I did it! I got Rebecca’s and Elizabeth’s new dress set listed on Ebay Monday evening. If you missed what all the hoopla was about, you can see it by clicking the picture on the right side bar, or you can click HERE.
Here are a few of my favorite outside pictures…
Now, do you want to see a couple of photo bombs from Reuben? I was outside taking some pictures of Rebecca and my hubby said Reuben was watching me out the window, barking his head off. I guess he wanted to see what I was doing with “that doll!” So my hubby brought him out to where I was, and he got in a few pictures…
My hubby is growing some lettuce and radishes and has them in a wire cage so the “critters” don’t eat them… He wanted you to see how they are coming along… Rebecca said she’d help… :o)
I took her over by his tomatoes and guess who photo bombed again?
I also wanted to let any new subscribers know there are TWO ways you can read my blog… it will come in your email in you subscribed and when it does it will have the title of the days post written in BLUE! If you want to read it as an email, you’ll see all the pictures but you won’t be able to comment or see what I’m talking about when I say something like “at the right side bar.”
If you want to be on my actual website, you have to click on that blue title with your mouse and it will take you to my website with the comments at the bottom. It also has a header at the top and a “contact me” tab that you can send me an email from. I wrote a post explaining the various ways you can do things on my blog. If you are new and want to check it out, here is the link to that post.
Now for some dolly news… Joy received her new little Ten Ping, the 12″ Siblie version… (my Ten Ping is the 8″ edition) Anyway, she arrived in California and Joy has already made her a sweet dress with a darling pinafore… Want to see her? I knew you would!
Oh, and I almost forgot… Happy (Monday) Birthday to Laura! We wish you MANY MANY more! :o)
That’s all for this Tuesday post!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
First, a belated happy birthday to Laura! Hope you had a wonderful day.
This is a beautiful ensemble, and and dolly (or momma) who is a Jane Austen fan would be delighted to have it!!
I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Reuben, too–of course, he wanted his share of attention!
I love the outside pictures, Jeanne! Rebecca looks so regal in her new outfit, with the darling little cap! I love all the “lacey” touches from the overlay, the cap, gloves and pantalettes! Reuben certainly knows how to get noticed too!
George’s veggies are doing wonderfully, and I can see salads in the making! That is interesting to see how he plants lettuce and radishes to keep out the bunnies. Hope it works!
Joy, that dress and pinafore you made is just darling! The pockets are so different and make the pinafore special and different. I love the color combination too! Of course, your Ten Ping is certainly worthy of such an outfit! Hmmm, that little teddy bear looks familiar! Could he be from a certain Jeanne Marie?☺️
Happy belated Birthday to Laura! Today is my sister Laura’s daughter’s birthday. I think she is 3 now. Her name is Meadow.
Congratulations to Joy on her new Ten Ping! Her dress is lovely! 🙂
I like Elizabeth’s and Rebecca’s new dress set, too. Very nice!
Thank you, Karen. How interesting that you have a sister named Laura.
Meadow is a lovely name
Jeanne, for a brief, very brief moment, I said to myself, “BID, Sal!” I immediately “auto-corrected” and told myself I was totally nuts to think that way. This outfit is most definitely something I would have gone “all the way” for, no matter what. It is that beautiful. Well done, my friend, and I hope it gets the price it should.
Joy, that set is so cute, but I have told you that at least three times. Everyone that sews on this blog seems to be quite accomplished. Dorothy of PA and I have other accomplishments, don’t we, dear Dorothy?
Friday night, 9” of snow. Saturday, another 3”. Last night, teeming rain, and this morning, another 3-4” of snow. My windshield that had a tiny dot crack from a stone from the highway cracked almost all the way across the entire windshield. 2nd time in 3 years to replace the windshield. This is pretty common in CO. But the cold snow finished the job. Ground is loving it as are the aquifers, but the trees are looking pathetic after this triple whammy and the Iris are all broken over now, even if none of the buds were open. Sigh.
Everyone, have a beautiful day. Wish I could send some of this to you, Joy, but we sure needed it, too.
Dear Sally, right you are! You and I are the equivalent of patrons of the arts. We are patrons of the artisans, supporters of the sewers, and cheerleaders for the crafters. I think we should get tee shirts (laugh)!
