I had fun dolling up Madleine and getting things ready to list her on Ebay. Her new dress is finished… plus a few more things to go with it.
I made her one of my ruffled slips that just slides up her legs…and here is a close up of her shoes.
A hairbow, attached to a band snaps in the back and looks so adorable with her new dress.
I took her outside to take a few pictures so you could see her hair color better and her skin tone…
You can see how she looks in my Ebay listing, with lots (36) pictures, by clicking the link below OR you can click on the picture of her at the right side bar.
Sylvia Natterer, Madleine doll on Ebay
I hope you need her or know of someone who does! :o)
Have a wonderful Saturday!
See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne
Ohhh, you’re selling her?! Look at her face in that last picture–she’s saying, “WHERE did you say I’m going, mom? I thought I was home already!” (smile)
She’s beautiful, and if I weren’t already in possession of several (and trying to downsize my collection of other dolls, to boot!), I would be sorely tempted!
Good luck with your auction! Someone will be thrilled to have her!
Hi Charlotte,
Yes, Madleine needs to find a new mommy
..and someone has already bid on her, so she’ll be moving on from here.
I really didn’t need another doll to sew for!!
I have some other dolls that will be moving on after her too…too many dolls that I don’t really sew for…
Thanks Charlotte,
Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, you certainly did work your magic with that darling dress and hair bow! At first, I thought Madleine looked like a little orphan, but now she looks almost like a little princess! I know next to nothing about a lot of dolls, since I only seem to collect American Girl dolls, but do have a fair amount of little storybook dolls. The dolls I did get when I was a girl were played with, not really for “show”, so I never did get into the fancier types of dolls, unlike a lot of the readers here.
Good luck with your auction, and I hope Madleine finds someone to love and play with her!
Hi Linda,
Thanks for your compliments on how Madleine’s dress looks on her. My dolls were played with too and only my McGuffy Anna is still in the box
My mom wanted us to have a few collectible dolls. I have 2…
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh Jeanne,
I am sending you a message via your Etsy shop, please look for it. The Sylvia Natterer Doll is very cute and her dress and hair bow are perfection; she will be loved in her new found home I am certain. As for me, my four AG dolls are about all that I can handle as an adult (guess you could say I am not a collector), but oh how I love dressing the ones that I have. My two youngest granddaughters will have fun with them one day.
Laureen
Hi Laureen,
I did get your message…thanks!
Not everyone can be a collector…some of us have to be on the sidelines cheering on the ones who have more dolls than us. It’s probably a good thing I didn’t marry a millionaire… I would have spent all his money on dolls. I DO love so many I see. But I enjoy it too when I see others who have ones I don’t.
Enjoy your 4 dolls!!!
Blessings, Jeanne
Dear Jeanne, she does look very pretty in her new outfit. The outdoor photos do make her look very natural.
This is our last day in Paris. We strolled through the Left Bank. We stopped at Shakespeare & Company and purchased a book. We looked at Notre Dame and remembered how glorious it was when we were last here. It will come back. Charlotte Noelle is happy to be getting another stamp in her passport.
See you Monday, votre amie (your friend), Dorothy
Hi Dorothy
I’m surprised to hear from you…”all the way from Paris!” I’m sure you and Charlotte Noelle are shedding a few tears as it’s your “last day in Paris!”
I have certainly enjoyed your updates…
Blessings,
Love that last photo of Madleine. The color is fantastic. I am certainly no expert on Natterer’s. I just have a few I like. I see many listed at a variety of prices. Have no idea of which are more important than others. Except that is those by Kathe Kruse which are much harder to find and expensive. I think the interesting thing is that they come in so many sizes. I have some from 19″ down to 8″. My favorites are those dressed in costumes from their country of origin and the boys. All of mine came in their original outfits but some without shoes or replaced. For whatever reason, the shoes appear to disintegrate over time. I’ll have to see if I can get them all together sometime for a photo shoot. I think it would be fun to see everyone’s doll groups.
We’re heading down to see the grands tomorrow and celebrate a 4th birthday. Fun. 🙂
Hi Joy,
I figure anyone who has 12 of one kind of doll must surely be an expert!! Or maybe you just know what you like.
I think when you first started commenting on my blog, it was all about your 10 ers… are they all boxed up now or do you actually have a doll room,,? I don’t know if you’ve ever said…
Thanks Joy,
Blessings ,Jeanne
Madeleine’s last picture looks so sad. I hope someone adopts her soon. I would love to, but I’m trying to stick to the smaller dolls. They’re my favorites to sew for and they definitely take up less room.
I would love to see a group picture of Joy’s Natterer dolls.
Wishing Dorothy and Charlotte Noelle a safe return home. Maybe when Dorothy gets her pictures developed (down the road some lol) she will lets us all see them. We won’t ask for dates and time.
Today, hopefully, is photo shoot day. All the dollies are either dressed in new back-to-school or wearing something I made previously. They all want to be in on the action so I’m trying to figure out logistics. Could be a long day. Dealing with 20 some personalities can be exhausting.
Hi Barbara,
I received a bid on Madleine this morning, so somebody apparently loves her already. I hope they keep coming back to look at her. She might have a smile for her new mommy sooner than I thought!
I want to see Joy’s Natterer dolls too!
I hope your photo shoot went well today… and I hope you aren’t still at it. Taking pics can be tiring…so I hope all your girls cooperated!
We’ll be hoping for the best!
Blessings, Jeanne
The last details on Madeline really turned the corner. Now she looks just so sweet..the green ribbon on the dress matches her shoes so well. Her sweet but sad little face will grab someone’s attention.
Barbara…good luck with all your photography! Hope you will share :0)
Hi Kathie,
Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief for Madleine…someone did place s bid this morning, so things are looking up for her.
Thank you for your kind compliments on her dress set, Kathie.
Blessings, Jeanne
