Twinkle Bailey’s dress set is finished…

*** Chocolate Bailey has been SOLD! ***

My day was long and busy it just hit 1:00a.m. Wednesday morning and I’m still going… but I’m almost done. I wanted to completely finish Twinkle Bailey’s dress set so you could see it. If you missed yesterday’s post, I am selling this Twinkle Bailey because I bought a honey skin toned Bailey instead. I didn’t want this doll to be sold and sent to someone naked, so I made her one of my tiny little dresses (she’s only 6″ tall) and a few things to go with it… Remember, she is brand new and only taken out of her box for pictures.

Undies… pink, no less… :o) When they are laid flat, they are about the size of a quarter! :o)

…the shoes are handmade by me and are included too…

Her sweet little dress is made from a navy and peach print and it looks adorable on her. It is about 4″ long and so tiny! I used some vintage lace from my stash and added some interest at the waist… also a peach sheer rose…

The dress is just sleeveless and opens all the way down in the back and closes with 3 snaps.

I made 2 hairbows for her to use however you like. They have snap clips on the back side and are super tiny, so you can only grab a small amount of hair with them… they almost just sit on the dolls hair.

Bailey picked out a cute puppy dog for her accessory which will accompany the doll and dress set.

Okay, now for some random pictures of the set…

This next picture might be my favorite… what a sweet little girl…

After I took a bunch of pictures with two bows in her hair, I took out one of the bows and I think I might like it better with just one.
Here are some of those pictures…

Now, since I’m trying to sell this little doll and her dress set, I’m going to copy yesterday’s post with the part about selling Bailey… in case someone missed it yesterday…

Back in June, 2021, a preorder for the tiny little Twinkle (6″) Bailey dolls came up…I already had a Dumpling (11″) Bailey and thought I’d like her to have a “matching” little sister. Bailey is one of the most popular face sculpts. The pre order was offering Bailey in the Honey color or the Chocolate color. I thought the Honey was too light looking and the Chocolate looked like it was a nice choice, so I ordered chocolate.

There was a wait from June till the beginning of February for the dolls to be painted and then shipped. I received my chocolate Bailey close to Valentine’s Day a few weeks ago. She was cute but when I saw her next to the bigger Bailey I already have, I realized I really should have gone with the lighter colored doll. I laid her next to my Bailey and Navi joined in as well. When I saw my pictures I knew there was no sense in keeping her… I wanted the lighter colored doll and should have trusted my gut from the start.

Here are a few pictures of the day she arrived…

Navi was quite intrigued with her… no clothes, no wig, no eyes put in yet… who was this???

I put her itty bitty green eyes in…

Here is a group picture of Navi, Bailey, and chocolate Bailey… (Looking at this picture…I’m going to redo Bailey’s eyelashes…)

Here are some more pictures of Twinkle Chocolate Bailey…

Here is my 11″ Bailey with the Chocolate Bailey and the one I found on Facebook… She is the one I showed you yesterday… I am very happy with her…and see how she goes with my bigger doll?

SO…now I have to sell the Chocolate Bailey doll… I see lots of ladies selling dolls nude, but since I sew, I’m going to include an outfit, a pair of my little leather shoes, a new wig I made for her, and an extra pair of eyes for her…(I think they are gray, but they may be just a darker green than the pictures of her laying on her pink wrapper.) The pictures of her in the dress I’ve started are with the “other” eyes I am including…

Her wig was fashioned from a porcelain doll’s wig that only had a partial cap to it, and while this new wig for Bailey has body to it, and doesn’t look thin in the back, if you separate the wig, you’ll see the elastic that I stitched it to. There was nothing to attach any more hair too, so I just had to make it like this. As long as you don’t separate it, it will work fine… I curled it so the heat should keep the ends curled under. It was really just a wig for her so she didn’t have to be sold bald!

