You are in for a Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll TREAT!!!

Hi everyone,
We worked on the house putting up curtain rods, painting the nicked up baseboard… I worked so hard getting the baseboard all nice and neat and the carpeting being laid kind of tore it up… (I used a wide putty knife to hold down the carpet next to the baseboard, and using a small watercolor-type paint brush, touched it up.)

…putting in a new hall light, vacuuming the fuzzies from the carpet, hanging 3 more blinds, washing the grease off the ceiling above the stove… etc, etc, etc. We worked till 5:00 Saturday evening and then Sunday was full with church, and a few activities afterwards, and I made some cupcakes for Blessing (Bithar’s daughter is 5 today!)

I also am giving the 4 girls some of Rebecca’s Ty Kitties she used to collect. They can each one of their own… They are like new and 2 of them are the bigger ones… and so cuddly! I also found a new ladybug purse in my “goodie stash” and am giving Blessing that too!

I was wrapping and baking and decorating so my Sunday left no time to sew!

BUT… Sally was the one who came to my rescue today and probably tomorrow! I am splitting up her pictures into two days so I can catch my breath and get caught up on a few things here…

This was Sally’s first email… “OBLIGATED?… THRILLED is more like it!”

Good morning Jeanne,
Woke up, the sun was out, the back deck was dry enough after last evening’s wonderful rain, so I decided to get in gear and pull out SOME of my darling Rubies to take pictures for you and the sisters. I know you have times when you have overextended yourself and are just too pooped for pulling something together.
I am sending 10 pictures. Do NOT feel obliged in any way.
Hope you are having a super weekend.
Love,
Sally

Here is Anna (from Russia) walking her beloved Sadie. Anna is in the next picture but it doesn’t do her wonderful face justice. She says to tell Auntie Jeanne a huge thanks for this amazing outfit. Many of the other kids are barefoot and look longingly at her fantastic flip flops. Oh, well! Lucky Anna!

Girls of Summer. I am giving the names of the dolls and the names of the women or shops who made the clothes. It’s only fair.
Here we have Daphne on the left in a new Monique wig I like much better on her. Next is Josephine, also in another wig, wearing a Barb Davis outfit. Avril is also in a Barb Davis set and a new wig. Eira is wearing Mathilda Pink, and Anna is wearing idreamofjeannemarie. ❤️

Victoria, (France) and Marianella (Spain) in original outfits. Elena from Russia in a gorgeous knit set by Olga Gillespie. Vasilisa, from Russia, wearing a Maisie set as the turquoise sets off her turquoise eyes. Louise, from France, in her dark wig. She told me she did NOT like having her sweater tucked in her skirt, so I obliged and had it out with the belt over it. Have to agree with the girl. Last, Alexandra from Russia who loves her outfit so much, she will be keeping it on.

Here is Sasha from France in a Maggie/Kate. Luca is wearing a Mathilda Pink set with a Maisie cowboy hat. Rory is Rory, what can I say? Luca (Owen) is wearing a Maisie western jacket over his outfit made by a woman in Germany. Kaylily is a custom Kayla by Alex Berg in Italy. She is rather sweet on Alex, wearing Maggie/Kate.

Rebecca (France) is wearing Josephine’s original wig and a set by Mathilda Pink. I couldn’t get the matching green and white striped belt to lie flat, but she is content. Lila is wearing a sweet set from Darla Howell. Libby is in a set by Serena of OmiDollCloset, and Brunette Maisie, aka Maggie, is also wearing Darla Howell.

Well, I hope that’s enough to keep you occupied this Monday… I’m saving more for tomorrow… you won’t want to miss them!

I’m heading to bed!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

How discouraging, that the carpet layers were not careful around the baseboards while they were doing their job! But you managed very nicely to cover their dings. I think you should let the company know, though, that they were Not careful!

Happy birthday to Blessing! I’m sure she’ll be thrilled with her cupcakes and presents, and the other children will be happy with their new pets, too.

