” Springtime Sweetness” is listed on Ebay plus MORE…

Yay! Sara and Rozen are sharing the pictures in the Ebay listing of the new dress set I’m calling, “Springtime Sweetness!” It was listed on Ebay Wednesday evening and will end Monday evening. If you want to check it out, you can see it by clicking on her picture at the right sidebar or you can click HERE.

ALSO… Look what I found… and it will make this sweet set even sweeter! It’s a perfect match! :o)

I knew I had used that name, “Springtime Sweetness” before, but I forgot who was the “wearer” of it, so I had to look it up… It was Julie, and she was wearing a dress I copied a pattern from that I HAD ACTUALLY MADE ONE FROM FOR MYSELF. That was a fun pattern to create. If you want to see the post where I showed it, you can click HERE.

(Marilyn, that’s another mention of Julie… hmmm…) :o)

If you want to see even MORE cuteness, take a look at these pictures from Kathie… They are sure to add a smile to your face! Thank you Kathie… they are just adorable! :o)

Left to right….
Little Darling Mold #2, Tricycle Riding Bunny, Crabby Bunny, Papa Bunny, Little Darling Mold # 1, Meadow’s Giggi, Paola Reina, Mama Bunny, Little Darling Mold #3, RRFF Bella
My favorite Little Darling ( #3) right next to Bella. Both faces by Dianna Effner…right?

Thanks so much Kathie! Your girls are so beautiful! (oh, and your bears too!)

Come back tomorrow and see what I have for you…
Blessings, Jeanne

You have some wonderful pictures on your listing, Jeanne; I like that you do such good close-ups of the details. I’m so glad you line the crown of the hat; I must try that with a couple of hats I have here. I’m sure I’d be happier with the way they go on and off the heads!

Of all the belt options you offer, my favorite is still the sparkly one. From what I’m seeing on my monitor, it seems to match the dress the best. Of course I know in person it may look a little different, but that’s how I’m seeing it, anyway.

Kathie, thanks for sharing pictures of your Easter display. So nice to see all the dolls in their Easter best, and posed with some bunnies, too. I’d be hard-pressed to choose a favorite.

Did you make the runner underneath them? It’s beautiful, and I love lavender and yellow together!

    1. Thanks Charlotte,
I’m so happy you liked how it all turned out… I liked the color of the sparkly belt too, but it was just too stiff to tie a bow and lay as I’d like. I tried to steam it with water and then press it to soften it up a bit, but it didn’t cooperate with me…

So far it has been well received on Ebay and in the 2 doll forums I shared it on…
In one day’s time, I have had 332 views and there are 29 watchers! That’s a good sign that it’s the right kind of dress that everyone likes. Yay!

      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, what chocolate lover wouldn’t love a candy bar almost as big as they were? Plus, the wrapper matching her new dress? Love that it works so well! 😉 I loved going through the pictures on the auction site! You always give the most detailed review of any I have seen! This is going to be fun to watch, but not for Rozen or Sara!

Kathie, what a darling lineup of dolls and bunnies! It is so fun to see all the different expressions of the faces on the dolls, and all the darling bunnies that kind of tell a story as you go down the line. I love especially the dress on the last two dolls, the black and white one is especially wonderful, and you can put touches of other colors with it to change the look of the dress with the seasons. Love the lace trimmed boots too!

Yes, the runner looks like it was just made for this display! Did you make that? Thank you so much for sending this to Jeanne, and to Jeanne for showing it! It is so fun to see how others decorate for Easter!

    1. HI LInda,
That chocolate bar was so pretty, I just couldn’t resist, so I rounded it up to 10 pieces for the set instead of nine. But… I found the candy after I had scheduled it to go on and it went on before I changed it to include the candy… if someone on here wins it, they’ll be happy they knew about it and if someone who didn’t know it was coming, wins it, they will be pleasantly surprised! :o)

Sara has been put back on the shelf but Rozen is still beaming on the cutting table, standing with her head up high, looking so pretty! :o)

I’m sure you have everything all decorated and ready for Easter… Me? I was asked to be in charge of the food for a picnic we are having after church. I guess I’m not cooking for us… but this should be pretty easy… and we will certainly have more variety than I was planning! :o)
      Thanks again,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. I think Sara and Rozen will be off to find the Easter bunny. So sweet with the candy addition. 🙂
Great fun seeing Kathie’s delightful Easter display. The bunnies and girls are adorable. Loved seeing Bella and her little sis. They are very cute together. 🙂
I’ve actually finished one dress for Easter for the RRFF girls. One more to figure out a belt. That trip to the store today to pick up some things might help. 🙂 Maybe I’ll actually have something done on time. or not?
Been hearing Julie’s name a lot lately. Perhaps, she will be next?