See, the strands of hair have to hang down from the net circle in the top section of the wig…

Here are the extra eyes… the ones she has on in these pictures with the navy bodice…

Okay, so here’s the rest of the story… I am going to see if anyone on my blog would like her first before I put her on a doll forum or list her on Ebay. I am hoping to make my money back on her… to pay off my Honey Bailey…

I am asking $575 for her, which will include Chocolate Bailey, her certificate of authenticity, 2 sets of oval glass eyes, a wig, a dress, some undies, a pair of leather shoes, 2 hair bows, a puppy and her pink wrapper. She will be sent Priority, with signature confirmation. Shipping and insurance will be Free. I’m sorry, but this is just for my readers in the lower 48 United States, and I’m not able to do a layaway at this time…

Let me know by an email (use the Contact Me tab at the top) if you are interested… and I will send you an invoice through Paypal. I will let this offer stand until noon on Friday, and if she hasn’t been scooped up, I will assume I should put her on a doll forum…

Thanks everyone…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Little Bailey looks just as pleased as punch with her new outfit! I’m sure she thinks that Pink panties are Ever so much prettier than plain old white ones!! (Didn’t we all, as little girls, think the pastel or print panties were so much better than white?!) Someone is going to be really thrilled to receive her, I know!

    1. HI Charlotte,
Someone IS thrilled… I just sold her… and am taking her to the PO to be shipped to her new mommy!
I had white panties too, but like you said… (we) and she picked the pink ones!
      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Linda in St. Louis

What a sweet little outfit for little Chocolate Bailey! I’m sure she is beaming with pride at her new outfit and looks! Surely someone out there is looking for her!

Oh yes, Charlotte, panties with prints were much more fun! I do remember the “Day of the Week” panties, although sometimes I wore the wrong “day” because that’s what I pulled out of my drawer….or what was available!! 🙂

    1. HI Linda,
Someone FOUND her and now she’s heading to a new home! I think I’m going to miss her after all!

I can’t believe we are discussing panties (day of the week panties to be exact) on here! Makes me laugh!

Hi Jeanne…. Oh my gosh.. Bailey is absolutely adorable! I honestly think she’ll be snapped up on my meadows site in a flash. The outfit and those tiny little shoes are perfect. The my new mama will be thrilled.
I had to LOL thinking about days of the week undies… There were only six undies in the pack, Sunday was missing! thank goodness mom kept my undie drawer well stocked and pink or blue were always preferred over white!
In the house hunting department we WERE talking about building new instead of buying. Not sure that’s an option anymore… Prices are changing daily on everything from gas to groceries. Gas just hit $5 a gallon here yikes!
    Praying for peace!
    Hugs to all
    Ingrid

    1. Thank you Ingrid,
You were right…Bailey was snapped up a few hours ago…she’s on her way to her new home!!
Laughing still over all the undies talk!!! :o)

It would be a bit scary to me to think of building supplies and how much they are increasing…almost on a daily basis… but that’s just me…
Oh. I hope you find something soon…
Our gas is at $4.59 right now…but $5.00…ouch!
      Thanks Ingrid

Bailey does look sweet in her tiny little undies. The undies of my youth were Carters, and I loved the pretty little flowers. 🙂
Succumbed to a cute little vintage look kiddie car and trailer yesterday. We’ll see if the dollies like it. 🙂
RRFF Maisie blond with the guitar is due in today. Can’t wait to see her. Maybe she will inspire the others to take up an instrument. 🙂

    1. Thank you Joy,
More undies talk… I might have to make more for the girls… since they were such a hot topic today! :o)
Oooooo, can’t wait to see your girls vintage car and trailer… Sounds wonderful!

I hope Maisie was able to be gotten into the house without too much notice! Now you’ll be watching for more instruments for your other girls to play. You’ll have to have a recital like (I think Susette’s girls did!) Sounds like it would make great pictures.
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thanks Joy,
I was just so relieved that someone bought her. I was sweating bullets thinking, “What if no one wants her?” I can’t have 2 dolls like her! Well, I could, but I really can’t! :o)
      Thanks so much!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Barbara in SE Texas

I so wish I had the money to have this adorable little girl join our family but other things have by necessity taken priority. The bank just okayed our loan for our new driveway and roof. It has been back burnered until David was back on his feet since, except for the concrete, David and the boys will be doing the projects. We got the lowest interest rate available, but I was still surprised at the payment even taking it for the maximum time. I’m not fond of time payments but in this case we had no choice. Every time the wind blows I find more of my roof shingles in the grass, but then the roof is over thirty years old and has served us well.

