Only pantalettes today…

My day was busy with the Food Pantry and then taking a corn casserole and a few other things over to Jean and Bithar’s family.

I managed, after dinner, to get a pair of pantalettes made to go under the current dress. I wanted to use the same lace as I did for the collar and sleeve cuffs, but it is only about 5″ wide, so I had to add an upper section on them.

They just have an elastic waist and easily slide up your dolls legs!

I did switch dolls from Chrissa to Rebecca. She has those pretty hazel eyes and they look perfect next to this dress.

I was trying to capture the colors of this fabric better. The green in the print is just about as prominent as the red, but it’s not showing up that way in my pictures. It’s a very pretty fabric!

See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne

The pantalettes are beautiful, Jeanne! Just perfect to go with that lovely dress.

I can see something like this, although perhaps fitting a bit looser, as very feminine pajama bottoms with either a matching top (white with lace) or a top made of a dainty floral or tiny check, and trimmed with matching lace!

I see that Ten Ping’s outfit sold for a nice price–congratulations! My little Gigi finally did catch a peek of it, but decided that, although she thought it was very pretty (and she wouldn’t have complained if I’d gotten it for her! 😂) she wouldn’t fuss because she is trying to be extra good before Santa comes! That girl!!

Today I got cards/notes from two of the Sofa Sisters, and shortly after my fall I got a lovely flower arrangement! Thank you all so much. You’re the best!

Has anyone heard from Dorothy in PA and the World? I haven’t seen anything from her in a while. I hope all is well.

Hi, Charlotte. Today, I received the card that I sent to you back in our mailbox marked Return to sender, No such address. Perhaps it was because it was written in cursive?? Don’t know. Anyway, I was thinking of you. 🙂

        hi Joy, Thank you! try

PO box 24, same city and state, zip 98043

Although we do get mail at the house, too, the PO box is easier! 😁

Those are such pretty pantalettes, Jeanne, and go perfectly with this dress! Yes, Rebecca is the perfect model for this dress, although I loved Chrissa also modeling it with that dark hair! Dark hair seems to bring out colors more, adding to the contrast, but yes, Rebecca does have the advantage of hazel eyes and brown hair to soften things up.

Well, Thanksgiving is over, onward and upward to Christmas!

Linda’s right about the dress suiting both Chrissa and Rebecca. Perhaps Elizabeth and Addy should have a turn, and all four be used for the Ebay display so that everyone can see how beautiful this dress would be for any doll.

Have you ever managed so many Christmas dresses? And have you considered a green Christmas dress for Mary Ellen?

By the way, yesterday, a bit late, I posted a short version of Wikipedia’s “Dream-catcher” article. They appear to be more magical than religious, so I think they are ok to use with dolls.

An extra note here, Jeanne, but the blog did not come to me today after coming all week! I had to get here by opening yesterday’s post. Hope it isn’t a step backward!

  5. I didn’t have time to comment yesterday, but I would have said that Chrissa really belongs with blue much the way Kirsten does. I guess i like a dress to complement a doll’s eyes. Of course, brown eyed dolls like Samantha and Josefina can wear any color
The pantalettes are lovely. That eyelet is very pretty.

Time to start the inside Christmas decorating. I used to always have the tree up for the first Sunday in Advent (this Sunday), but I don’t see that happening this year. Hopefully, I can at least get my German wooden things and Hummels on the bookcase. The kitties have their Christmas toys out, does that count?

  6. My doll friend and I went to a doll auction yesterday. Another friend couldn’t attend so I offered to bid for her. That was not a smart thing to do…she gave me prices but almost every doll went for way over her $. It is a good thing for doll collectors but made me a nervous wreck. I have to send her pictures today so I hope she is happy with them🥴There was a box of 20 of the mini AG dolls. Not one was in a box and I didn’t see them up close but they went for about 200.00 I only bought one doll …my favorite Madame Alexander Dionnes …a 20” one. I won’t get 5 of that size but love having one.I thought it had an original dress but after unwrapping her at home it looks Momie made …but perfect age wise and style.
Many of the dolls were Repro Bru and Juneau..but honestly SO WELL DONE….most collectors would never be able to afford a real antique one so these were absolutely wonderful and the outfits…Jeanne you would just melt…they were so beautiful. One I bought had a tag of 259.00..and I paid 15.00. Probably the only bargain I bought.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We took a picture of all of us around a big table and my granddaughters boyfriend ( he has dark hair and bearded) was in the center …it reminded me of the last supper painting when I saw it. 😂🥹
Now the busy begins…have a good week everyone.