You are such a clever fox, Dorothy! Tee shirts indeed! 🙌🌺❤️
Glad to hear your keeping some of the AG’s and I’m super curious as to who will make the cut? I KNOW you will keep your Kirsten in her gorgeous Swedish lavishly embroidered outfit. I bookmarked that because it was so lovely.
I would have a difficult time removing dolls, so that why i add them so slowly because they mostly get new names and backstories here.
Somehow my “Hi Sally’ didn’t attach to my post. So sorry about that.
Rebecca and Reuben are certainly rockin the garden today. Love the photos. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful garden as well as Rebecca and her lovely outfit. The vegetables are so ginormous. I can’t believe that they are this far along already. Is the secret chicken manure? Right now, we have a couple of raised beds with absolutely nothing in them. However, we did pick up the soil enhancements day before yesterday so as soon as the heatwave subsides, we can get them ready to plant. Better late than never, I guess, even though we may not have enough water to keep them damp.
Another day of heat here and then hopefully some cooler weather will return.
RRFF Siblies Victor and Nellie arrived yesterday greeted by other person. Woe is me. 🙁 I need to get them both dressed and wigged. They came with wig caps and wigs to put on. I’d like to make them some summer fun outfits, but haven’t found the right fabric yet. Perhaps, I need to make the trek to Joann’s soon. 🙂
Dear Joy, oh my goodness, the dress is adorable! I love the colors you selected.
Sorry your mission did not go off undetected (smile). I am sure next time it will.
Poor you indeed, Joy, to have other person intercept the twins. Hopefully their arrival is soon forgotten.
Dear Jeanne, thanks for showing photos of the trusty Reuben. He is such a sweetie.
First, thank you Sally, Joy, Barbara, Debbie, Dorothy in PA and the World, Linda, Jeanne, Charlotte, and Karen for the happy birthday wishes. I really appreciated all the sweet comments. I wouldn’t have typically said something, but when Sally wrote Happy May 23rd I felt she was speaking to me not knowing the day’s significance.
Rebecca is just lovely in that dress and dainty day cap. So fun to see Reuben in the photos. I think I would have wanted to include the first one in the listing.
Joy, the dress in pinafore you made are just beautiful. I really love the blues and greens together and the sweet pinafore pockets.
The outdoor pictures. They are always the best. All that green always shows off your beautiful dresses. Rebecca looks so pleased.
Sorry about the twins, Joy. And my garden is not ready to grow either, but — snow. And now rain. Cripple Creek, in the higher mountains, got 22″ of snow. Summer may be made lots better with this late, wet snow.
Whenever you mention Cripple Creek, I think of other person’s grandfather who actually lived there and ran a restaurant in maybe the late 1800’s. 🙂
Hi Jeanne
Thought I’d better pop on and say hello I’ve been MIA for a while. I read each day but mostly so late in the evening that I’ve missed all the chit chat. Jeanne your newest ensemble is absolutely lovely. I love that era, to me the clothing style is so feminine. I’m also a big fan of Jane Austen books and have enjoyed all the video offerings. My fav is P&P in particular the Keira Knightley version. I’ve even watched P & P and the zombies LOL couldn’t help myself! Jeanne I also wanted to say how much I love the purses you’ve made for the RRFF.. so adorable!
Joy, your Ten Ping sible is a cutie and her new dress is so sweet. Love her pinafore. Sorry OP got to your twins before you. Have you or are you planning on entering the sock monkey contest on My Meadow page?
Happy belated birthday Laura! Hope you enjoyed the day and your kitties loved their treats and new toy.
We’ve had another go around with Covid here. This time even hubby was sick. I’m the only one that was over it and feeling better after two days. The housing market still stinks around here so we’ve decided to stay put convert the garage into living space, mom and dad can have our master and their house will be sold. Sounds simple right? I’ll be decluttering and down sizing 60 years worth of stuff… pray for me!
Is it Friday yet???
Hugs
Ingrid
Ingrid, don’t envy you downsizing. We’re still trying to gain a handle on the multitude of boxes around here. Have someone coming over from the valley to take a look for possible auction. Not fun. Sorry about the Covid return, but glad you are well. And now we have Monkey Pox to think about. Ugh.
I put in an old photo, but nothing like some of the fabulous photos I’ve seen entered. There will be some well deserved winners. 🙂
