Happy Sunday everyone…
I realized my auction for the Boneka doll clothing was ending this evening and wanted to send out a quick reminder!
You can see the auction by clicking on the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
Also, don’t forget, the white lace and red Mary Poppins dress is for auction too… but just on my blog. You can read this post to be reminded of it… The way to send me a bid is at the bottom… HERE.
Sorry, about not getting any comments in yesterday. My day was full and when I checked there were 21 comments… I thought to myself, well, that’s doable and was going to comment, but then I checked again and there were 30! So I just enjoyed reading what you all said.
I think your tent was a HIT, Joy! Everyone loved it as I knew they would! Thanks again for sharing it!
Blessings, Jeanne
There has been quite a bit of “chatter” on your last blog, Jeanne! I know I added a couple more comments tonight. Someone shared a link to Boneka dolls, and I found some pictures of my Jasmin, here: https://www.happily.com/Dianna-Effner-for-Boneka-Jasmin-p/effnerjasmin.htm
My doll arrived today, but I didn’t get to the p.o. in time to get here! 🙁 (There is only someone there for package pickups until 11:30, and I wasn’t quite organized enough to get out the door earlier.) So she will have to wait for me until Monday–poor baby!!
Good luck on the auctions!
Charlotte, your Jasmin is a cutie. I did find her earlier on FB too. I’m sure she will have a restful weekend at the post office. 🙂
Dear Charlotte, I am sure that your little cutie will be so happy to get home on Monday. I am sure that you will prepare cookies and lemonade for her. Please give her a hug from her cousins in Pennsylvania.
Will do, Dorothy!! 😉
Loved seeing Joy’s tent on yesterdays blog. I think I must show my daughter she would love to make it. For some reason it didn’t come up on my e mails yesterday. I think it may have gone into my junk mail for some reason. It was Sunday so didn’t have a lot of time to go looking for it.
Still able to have church as long as there are less than 100 people, not in Auckland though they are allowed no more than ten. We thought not too many would come but actually almost everyone was there and we were struggling to social distance! We only have a very small chapel at the moment. It is in a community complex which serves mainly the poor and vulnerable. It has a cafe area and our chapel has folding glass doors that can be opened into the cafe area when we have more people. However, at the moment another denomination shares the space and need the cafe area for Sunday school. They and us lost our churches in the earthquakes in 2011 and the Delta community building was compromised so first our Baptist Church was demolished and Delta used our church site incorporating our chapel. Crossways Presbyterian/Methodist are building a church next door on the old Delta community building site that we sold them and eventually there will be a connecting door to their area from ours and the whole complex will be used by both denominations. Unfortunately the pandemic and consequent lockdown has pushed the finishing date back from August to Christmas but it is going to be great when it is finished.
Loved your peach crisp Jeanne, I think we would call it a crumble over here. It is one of my favourite desserts no matter what fruit is used. I had some apples that needed using and made one last weekend but it takes me all week to eat it on my own!
Anne, I’m so sorry you and the other congregation lost your church buildings (as we know, however, it’s the congregation that is “the church”!) but I’m glad you have found a good solution for the time being. It IS nice to go to church again, isn’t it? And that the two congregations get along so well, that’s wonderful.
At one time, my late father’s church rented out their building to the local Covenant church while they built a new edifice. The Covenants went to SS while the Lutherans went to worship service and vice versa, and they shared a coffee hour. It worked very well, and the Lutherans were sad to see them leave once their building was ready!