Sally, what a wonderful collection of RRFFs you have!! I just loved seeing all your pictures. Anna looks lovely in her Jeanne Marie Original. And as for the rest….let’s see….the girls in the first group all look quite summery! I do like the ruffled neck on those blouses; something I should try one of these days.

I love Marianella’s hair–so pretty!! Mine was about that color when I was young, although I didn’t have Nearly so much!! Now, at 76, it’s changed into a sort of ash blonde. No kidding…I have NO gray hair, and never have! Good genes….

I had to giggle at what you said about Louise, though, with her definite opinions! My mother was Louise, and She had definite opinions, too! (And, my middle name is Louise….🙄)

I have to admit that Luca is rather growing on me. I really have very few boys dolls (however, I do have one son, four nephews and four grandSons), but….Hm….

And I think Rebecca is probably a lot more comfortable without that belt, anyway! Especially if it’s hot outside.

    Thanks for sharing!

      Hi, Charlotte
I am so glad you enjoyed the Ruby parade. Yes, those ruffled tops are cute and fun. You definitely should make one.
So you had fluffy, tightly curled pale blond hair a kiddo? Fun connection with this doll. She has beautiful blue eyes, too. Maybe I should rename her Charlotte! ☺️ One of my DILs is of Nordic ancestry and her fair hair and the gray are all blending in so well, it’s hard to tell what color her hair is. Very soft and flattering. Good for you for good genes!
I loved your comments and you have been most generous with them. Have a beautiful day up there in Seattle way and I hope we see your pictures soon.
      Thanks, Charlotte.

    2. Sally from Colorado

And Charlotte, you sure made me grin with your remarks about Louise and your mom and your middle name. Thanks so much for the smile!

  2. Linda in St. Louis

Jeanne, you certainly have been busy! That was a great save to repair the baseboard the way you did. How disappointing that must have been when you saw all your hard work painting so messed up, but it all looks so nice now!

Those cupcakes are darling and I bet just as good as they look! What little girl wouldn’t like those? And kitties too! What a red letter day for Blessing and her sisters!

Sally, you have a darling lineup of dolls! How in the world do you keep track of names and who made the outfits? So many , and we have only seen half of the pictures!! I love the smiling RRFF dolls, especially Sara, but if I would get a non smiling doll, it would be Victoria. She is perfectly darling in imy opinion!

All the dolls are perfectly dressed, and conrats on winning the latest Jeanne Marie creation! Looking forward to tomorrows pictures!

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Good morning,Linda!
Is it hot and sticky there today? I will never forget leaving our middle son there in St. Louis to start college in late August; it was just beastly. I think of that every time I see your name.
Had to laugh about remembering names. I had to look up Sarah in the Doris wig. So many have the Sarah face, but once I check my private Pinterest board, I get my answers.
Thanks for your sweet comments. Victoria is a cute, pensive girl. Actually, Louise has her face. And thanks for the congratulations. Laura loves cats, I love dogs. Sadie tipped the scale. I have Jeanne’s first Monkey Business with this romper that is one of my most favorite outfits. The changes Jeanne has made in the design are really impressive.
      Have a good one, Linda.

    2. Sally from Colorado

Well, Linda, this is NOT my morning to be doing this blog. A quick power failure as I was trying to submit my first note to Jeanne got lost. My first response to you got waiting for moderation. So I wrote to Paula and hit submit. That reply got taken and mine to you got lost. Good grief.
Here goes again. I asked about your weather there, because every day when I see Linda from St. Louis, I remember the hot, sticky day we left our middle son there in St. Louis to start college. It was nothing but BEASTLY. I felt like a terrible mother leaving him there on that. Yikes, Linda. You all deserve medals!
So, about remembering names. As I was writing to Jeanne, I was scratching my head trying to remember which doll was wearing the Doris wig and the Ruby Red outfit. I figured it had to be a Sarah as so many have the Sarah face. All I have to do is go to my private Pinterest board to find out who is who, and that is, indeed, the By the Sea Sarah. I need help sometimes, that’s for sure.
Victoria is a sweetie with her pensive expression. Just love that girl. Louise has the same sculpt, different skin tone.
Thanks for your comments and the congratulations. Have a super day. Now, let’s see if this second reply gets accepted. Grrrrr….

