Happy Saturday to you!!

Hi everyone,
I am going to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with a friend today… just wanted to say hello…
What are you doing today?
I am still chatting with Sarah working on getting the issues worked out on my blog…
It seems the comments box below my posts is slightly different but if you hit the “envelope” icon, your comments should go through.
Any other problems, please email me or comment if you can…
Have a great day!
Blessings,

Dear Jeanne, am I really the first to post? Where is Charlotte?

Today I am putting the finishing touches on a writing assignment. One can only procrastinate for so long after a while it becomes “never going to do it” (laugh).

Have fun on your Saturday adventure!

  2. We drove 2 hours and back to a church event, took a nap when we got home. Right now we are cheering our Bull Dawgs doing a great job against Kentucky so far! Go Dawgs.

You must have posted sometime during the morning (as in breakfast-time) hours, Jeanne, because I didn’t see anything when I shut my computer down before going to bed (very) late last night, and usually your blog shows up around 1 a.m. my time. I hope you and your friend had a great outing. Maybe there will be pictures???

My exciting sewing this weekend was to replace the ribbing cuffs on a fleece jacket I made for Ron a few years back. He had worn right thru those cuffs–I don’t know What he was doing!! (laugh) Maybe chewing on them?????? 😂 Anyway, I still had some of the ribbing left, so was able to replace the cuffs and they matched. Shows it was good quality ribbing, because, even though that jacket has been washed many times, you can barely tell the difference between the original bottom ribbing band and the new wrist cuffs. The hardest part was removing the old ones–black ribbing, dark gray fleece, black thread….those of you who sew will understand!!

I have the front of a summer nightie pleated now, and will start smocking it soon. This will be for me!!

Today was exceptionally warm–at one point my car thermometer read 89° but I think it may have been over hot pavement at that point. Our “official” high was only 79°, but it definitely felt warmer than that at times, perhaps 84 or so. We have one more day of sunshine and lower 70s, and then it’s back to the reality of autumn in the Pacific NW–rain.

What in the world? This didn’t come to me until Sunday morning, which it is right now! Saturday is gone, but it sure was a chilly day for us and the wind was something too! Fall is here, for sure! I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary for a Saturday, just mostly stayed inside fixing up the dolls Halloween table, cleaned my own house, and made brownies for Michael. Nothing too extraordinary.

Today is church, and we are getting our flu shots, which our church sponsors right after church this morning. Should be a decent day, so. I might get outside and trim some ivy. I’m going to cut down a bunch of my flowers and we will be soon putting the patio furniture away. Normal October things to do.

Hope your trek to Cape was fun!

I was just sitting here on Sunday afternoon and decided to give it one more try to see if I could comment. I couldn’t even type anything before but I can now so this is really just a test to see if I can get my comment to go through.
