PLEASE NOTE:
The tiny little outfit for 6″ Navi, “Happy Holly Days,” ends this evening (Friday) on Ebay and I just wanted to remind you… I know how busy weekends can get and it’s easy to let something get away from you as you think about what is happening this weekend.
Anyway, just a reminder… you can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE… (remember the little top comes with this set too…
I did it… I finished Emmie’s dress, took pictures and got it listed on Ebay… all in the same day! I kept things very simple… but I think it needed to be. The jacket was left alone except for one lone snowflake on the bodice… if for some reason the winner doesn’t like it on there, they can carefully snip the threads on the back side and take it off…
I decided to make her a big fluffy hat… and this was fun. Emmie looked so sweet with the fur all around her face, so I made the crown part of the hat, then I added an extra 1 3/4″ band in the fur. I used batting and filled in that casing, stitching it closed as I went around the brim of the hat. It’s hard to see in my pictures, but it has a rounded look to the edge. You can probably see it best in the picture where Emmie is looking off to the side. I decided to leave the hat plain…nothing on it.
I added a bow to the newly made slip, (this one fits her now…) and it can easily be pulled down if the winner wants it to peek out from under her dress.
And lastly, a few of you mentioned a muff, so I had to give that a try… I rolled up the fabric around a tube and stitched it in place as I rolled it up. Now she can stick her hands in there if she likes. I tied a white ribbon onto it and hid the ends inside the muff.
I mentioned in someone’s comment, I almost wished I had snow on the ground today… but alas… no snow, so we took pictures inside. I changed my backdrop to my brown windows so the white fur would show up better.
This is a picture of all the items included…
It’s listed on Ebay now, YAY… and you can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
I will see you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Well, congratulations, Jeanne, I see you already have one bid on Emmie’s outfit! And I have to say, I really love this one. The jacket and hat are just perfect. And the muff!!!! When I was a little girl, I had a navy velvet muff, and I thought it was just the most wonderful thing–I felt so dressed up when I used it (and it did keep my hands warm, as it has some kind of filling between the velvet and the lining)!! In fact, I may still have it somewhere….
I read thru all the comments from yesterday, and thought I’d add a couple of replies:
First, thanks to all for continued prayers for Ron. And Barbara, I’m glad to see the update on David. Prayers continue for him, also.
Normally, I would be waiting in Ron’s hospital room for him to come back from his angiogram, but they have new covid rules. Frankly, though, I don’t know which would be harder, waiting there with not enough to do to keep me busy, or waiting at home, where there’s plenty of stuff I could do (but might not feel like it!). However, I did get the promised letter from Ron’s neurologist, saying that I should be allowed in the exam rooms whenever possible as I was an “important part of his care team”, which might sway the balance for at least getting up into his room after he’s back!
Joy, I laughed right out loud when you talked about waiting for “other person” to leave the room so you could bring your package inside!! Fortunately, our front door is down seven steps from the living room, and Ron can’t see me when I go down and open the door! I did get my Scarlet, by the way, and have opened the box, but she’s still waiting for her wig and clothes to be put on!! She really is lovely!!
I saw My cardiologist today, and my blood pressure is higher than he wants, so has increased my Losartan, and I’m to see him in 2-3 weeks. I chose three, as I want to make sure the angiogram is well and truly behind us before the next visit!
Good to hear that you may be able to see your husband soon after his procedure. And watch that BP. Great that your front door is steps down from the living room. Would be so nice if we had a hiding place. 🙂
Well, Jeanne, you knocked it out of the box once again!! I love the darling muff and hat! While it is for Christmas, this will work perfectly for other winter occasions too. The closeup picture of Emmie makes it look like she is standing in front of a window with snowflakes coming down, so even if you have no snow, it certainly gives the appearance of a snowy day! I just know there will be a bidding war on this one!
Charlotte, that’s wonderful that you will be able to stay close to Ron and I’m sure it will give him a lot of comfort knowing that you are there. Now, you take care of yourself too!
I WILL send some pictures to Jeanne, so hang on!
What a wonderful ensemble! Every piece is a little work of art. It will surely make someone’s Christmas very special, maybe even a record-setter!
Pixie Faire has a darling Freebie pattern available today. Another way to part with your money is some fabric I think I’ve mentioned before: Letters to Santa Claus. It would make a cute tablecloth or napkins for dolls or real people. Hope everyone has things mailed by now and can relax from that standpoint.
Dear Jeanne….fantastic+! Simple elegance with the exact amount of trim. Clapping my hands and stomping my feet over here in Salida!
Charlotte, Take good care of yourself. Maybe carry that beautiful Scarlett around with you to keep you smiling and the BP down. All my best to you and Ron.
Barbara, I hope you are keeping your sanity and that David has had no more exciting episodes. Nobody needs them.
Linda, looking forward to those pictures.
Heading off to wrap and package the Christmas box for the grandsons. Cloudy day here in Salida which is all right, but it feels moist but has been utterly unproductive providing any moisture here in town. Somebody got snow, but definitely not here.
Have a great one! 🥰
Little Emmie’s first snow is so cute. Love the jacket and muff. I would love to see a pic of Charlotte’s muff. Maybe she can locate it. 🙂
I forgot to congratulate Charlotte on her new Scarlet. I decided to leave the plastic on the wig interior which covers the sticky silicone. Putting on the wigs on my new girls was very easy as they can be adjusted rather than sticking. Unless permanent placement is wanted. 🙂
Susette, I saw that cute pattern today on Pixie. I think it can be reduced nicely to fit the RRFF kids as well.
Got up slightly late this morning and when I got on the computer, saw that a package had arrived from Etsy. When was this? It said 6:45AM. What? Hopped up and opened the door, burr, it was 37, and there was a small package on the mat. Boy, those post office people are up early now and working so hard to get things to us on time. 🙂 I might add, other person was in the shower, so no problem there. 🙂
Thanks for your kind comments on my sneaky caper rant yesterday. 🙂
Just adorable. I love that the hat, jacket and muff can go with other outfits, maybe even to a skating party. Only problem, Every time I try looking at the auction page I get a webpage crashed message! I hope that means there is a lot of traffic on it. So sweet.
Oh so lovely!
It really is a wonderful ensemble. Everything fits together perfectly and the jacket, hat, and muff could be worn with a different dress. Someone is going to be very happy to add this outfit to their collection.
Dear Jeanne, Emmie looks so pretty. I like the snowflake on her wrap.
I am sure some little dolly will be happy to find Navi’s dress under the tree.
Marilyn had a good thought…yes, that hat and jacket could be worn with lots of different dresses🙂
Charlotte..Glad you can be with Ron..and you take care of you too!
Jeanne….The whole ensemble is a knock out! Will be great for the winner to wear for several months yet .
Having our first snow…just a bit but next Wednesday it is supposed to be 70 again. Crazy weather😳😵💫