        1. Linda in St. Louis

Ha, ha, Sally! Don’t worry, I get my share of problems with the internet! I notice that when I accidentally type in the wrong letters of my email address, my comment waits for moderation too, and that little quilt block is different from my usual one.

Hate to tell you this, but the weather has been just lovely, low humidity and dew points, and a joy to be outside! Very unusual for St. Louis at this time of the year, I will agree, but I’ll take it!

          1. Sally from Colorado

Ha! That might have been the problem. Oy!
Well, what delightful news that St. Louis is being kind! Hurrah for you! Long may it wave. 👍
            Thanks, Linda. 🙏

  3. Jeanne, what a great job on repainting the trim- too bad it got scraped up with the carpet getting laid down. It sounds like the living quarters will be so welcoming! You even got the area above the stove cleaned!
And then celebrating Blessing’s birthday. What yummy cupcakes and fun kitties for her and her siblings too.
    * I bet our Laura would agree on the kitties!

Sally, how fun to see all your kids! Different faces and outfits – I enjoyed seeing the variety.
My absolute favorite would be Russia’s Elena. Her outfit is adorable and that gorgeous hair and face! She’s my “fave.”

Spent a week with my sisters. Had such fun – one day my younger sister had a tea for us, scones and cucumber sandwiches among other things. We three also enjoyed visiting over a puzzle of Scottish tartans. 1000 pieces and so many plaids. Didn’t get to finish it but hopefully another trip will do it!
Imagine the commotion while visiting with my sisters and their three doggies- one Great Dane, Jane the Great Dane, and two very large St. Bernard’s, Poppy and Lila! 😂

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Good morning, Paula!
How lucky to have sisters to have fun with. You and Jeanne are so blessed. However, a 1000 pc puzzle of tartan plaids??? Yikes! Gluttons for punishment, I say! Still, I am sure it generated lots of laughs. Sure hope so.
Thanks for your kind remarks about these kids of mine. Elena is quite the girl, and when I saw Olga’s outfit (she had it modeled on Alexandra, another Russian girl), I knew Elena had to have it with her coloring and curls. She has deep green eyes.
Well, I am having my troubles today with this blog. Lost my first note to Jeanne with a quick power failure, my comment to Linda is waiting for moderation. Holy cow! We shall see what happens here. Have a great one, Paula. Here goes….

  4. What a fun way to start the week☺️
Blessings should be so happy with her Birthday treats as well as all the other kids. Those pink cupcakes look yummy🥹
Did the carpet layers at least apologize? We had the same thing happen but lukily the woodwork had not be painted so it didn’t show..I just dabbed it with colored polish.
We had part of our electrical system re done a couple months ago and yesterday I noticed a sheet of instructions I had taped to the wall was wet…🥴 the tubing for the ice maker was above the wet spot and had evidently been leaking from a tiny pinhole…this was right over my serger and extra sewing machine. Luckily my “other person” turned it off till it can be fixed.
Sally…what an amazing set of dolls and photos and you get an award for having the patience to dress and wig and accessorize all those cuties. You have a talent for choosing just the right outfit for the dolls personality. Eria pops out to me as a favorite as well as Kay Lily…she looks SO REAL. I couldn’t even begin to pick a favorite outfit…except Jeanne’s of course? If I ever get all my patients finished maybe I can sew for my RRFF. I am tempted by the boy doll too😊
Off to book club…read “ West with Giraffes” it was quite the story. Will see how everyone liked it.