    1. Thanks Joy, who doesn’t like candy? It’s a good thing it was wrapped in a cellophane wrapper or “someone” may have gotten into it before the auction ended. :o)
I love seeing how all of you decorate with your girls in groups! Kathie did a great job setting up all her girls! So cute!
Good for you on getting an Easter dress finished. It used to be my best time of the year for dresses… I had too many things on my plate in February and March and then April when I was off galavanting with my sisters.

You may be right about Julie… Today was supposed to be my day of seeing if I could figure out what to make her, but out sewer decided to clog up and we have been working all day on it, trying to figure out where the clog is… no success in determining where the stop up is, so we start again tomorrow morning… terrible timing right here at Easter… ugh!

Oh well, I have a warm bed and running water… (it just can’t be run down the sinks) and food in my cabinets and a warm home. I am blessed!
      Thanks Joy,
      blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, “Springtime Sweetness” brings back sweet memories of my first ever sighting of a RRFF. It was your blog and it was an outfit you made for Rozen. I did a thorough internet search only to learn that she was a LE and no longer available : ( That led me to Sara at FAO and I have been a happy collector ever since. By some stroke of luck Happily placed a Rozen on the bay many months later and she became mine. Your dress ensemble will brighten the wardrobe of a lucky RRFF collector. Blue is my favorite color and Rozen and Sara shine in this beautiful dress.

Thanks for encouraging words, I am glad your ordeal is over.

Ingrid, I love seeing “Aya” in her winter cardinal romper and sweater. She is so bright and cheery; I am sure her Easter outfit is perfect for her.

Kathie, Your Easter display is so playful and colorful. I love seeing all of your Little Darlings with the different sculpts and their adorable outfits.

Can’t wait to see what is waiting in the wings Jeanne.

    1. Hi Debbie,
What a neat story that you saw the RRFF on my blog and had to have one and then some more… for me, a friend, Donnell, brought Sara to my house and I saw her in person for the first time and became obsessed with getting her… and now I have 4… oh dear! Thanks for your kind compliments on my dress set this time.

The colonoscopy isn’t bad at all… it’s just the anticipation of it and the prep can be a little hard, but it’s just one day really… you can do it!

I was going to work on who was next, but things got in the way… I’ll try again soon…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Barbara in SE Texas

I love this dress on both dolls. It was a lot of fun going through the picture gallery and seeing both dolls looking so lovely. The black and white pictures are marvelous.

Kathie, your Easter display is wonderful. Love crabby bunny. I can’t imagine why he is crabby with so much loveliness around him. I have the Little Darling sculpts #1, #2 and #4. Sculpt #3 should be arriving sometime in the fall. I chose a short wig for her because she looks so impish. Since I have several of the RRFF I wasn’t going to get the LD #3 but I felt like my LD family wasn’t complete with that one. Giggi is so adorable. I love the quilted table runner. Pretty colors.

I’ve nearly finished doing my dastardly taxes. I put it off until the last minute because we always owe something due to the fact that most of our income arrives in the last quarter of the year and we haven’t a clue what it will be. One year it wasn’t much when due to drought our crops failed. I was glad for the extra days this year due to the 15th being a holiday. David bought a new laser set up for his bulldozer this year and that definitely worked for us.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the projects my sofa sisters are working on.

    1. Barbara in SE Texas

Actually the laser set up was 2021. Wouldn’t have done me much good right now if it were this year.

    2. Thank you Barbara, for your kind comments about my dolls and the pictures of them. I had 80 plus pictures when I first started cropping them… They both are pretty photogenic… Rozen especially… It was fun and I just decided to include lots in the listing… unless you have dial up internet, it’s not a problem to zoom through 40+ pictures and see lots of poses.