Unfortunately underwear falls under the category of “fabric addiction”. I usually buy Jockey these days and am always checking out their website to see what’s new. I love patterns and they have some nice ones as well as nice colors. I talked Sean into buying some for Dionne for her birthday and she loves them. But I did grow up wearing Carter’s “Spanky Pants”. I also had some summer pjs that were made out of the same fabric. They were so like the panties that I often found myself accidentally wearing the bottoms all day.

Beautiful day today. Cool and sunny.

    1. HI Barbara,
Well, you can rest easy now, as Chocolate Bailey has been rescued and is on her way to her new home! I was ever so thankful and can now turn my attention to some other dolls…
I’m glad you will be getting your new driveway and roof! You’ll like those things better than another doll. Well, they won’t be “quite” as much fun as a new doll, but you’ll be happy! :o)

I don’t remember Spanky Pants… what year would that have been?
We had a slightly cool, but beautiful day here too, Barbara… Friday there is a chance of 1-3″ of snow again… and freezing rain… Say it ain’t so! :o(

      Thanks Barbara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. I missed yesterday as I was quite busy outside. Those tiny Baileys are very cute, but I can’t believe the price they command for such a tiny doll. Her dress set is very sweet, but the thing I like the very best is the puppy. He looks a lot like the puppy toy I bought one of my kitties when he was a kitten to snuggle with and he still loves “Puppy”.

    1. HI Laura,
Yes, these little cuties can come with quite a high price tag. If I didn’t sew for them to recoup my money back, I could never buy them either. I like it best when you buy a doll that makes the price of her back in just a few dress sales… or even just one outfit… I think that happened with my Stella… her first outfit went for more than what I paid for her… and that was before I sold her outfit she came in! :o)

That little puppy is from Mayberry Street miniatures… and he is one of my favorites… the perfect little puppy!
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Marilyn in Colorado

Barbara is having a cool and sunny day. We are having a cold, snowy one.

The new dress is charming. While you have all 3 dolls and all those monkeys, you might consider the picture possibilities for the My Meadow contest. You’d end up with two outfits ready for sale, which would be nice, and some super pictures for Ebay. And, of course, for us.

This dress is blue, which would go nicely with another of the denim and sock monkey fabric outfit you made for the RRFF dolls. Honey’s dress would be — maybe a brown mini-check skirt, brown top, brown pocket, red flower. You can be more creative than that. If you could take outdoor photos, that would brighten things up. I want you to win that contest.

    1. HI Marilyn,
We might be joining you with some snow on Friday… we might get 1-3″… but I think it’s just a one day event! I hope so… Have you always lived in Colorado Marilyn? …and are you a snow lover?

Well, I’m one less doll now as Chocolate Bailey sold this afternoon… and really,
I haven’t had hardly a moment to think about what I’m going to do for that contest… Fortunately it is open until May 1st or May 31st… I can’t remember… but I have time to still get something together…

Keep up the encouragement and I’m sure I’ll come up with something! I like that you are calling her Honey… that might stick! :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Dorothy in PA and the World

Dear Jeanne, I am so happy that you have found a new home for Bailey. I am sure she will enjoy being with her new siblings. Her traveling outfit is lovely.

    1. Thank you Dorothy,
I’m happy Bailey found a new home too… I think the lady who bought her is happy! It’s cold where she’s going, so I’m glad she had her pink soft wrapper to keep her warm!
Thanks so much for your kind words…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. You will make some Meadow fan very happy! Coming with all the accessories you are including has to be a huge bonus! Such a sweet doll. Good luck!

    1. Thank you Kathie,
Well, she’s been snatched up and on her way to her new home… I had fun with her while she was here…and if it hadn’t been for her, I might never have tried my hand at making doll wigs.. . I really didn’t want her to go to a new place BALD…
She was beginning to grow on me, so it’s a good thing someone wanted her!
      Blessings, Jeanne