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Good morning, Kathie!
Whew! It sounds like your sewing machines did not suffer from that leak? Hope that is true because I know these machines are not cheap. I did get a grin and rolled my eyes about taping instructions to the wall. It rang a bell, let’s say. Sure helps finding the doggone things when you need them.
How nice of you to say that about how I coordinate outfits to go with my kids. Actually, Jeanne’s sweet outfit might look better on a doll like Freida, but poor Anna. Her original outfit is long hot stockings under wool shorts, a long sleeve turtleneck sweater, and a long camel coat with purse and boots. Mighty, mighty cute and well made, but goodness, poor kid. She needed to bust out and deserved that JM treat. 😆
Funny that you mentioned Eira. A lot of folks don’t like her heavy eye makeup. Now that she can cavort with Josephine and Daphne that both look older as well, I am happy for her. For a long time she “stuck out.”
As for Kaylilly, I agree. I have wanted a doll done by Alex for quite awhile. This girl is a winner. Thanks so much for your comments as I appreciate them. Get that leak fixed and find some time for your sewing!

  5. Debbie in North Carolina

Wow! I have missed some major projects, beautiful quilts, and charming, well dressed dolls last week. Jeanne, you and George are to be commended for such an awesome remodeling job for the church housing. The result was so inviting. I am sure it will be much appreciated by those that come to stay. My recent bathroom remodels pale in comparison to yours. We did have an adhesive tropical garden in the window that just about took the glass out when we ripped it off. If it was up to you and George we would have gone with a new window but we are not handy! Rozen is looking ready for the first day of school and is sure to turn some heads.

Anne, I have been reading about your quilt projects and just want to say that you sold them for far less than they are worth. Each one is a work of art!

Judy, those dresses are just right for your Little Dreamer, the smaller the dress the more difficult. Not that I have ever attempted to sew a doll dress. I will leave that to all of you lovely ladies and enjoy looking at the fruits of your labor and creativity.

Sally, what a treat on a Monday morning! Somebody must have gone on a hike this weekend. Love seeing the Rubies dressed for summer play and the imports in their original outfits. I am so quick to abandon a doll right away before she gets a chance. It has something to do with those bald heads and naked bodies, yuck. Petunia has already gone but I think I may give Josephine another chance after seeing your pictures. My second Little Darling will arrive this week from Missouri, she is a brunette and I have fingers crossed that she is wearing a good wig. Poor LD # 1 is wearing a curly affair that makes her look like Empress Josephine while I wait for the other wigs, (plural) to arrive. I fear the loss of Monique wigs will ripple through the doll industry.

    Happy Monday!

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Hi, Debbie!
Haha! Actually, that somebody DID go on a hike so I enjoyed doing the dolly shoot without seeing him shake his head and roll his eyes. Uffda!
I’m a little puzzled about your remark on Petunia. What do you mean you abandoned her? You don’t like her? I have read some comments on FB about not liking her hair. My Iris and Petunia should be arriving next week, and her hair with the side locks and ribbons entwined in her braids was a real draw for me.
Wigs are a huge help and can make all the difference. I saw Josephine as a boy with the red Luca wig and thought that would be a solution. It worked quite well, but I think my Owen wants his red wig back. I am usually a “shorter hair” and smooth look kind of gal, myself. So I have quite a stash of wigs, and trying different ones usually strikes a sweet note eventually. I think this wig on Josephine is “her. I also love that “Jojo” wig on Daphne. Yes, mighty sad about Monique being out of business as I love those wigs. I am trying to snap up ones I like when I see them, and, of course, their prices are climbing.
Congrats on another LD. That one from Magalie looked like it was a long, smoother curl wig?
Have a good day and nice to have you back and that you were able to catch up with the amazing action that has been going on here! ☺️

      1. Debbie in North Carolina

Ah the eye roll…. Nice to have some time alone with the dolls. I am trying to get used to full time hubby.
I am sorry to say that Petunia and Iris were listed on the bay the same day. Petunia sold in 2 hours and Iris is languishing on my listings. I don’t sell for profit just to make room for new. This week it is LD’s.
Magalie gave me the heads up about Monique, trying to prepare me for a less beautiful wig. It is not even the color that I ordered. I ordered more blonde, this one is more red and the hair is thinner than a Monique. I bought a group of wigs on Etsy hoping for a winner. All the wigs have 50’s name like Kitty and Becky and the boxes look that old. Now my LD looks like she stepped out the 18th century! The search continues….
Looking forward to to more pictures tomorrow.