Congrats on being done with your taxes… that’s something to shout about… maybe even buy a new doll over! (Well, just a thought!) :o)
      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. All adorable! Love Sara and Rozen in their beautiful dress, I think it would look great on the RRFF doll you got for Christmas! I couldn’t remember if you changed her name! Also love the Easter scene from Kathie. That baby in the bunny outfit is wonderful! Hope all have a wonderful
    Easter!

    1. HI Sylvia,
I was actually going to try the dress and hat on Freida (no I haven’t changed her name yet) but I was afraid she’d look wonderful in it too and I’d have to take even MORE pictures, so I decided to pass. It probably would have looked great on Stella too, with her red hair… oh well, there will be more dresses for them…

I hope you have a wonderful Easter too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. “Springtime Sweetness” is just adorable, Jeanne. I also just realized what the flowers remind me a lot of and that is forget-me-nots which i love! You know me and blue flowers. The hat just tops it off to perfection.

Your Easter doll scene is such a treat, Kathie. I love your favorite Little Darling as well with her red hair and sunny smile. That’s the mold I would choose also were I to ever get one. Bella’s shoes are ever so cute and the quilted runner is so pretty and perfect colors for spring. The bullion stitch roses of the pinafore of the LD on the far left are beautiful. I enlarged as much as I could to see. The ribbon embroidery on Bella’s sash is lovely as well.

    1. Thank you, Laura,
I like blue and white and teal and white and gold and white and aqua and white and… oh I could go on and on… I just love pretty fabrics and I’m happy to admit it! :o)

I’m glad you enjoyed Kathie’s pictures of her girls… weren’t they set up so sweetly? I loved looking at them too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Marilyn in Colorado

Kathie’s collection is wonderful and looks perfect for the celebration of Easter.

I’m glad the both Sara and Rozen are sharing the auction. They are both so pretty in this outfit, which would be equally pretty on dark-haired girls too.

Hm — Julie does seem to be showing up a lot. I think she’s very nice in spring colors and have been surprised at how successful she is at time travel.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
I’ve made a few dresses that I thought would make wonderful centerpieces for a table… but never used them. I think Kathie’s set up would make a wonderful set up or at least have them on the mantle or a buffet close by. :o)

LIke I just mentioned above, I was afraid if I tried the dress on Freida, I would end up taking pictures of her in it. I’m sure she would look smashing in it.

Hmmm… I wonder who was looking at 70’s dresses, and hippie dresses, and 70’s patterns, and boho dresses this afternoon? (after helping my hubby with the sewer!) could be me! :o)

      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Anne Coldron in Christchurch NZ

I love your collection Kathie. They all look adorable.

Jeanne I see you already have 3 bids on ‘Springtime Sweetness’. It really is a pretty outfit and such a good idea to show both Rozen and Sara in it. Now you will have two unhappy dolls instead of the usual one lol.

Poor Sam! She loads the dishwasher at night but unfortunately it lost a spring last night, no idea where from and it won’t work any more. It would be today, no one is allowed to open on Good Friday except a few exemptions so no chance of finding anyone to help until Tuesday unless Russell can fix it. I haven’t asked him yet still too early in the morning. Since we only use the dishwasher once a day (generally anyway) she had to wash the whole days dishes! My job is to empty it in the morning as I am the one who is always up first so it was all draining on the kitchen bench waiting for me at 6.30am! I think I might excuse her from washing up today lol. It is the start of the Easter Holidays so I think the kids will have to do some till it is fixed or we get a new one.

Saw the Physio yesterday for my assessment. She now has to send it to the doctor (who is away next week!). She said she would make it as bad as possible without lying! The problem is that the medication is helping but doesn’t get rid of the pain altogether. However it does allow me to function even though there is still pain there all the time. They might think I am not bad enough yet to go on the waiting list for surgery! However without someone in the house all the time I wouldn’t be able to do much at all. I certainly wouldn’t be wearing shoes as all my shoes have laces I would have to wear sandals or slippers as I can’t tie shoelaces or put on socks. I can’t manage taking out the washing or bringing it in as it means negotiating the steps on the deck with the heavy trolley basket and I would struggle with shopping for the same reason. I probably won’t hear for at least a couple of weeks. And, of course the hospital system is stretched at the moment with Covid. Not just that there are more patients but lots of staff are sick and isolating.

