looks like a package on Monday. It isn’t exactly clear quite yet if it will be FedEx or USPS. If it is the USPS, I’m in trouble because of the timing. We’ll see how it goes.

Thanks for your encouragement. However, this time the delivery from FedEx says clearly direct signature required and if not there, they won’t leave the package. So, we’ll probably get a knock unless I sit out in front all afternoon in the rain waiting. Ugh I think other person would be very curious about that as well.

Dear Jeanne, yeaaa, things do seem to be better! I do still have the W in a circle, the f, and the envelope. I feel that my typing is the way it was so that’s good. I feel like I can control the keyboard again. The reply box displays an arrow when I click on it so that’s good too!