  6. Sally from Colorado

    Hi, Jeanne,
Trying this again. As so many sofa sisters have experienced at various times, my comment disappeared. In my case, I was just submitting when we had a power blip. I could not hit submit again, so I went on to answer Charlotte and that worked fine.
So awfully sorry about having to redo work that had already been done. It is always such a kick in the head. I had a feeling you and George were going to be up to your eyeballs this weekend doing work for others. You are such thoughtful, generous people. The baseboards look wonderful, and clearly you were on a whirlwind schedule.
What awesome and yummy cupcakes. Blessing must have had a huge smile seeing and eating those. The kitties surely were a hit, and I, too, thought of Laura.😉
Thanks so much for sharing some of my pictures. I’m glad it was a beautiful morning and I had the energy to drag the dolls to and fro to do this. It is less than half the collection, but I wasn’t up for ladder work to get the others. More beautiful kids are coming. I think my oldest granddaughter might be learning eBay to sell her AG stuff. We have a deal that if she likes it, she will do the work to sell my AG stuff and get 65%.
Hope today is a bit more relaxing in your sewing room. Love that book bag!
    ❤️

    1. Debbie in North Carolina

What an awesome arrangement for you! Happy to offer tips. I sold 4 dolls this weekend.

      1. Sally from Colorado

Debbie, thanks for that offer. As for the Monique wigs for LDs, if you like, I could go through my supply and send you pics of ones I would be willing to part with. How disappointing to order a LD and have a poor surprise wig arrive. Oh, woe!

    2. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Sally, oh my goodness, your children are adorable! I bet dinner time is very busy at your house (laugh). I love how you have them all neatly dressed.

You mentioned trying to remember who was wearing what. I sometimes forget who is who (smile). Then they just roll their eyes at me. I do think that our doll children have fun with us just like we do with them.

I was happy to see Victoria. I really wanted her but I got to the site too late for the pre-order. I will be content to see your little sweetie.

I am looking forward to the rest of photos to be posted tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

      1. Sally from Colorado

        Dear Dorothy,
I am so glad you shared that link for the virtual doll event. I am not sure how much time I will be able to tune in, but I plan to register tonight.
I laughed at your comment about the noise from all the doll kids at dinner time. Happily for me, they are all watching their waistlines. I suppose I could say I’m watching mine, too. Ha!
I’m so sorry you missed Victoria. As for remembering doll names, that is a tough one. You are so right; they probably laugh at us!

  7. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, how nice that you are going to share the stuffed animals with the dorm girls. I am sure they will be delighted to have them.

The birthday cupcakes look delicious. I bet that Blessing was happy at her party.

I just signed up for the Virtual Doll Convention. Rachel Hoffman, the sponsor, is using a “tip jar” as she calls it. You can pay what you want generally starting at $5. If you don’t have any funds available, you can ask for a scholarship. She wants this event to be open to everyone in the doll world.

  8. Happy Birthday to Blessing! The cupcakes and kitties are sure to be a hit and the ladybug purse is super cute.
Oh fun!! What a wonderful way to start off the week. Sally, your RRFF collection is fantastic and these are just SOME?? of them?? LOL Can’t wait to see more tomorrow.
Anna looks darling with Sadie. All the others are just precious as well. I really like Elena and Victoria, but they was gone before I knew they existed. Had to laugh about Louise. My Aunt Louise had strong opinions, but she was a lot of fun to be around.

