A few Easter Slips for your dolls…

Thanks for the comments about my new “magnetic” closing shoes… well, sort of my “new shoes” … they aren’t totally up to par just yet, but I’m getting there. I did have a few things to share with Joy… that one shoe I showed with the magnet on it…it was truly just a prototype…and the apple green one is still a work in progress. I will make a smaller “patch” on the inside the color of the leather of the shoe…and I will get the strap down on top of the dolls foot. I am still looking for the perfect finding to stick to the magnet in the side of the shoe. I went to a jewelry store in another town and bought 4 things to try out… we’ll see..

But today was something different… I realized today, it’s too close to make another dress and get it listed, let it run a few days, then ship it to someone, and expect it to be there by Easter… so I opted to make a few things that won’t run in an auction, but can be bought outright… say like some SLIPS! :o)

I had plans to make LOTS more for all the different size dolls I sew for, but my day didn’t go as I had planned, and then Rebecca called when I was right in the middle of sewing… but anyway, I got 4 made for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends…

One with a purple rose…

One with a pink rose…

One with a blue rose…

…and one with a yellow rose…

I took this picture with Sara and all the slips around her…

I remembered I had this bag of little colorful chicks I had bought at Goodwill back in 2020. They were a bit wonky and cockeyed from being stuffed in the bag…

I still put them out thinking they might add some whimsy and colorfulness to the picture…

If you’d like a slip, I’m selling them for $14.00, with Free Shipping… right here from my blog for now… I’ll work on some other dolly slips too!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

I see that “LIttle Lambie” already has one bid! Yay!!

I have to say, all your pictures of TenPing certainly turned out well. I especially love the close-up ones, where she’s sitting, and Lambie is right by her shoulder.

The slips are wonderful, Jeanne, and that’s a great idea, to make some up to sell to go under the dresses our girls might already have.

Although I don’t have a RRFF, I do have several of your slips, and can testify that they are the perfect things for under a pretty dress! Really they are almost too pretty to be UNDER a dress! They could even be a ballet costume if you ask me! What a great selection you have and a good idea to sell some, since Easter is right around the corner!

Those little chicks are too cute! I have them too, and they are perfect for putting in my dolls Easter baskets without adding weight! Maybe you could even add a chick or two to the buyers of the slips!

Ten Ping looks completely adorable in all of your photos, Jeanne! Some tiny little doll is going to look just as adorable as she does soon!

Good to hear about the interior shoe finishing. So many details. 🙂 I wonder if a simple small washer would work if the buckle isn’t magnetic? I’m sure George has a lot in his stash. 🙂
Lovely slips. I agree with Linda, that they would be really fun with a cami for a ballet costume as well.
Sunny today, but another of those Pacific storms coming in yet again overnight. Good thing that the daffodils are about bloomed out. But, not doing the apricot tree any good. 🙁

  4. The slips are sweet and certainly a necessity under pretty dresses. The little chicks are too cute and perfect for spring. The daffodils are blooming beautifully here and the tulips aren’t far behind. Spring is finally here.