Ah Well Happy Easter everyone. Remember “It’s Friday but Sunday is coming”. Without Sunday Friday would leve us with no hope. Praise the Lord

    1. HI Anne,
The TWO unhappy dolls are Stella and Freida who NEVER got a chance to try on the new dress and hat set. They are sulking right now… I’m sure they would have looked equally as nice in the dress… oh well…
I have 332 hits on the dress in just one day… that might be a record… I just know every time I looked it had gone up some more… fun for me! :o)

We had similar problems with our sewer today.. the toilets wouldn’t flush and my hubby, who is an excellent plumber, wasn’t able to figure out where the clog is at… He’s going to work on it again tomorrow, but we are right here at Easter weekend too, and he didn’t want to call anyone for help on Good Friday, so he set up a porta potty we had in the attic and we are living like Little House on the Prairie right now… dumping water and “stuff” from a bucket into the sewer hole…

      Tell Sam, she HAS to use the water in the sink and we CAN’T use the water in the sink… well we can use it, but we can’t let it go down the drain… oh well… we have a warm house… and food! I’m not complaining. I hope I don’t have to take a spit bath for Easter! :o{

I’m so sorry about your knee and all you can’t do… I hope they get you on the list for surgery so you can get it over with and on with things you love… My hubby is scheduled for his next knee surgery on June 13th… they said it will be the worst of them all… taking out the old knee replacement and putting in a new one. I want to talk to them and see just what they plan to do to make it better. He’s already had a knee replacement, a knee revision and now another full blown knee replacement… all on the same knee. something seems amiss!

      Thanks Anne,
Yes, a very happy Easter to you Anne!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. This auction has some especially pretty photos Jeanne.the third one …a closer up view….I would think was a real person except for the line at the elbow. She is a great model.
Good luck..it is well on its way.
Thank you for all the sweet comments on the Easter dolls/dresses. I only made a couple of them but to answer some questions…..No…Didn’t make the quilted runner…my friend Joanne did. She has gifted me so many lovely quilted gifts. I’m so lucky and she is so prolific 😍The little Crabby Bunny was from a Region4 UFDC Convention by Nell Manaus from Arizona. The tag doesn’t say what year but is a favorite of mine. I was surprised how much Bella and the smiling Little Darling looked alike.
Have a nice Easter everyone. It will be a “ wear your winter coat to Church” kind of day here…60% chance of SNOW!

    1. Thanks Kathie, I’m so glad you liked my pictures… I told my hubby I had 44 pictures in the listing and he “almost” rolled his eyes… he thinks less is better… I might agree with him on that, but not for listing doll dresses. I think the more, the better… I want everyone to see just what they are getting! :o)

I am in charge of the food for a picnic after church Sunday, and we have a 50% chance of rain. I’m trying to figure out how to set up things outside and inside at the same time and wondering which will win over! :o)

Your pictures were so fun to look at Kathie. I know everyone enjoyed seeing them!
Thank you for sharing them with us!
Have a wonderful Easter (in your coat!)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  11. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, what a perfect Easter time dress. The hat just sets off the ensemble.

Kathie’s children are adorable. Of course I am partial to the Little Darlings. They could have their own Easter Parade.

    1. Hi Dorothy,
I wish I had thought of having an Easter Parade from all my readers this year… Maybe I’ll try and remember to do it next year. It would be fun to see dolls in Easter attire all over the world! Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
Blessings and happy Easter to you, Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  12. Ingrid B in Western N Y

    Hi Jeanne,
Happy Friday! Springtime sweetness is adorable. I’m so glad you got it listed. Hope you are feeling rested today. Thank you for sharing Kathie’s sweet photo’s.
Kathie your Easter display is so festive. I really love little girls in smocked dresses. Your’s are super cute! Thanks for sharing your Easter photos with us

    1. HI Ingrid,
It’s a good thing I got the dress listed last night because I spent the day helping my hubby with a clogged up sewer… it’s still stopped up and he can’t figure out where the clog is.. he’s practically a professional plumber and knows just about everything about it, but this house has no clean out valve next to the house, so we ran a 50 foot router coil in the pipe and still couldn’t find the clog. We are living like Little House on the Prairie… oh well… we had a few laughs in the middle of it all…
      Happy Easter Ingrid,
      Blessings, Jeanne