Actually Sally, I love BOTH cats and dogs. I had a Yorkie growing up and then another as an adult as well as a Collie/Samoyed/ Keeshond mix that walked up the driveway as a stray and straight into my heart. After we lost her my daughter did not want another dog and I didn’t want to be without a pet so we got our first kitty, a Siberian Forest cat because they have a dog-like personality and not ever having a cat before thought this would work out best. My mom had never been around cats either and wondered how it would go, but she loves them both also. I most definitely love both equally now. I can also say that the saying “That people who don’t like cats have never had one” is very true. I’m a convert. I wasn’t always a crazy cat lady. Just like dogs they each have their own very distinct personality.

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Hi, Laura,
Thanks for your comments and I am happy you had a few fun minutes looking at some of my kids. Alas, there are a lot of these kids in this house and another box just arrived today. I THINK I know who is in it, but am open to surprises. 😉
I’m sorry you and Dorothy both missed out Victoria. I almost didn’t order her as I was doing Phanie. Very glad I did. And Elena was a hard catch, but Anna more so as my source got her after the war started in Ukraine. Touch and go there.
So Charlotte had a mother named Louise, you had an aunt…sounds like Louise gals have minds of their own. Right up my alley! 👍
We have had a few cats. The two sweetest ones did not last long, alas. The ornery yellow one kept on going and going. She was a hard cat to like. She was very mean to our ailing golden retriever at the end of his life. I felt great satisfaction when I brought home a very, very bouncy chocolate lab a few months after losing the golden. Her ears went flattened the minute Ginger bounced into the house; Zipper was mad as a hornet. That gave me joy, sorry to report. She lived to be 13. The chocolate lab put her in her place. She was our last cat. Every now and then I meet a cat I like, but one of our rescue dogs hates cats. There will be none here while she is alive.
Thanks for all your notes here, Laura; it has been a pleasure! 😉

  9. Anne Coldron in Christchurch NZ

Sally your dolls are wonderful. What a treat to see them all in their wonderful outfits. I’m looking forward to tomorrow to see some more. I can’t believe you have even more than you are showing us.

Jeanne so sorry that you had to do all that fixing up after all your hard work.

It is coffee morning today and one of our lovely friends is using some extra money her husband gave her to take us for a special morning tea.

Linda we have lots of humidity here but ours is called rain lol. After 3 lovely days of sunshine we now have another week of rain to look forward to, oh joy. At least it is warmer so that is a small consolation.

The warmer weather did give us a chance to do some of the work in the garden that needed doing. The new sleepouts need to be painted asap but the trees behind them had to be trimmed first so Sam and Jono were doing that while I was at church. Jono carried on while Sam and I trimmed the grapevine thne I sat in a chair and chopped up all the branches so they would fit in the green bin. We also had a cotoneaster that was self set from when next door had a big tree. Unfortunately it was very low growing and a bit of a nuisance so we trimmed it back to try and train it into more of a tree. I managed to get all those trimmings into the bin as well so that was good. It was so lovely sitting in the sun.

    Have a great day people.

    1. Sally from Colorado

      Hi, Anne,
I hope you saw my note a few days back about your quilts. As someone else said, there are many of us who would have been thrilled to have paid a lot more than you sold them for because they were all spectacular. I never did find the heart, so a great “secret” indeed!
Happy that you got a smile looking at some of my kids today, thank you.
A cotoneaster TREE?? Seriously? What a sight that must be. I’m glad you have had some sun to relieve the wetness.
      Thanks, Anne.

