Someone received a new doll a few days ago… and she’s adorable… Joy is the very happy mom to Masha! She’s a doll, sculpted by Swedish artist, Miroslava. She’s the lady who is famous for the 2 dolls I have… Dumpling (11″) Bailey, Twinkle (6″) Bailey, and Twinkle (6″) Navi. She’s a fantastic artist who keeps turning out the sweetest dolls…
This is ALL my computer or phone will let me do… I can’t get anything else to load…so I guess enjoy Masha… maybe Joy can tell us more about her. I sure hope this post gets published…dont know what’s wrong…
See you Monday (hopefully)
Blessings, Jeanne
What a sweet little doll, Joy! How big is she? her hands are so detailed, and I love the outfit! Please do tell us about her!
Well, I had one heck of a time getting the blog this morning, Jeanne! it just would not come up, but here it is now after several tries. What next? Hope it is nothing major!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Congratulations on your new addition, Joy! Masha is very sweet. You are going to have fun with her, I think, and I trust she will fit in well with your dolly family!
Jeanne, I hope you get your blog problems sorted out!
Masha is so adorable. She is 21 inches tall. The artist, Miroslava, likes to sculpt dolls from the faces of real children. The first one she sculpted in this size was Ardyn. She was sculpted from a photo in a contest on the Meadow Dolls Fan page, as was another 11″ doll who was sculpted from a photo of my granddaughter. I will send photos to Jeanne next week since I don’t know how to put them on here.
Yes, another Meadow doll is headed this way. Masha should arrive on Tuesday. Not sure how I’m going to run a sneaky caper on this one as she is the largest size of the Meadow dolls. I will be in big trouble even though she was ordered a year ago January. It takes awhile for these dolls to be produced, and then, I had her especially painted by Charlene Smith. The photo is by Charlene, so Masha, is dressed for her debut portrait. I don’t own the outfit although, it is very sweet. Her same size sisters Ardyn and Ardyn-Annie are here impatiently awaiting her arrival. I suspect that they will be throwing her a welcome home party. 🙂
Sissy’s grand made a wonderful model and the doll produced is very popular. Looking forward to her photos. 🙂
On another note, Linda, a big dollhouse is now on it’s way here. Coming with a lot of furniture as well. I’m sure you will recognize it because it is a Playsteel that I’ve been wanting for so long. We’ll see if it survives the trip, and if I can put it back together again. 🙂
Oh good, Joy! Is it like mine? So you have to put it together? I got mine already put together, since we drove to pick it up, so no shipping charges. I hope you are successful! What does Other Person think of you getting dollhouses?
The dollhouse I found awhile back was like the one I had as a child. I managed to stuff it into the doll room and other person really hasn’t bothered to look at it. 🙂 Should he find out the new box when it arrives is a dollhouse, I’ll have to rename the object inside and hide it in a closet somewhere until I can put it together. It is like yours. 🙂 Has some furniture with it as well. But not all Renwal. 🙂
Dear Joy, Masha is a real cutie. I think you are going to have to create a serious diversion to take Other Person away from the house. Maybe a gift card, with an expiration date of one day, to a store he really likes. Hmmm. Good luck!
Joy, in Northern Ca
I have Masha also, and I love her so much, I have been sewing for her almost exclusively much to my other dolls dismay…You will enjoy her, congratulations..:)
I can’t wait to see pictures..
It’s always fun to see someone’s new doll. I figured Masha was much smaller than 21” so that was a surprise. I imagine it’ll be easier to make clothes for her though. It’ll be nice that Masha will have friends waiting to play with her.
This box will be harder to get in your house.
Joy, congratulations on your new soon to arrive Masha. She is adorable. Can’t wait to see the clothes you make her. I love the 21″ size dolls but I’m running out of room for the smaller dolls so I know I can’t begin collecting bigger ones. At the moment I’m having to control my dolly fever. With the additional costs for our farming this year, I’m financially challenged at the moment and feel I cannot even look. I still have my LD coming from Magalie sometime in the fall and I plan on adopting the two L’il Dreamers yet to come but anything else right now is a no-go. Be sure to send pictures of your new dollhouse. I’m not good at imagining exactly what you have. I will send a picture of my new vanity, which is most of the bathroom. I’m over the moon with the number of drawers. There are nine of which I’m allocated six to use as I choose. David has the other three but barely has anything in his. Mine are full.
Jeanne, I hope you solve your Blog problem. I always keep mine up so each day I just refresh and it adds the new link so I haven’t had a problem with getting it today. I know this must be very frustrating for you.
Can’t wait to see Sissy’s photos.
Barbara in SE Texas, what is your blog?
Congratulations on your new soon to arrive doll, Joy. It’s nice she has two sisters waiting. I also was surprised that she is taller than an AG. I’m sure you will have fun sewing for her. I can’t wait to hear the story of how you smuggle her and your new dollhouse inside.
Just re-read Jeanne’s comment about her TWO (LOL) Meadow dolls,Dumpling (11″) Bailey, Twinkle (6″) Bailey, and Twinkle (6″) Navi. Hmmm, I count THREE. 😁Maybe Joy should employ this tactic and if they are all the same size then it only counts as one doll. In that case, I only have one PC/AG and not six.
I like that, Laura! In that case, I only have 1 LD, 1 Boneka, and 1 RRFF (instead of 7, 3, and 5, respectively)!!
Laura is a creative thinker. The best I could come up with is that the box contains special cleaning supplies — surely Joy’s Other Person would find those too boring to wonder about.
Masha looks like she’ll be a great addition to your doll family and that is a lovely portrait. Now you need to find someone who can duplicate that hat.
Dear Jeanne, I couldn’t get on the site yesterday either. I wonder what is going on in cyber land.
I hope you are having a good weekend. Seven days until May 1!
Had a time getting to this “ Share your thoughts” spot.
Joy….how lovely she is! The different faces that artist does are just stunning. She looks like she could walk right off the screen. Maybe this time you should let other person know about her and how excited you are…and how long you have had to wait..and that she is already paid for. Maybe the reverse physiology would work? Then you could unwrap her and let David share the fun?
Sissy…can’t wait to see the pictures of the doll resembling your granddaughter. 🥰That had to have been so exciting.
So sorry you are having cyber problems….honestly it can be so totally frustrating!
Thanks everyone for the great smuggling ideas. It would be great if our mail arrived at the same time everyday, but it varies and creating a diversion can be difficult. Fortunately, with Informed Delivery, I can presign online for the delivery so don’t have to deal with the doorbell, but other person is always awaiting the mail. Now the dollhouse is going to be another big box as well. It was too good of a buy not to though. 🙂
I’ve noticed on Jeanne’s blog that now, when I first open from email, the format has changed. But, once I click on it, it goes to the regular page and all was as usual. Something is going on. Maybe an update.
I have noticed that (change of format), too, Joy. I’m glad it’s not just me!!