  10. Joy in northern CA

Finally had a chance to read today’s blog. Been out of town on a cabin run. So beautiful in the mountains.
Very kind of Jeanne to remember a birthday for a 5 year old. I’m sure with so many in the family having a special treat is wonderful for her. She will love her gifts. 🙂
Sorry to hear that the painters had a run in with the baseboard, but it happens. I fixed ours exactly as you with a long joint compound blade. Hope the paint sticks and doesn’t get banged up with a vacuum. It happens. 🙂 Love the carpet and I’m sure that clean kitchen will be so welcome. When do the girls move in? I’ll bet they are anxious.
Seeing Sally’s girls with their names and the maker of the outfit is fabulous. Now, If I can just remember all of names here. Definitely need to make some nametags. Maybe a photo book with a page for each as well. 🙂
So hot here today, and we also have smoke coming down from the northern fires. Hope the wind shifts soon.
Looking forward to more of Sally’s pics tomorrow. 🙂

    Hi Jeanne,

I’ve been MIA again. Lurking late at night but not commenting because it’s to late to join in the fun. I hope you all will forgive me for my very late comments. : ) Jeanne I think you’ve done it again! You and George have once again put your home rehab talents to work. Wow what an amazing job you did. I’m sure everyone visiting the church house will appreciate your hard work. It’s sad that the trim was scratched by the carpet install but it happens. Each time we’ve had carpeting put down it’s happened, I understand why though the backing on carpet is rough… Charlotte it’s like very open weave burlap only very rough and not pliable which makes it very hard to maneuver, unfortunately painted base trim takes a beating. Looks like Jeanne had the perfect solution to repair the damage. Jeanne, I laughed out loud when you wrote Reuben gave you and George the “Stink Eye” for being gone all day. Our cat Madison was mad at us for a few days after our visit to South Carolina to see our son and his family. Funny how our pets act like spoiled children at times.

Anne, All your quilts are lovely! What a nice setup you have for sewing quilts. How nice that your daughter shares your passion for quilting. Sadly my daughter doesn’t care for sewing, gardening or cooking like her mom does. It was so nice to read that your quilts were snapped up by someone that appreciates all the work that went into them! Thank you for sharing your photo’s with us. Love love love your work! Gorgeous!!!

I loved Donna’s girls all dressed and ready for Fall and Halloween. So much to look at… fun wow! I’m a sunflower fan so naturally I loved those sweet dresses. Thanks for sharing Donna.

Jeanne that book bag is the cutest and your mini goodies you bought are perfect for this project. You made them work… good job! I’ve never seen the ensuite bathroom remodel; you guys knocked it out of the park. Love the colors used! So lovely! There is so much to be proud of… I’m really glad you didn’t save the Norman Rockwell prints LOL! Happy Birthday Blessing! What a sweet name indeed. I’m sure the yummy cupcakes and the kitties went over big time!

Sally… I read and drooled all over your dolls early this morning before I was on babysitting duty. I couldn’t see the photo’s as well as I wanted (super small screen you know). Not sure why but I can’t comment on Jeanne’s blog using my tablet or cell so I promised myself I get on my PC and leave a message after I drooled some more. lol Your girls are so beautiful, each one cuter then the next. I think Elena from Russia is the sweetest and you have her styled just right! But I love them all. Congrats on so many lovely girls… oops and boys.

I wanted to share my carpet install story. Hubby and I had bought a tiny country fixer in our early 20’s. Richard was a toddler and Danielle a baby. We were finally done building out the walls to fit insulation, we had replaced all the windows, we had rewired the entire house, hung dry wall and primed and painted every room. Finally we were ready for carpet! Yesss! Sears had a great sale on their best carpet! Happy dance! The installers came mid morning and started on our whole house install… Taking a lunch break they left and came back smelling like skunk… When they were finished there were scuff marks high up on my new walls (like two feet up). The worst of the damage was in the stairway all the way up to the second floor. They forgot to cut the carpet away from one of the heat register openings. I definitely was an unhappy customer that day. The boss on the project came back the following day and fixed the problem. He did apologize. I really wanted to tell him if he and his crew hadn’t been high maybe… well I decided to zip my lips instead. The carpet was a joy to walk on and clearly much much better than underlayment plywood! ahhh fun memories!

Hope you all are well and staying comfie cool/warm… which every you prefer

    Hugs
    Ingrid
