Sorry, about that shameless plug in my title…just trying to let all the Mom’s out there know how much fun one set or both sets could be! :o)
I didn’t make it to your comments either… I will get Linda’s breakfast casserole to you.. maybe tomorrow. If you can’t wait for me to post about her Refrigerator Pickles, you can go to my search engine, just under the pictures on the right side bar, and type in Refrigerator Pickles and that post will come up. I’ve featured it several times. They are EXCELLENT!
Thanks for all the wishes to Alba…Dr. Alba… I’m sure she saw all of your sweet comments. Joy, I’m not exactly sure what her Doctorate title was, but she still has her job back in Colombia waiting for her. She’s a teacher at a University. I’ll have to ask her what her exact title is. Her school was the one who sent her here to further her education.
You can’t imagine how tiny Navi is…unless you have one, of course! When she lays in the palm of my hand it makes the perfect size bed for her! :o) I hardly ever say this, but she is SO stinkin’ cute, it’s almost impossible not to love her! Sewing for her, on the other hand, can seem almost impossible when you are sewing in those sleeves or adding those cuffs to the hem of her pants… BUT… she has me wrapped around her tiny little finger…(probably an eighth of an inch long!) No kidding!
I finished her set and made it slightly different than Bailey’s, but they are still pretty much Sister Sets… I’ll have to see if you agree. It was 9:00 tonight when I finished it, so there are no outside pictures for Navi… but the indoor ones turned out pretty nice…
Navi’s set includes the top, bloomers, a hat and NO puppy, but a pair of handmade red shoes…by ME! :o)
I made her hat just slightly oversized…to make it “overly” cute! :o)
She’s got the same little pocket as Bailey…with her own little red bow.
Okay, so here are some sister shots!
…and one last shot showing they really do love each other!
I wanted to get Navi’s set listed on Ebay before my sister’s arrive. SO…. I listed it late Thursday evening… and it will run for 5 days unless someone uses the Buy It Now…
You can click on the picture of Navi at the top right side bar or you can click HERE to see the listing.
Hope these 2 cuties added some sunshine to your morning!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Navi’s outfit sure turned out cute, Jeanne; almost makes me wish I had one, too! And I do love the sister shots. I always wished I had a sister so we could dress alike, but that didn’t happen, just a brother! However, in recent years a sewing friend and I try to make/wear something matching for at least one day of our local Sewing Expo! And that is a lot of fun.
Thank you Charlotte,
It was a lot of fun making a set to match Bailey’s!
When Cindy and I were younger, we used to have matching dresses sometimes or one would be red and the other blue, only the same style.
Glad you have a “sister friend” to dress with!!
Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, all I can say is aww, so sweet! Reminds me of me and my sister, just two years apart, always getting dressed alike! Trouble was, when I outgrew my dress, I would get a new one, and my sister would get my old one! It sure didn’t bother me though! I can’t get over how sweet those to dolly’s look and the outfits are just adorable!
I also can’t imagine sewing such tiny outfits, and shoes too! You certainly work miracles, sewing miracles!!
Thank you Linda,
I enjoyed making these outfits and it certainly helped that the dolls are so much fun and cute to boot!! I see lots of sister sets in their future!!
Even dollies enjoy sister sets!!
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
Dear Jeanne, the girls look adorable! This is definitely a sister time for you and Bailey. What fun.
Is Alba going to attend her commencement ceremony? I am sure we would love to see a photo of her in her cap and gown.
Have a great Mothers Day/Sisters Day Weekend!
Hi Dorothy,
I’m glad you like the girls in their matching sets. It was almost more fun to pose them than it was to make the outfits…
I will make sure and show a picture of Alba in her cap and gown.
I WILL have a great Mother’s/Sisters Day!!
Blessings, Jeanne
Hi, Navi & Bailey! Two cute peas in a pod. Love your outfits.
Like Dorothy, I was wondering about Alba attending her ceremony? Wonderful that she has a job waiting upon her return to Columbia. Will Sara be attending a new school there? Wish the family the best.
Have a fun Mother’s Day weekend with your sisters and family.
Thank you Joy…who started all this “cuteness” for me! Can’t thank you enough for enabeling me on these dolls. Remember that night I bought Navi when she popped up on the Meadow Fan club? I was scared to pieces wondering what had I done…didn’t sleep a wink that night and woke up wondering if I had made a mistake. Well. It’s clear to me now that it wasn’t a mistake. I can’t imagine either of these girls not being on my dolly shelf! So thank you!!
Yes, Alba will go to her ceremony and she does have her old job waiting for her when she gets back. They paid for her to come here…
Sara will begin high school when she gets back. In Colombia, they only go to 11th grade, but they pretty much go year round there…only having a few weekly breaks.
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
Good morning Jeanne,
What a sweet sister set. Some lucky twinkle/dumpling owner is going to be so happy. I think I need a twinkle to go with my Giggi!
So happy to hear everything went well for Dr Alba. Congrats to her and best wishes for her and her family as they return to their home.
Add me as one who would love Linda’s breakfast casserole.
Jeanne enjoy your visit with your sisters, I know you will
Hugs
Ingrid
Hi Ingrid,
You DO need a Twinkle for Giggi! Navi is more challenging to sew for but posing her is absolutely unbelievable. She can pose just about any way you want her to… I think my favorite shot is of her sitting on the arm of the bench is just her bloomers and hat. I love how she looks there.
I am going to try and get Linda’s breakfast casserole posted tomorrow!
Thanks Ingrid,
Blessings, Jeanne
Absolutely adorable little girls! They can’t be any cuter. The outfits are just adorable. Navi’s shoes are so tiny but little little girls need shoes because they don’t always watch where they are going?
Too cute, Jeanne.
Hi Paula,
Bailey kicked off her shoes and didn’t want to put them on again…
Thanks for your sweet comments.
Happy Friday to you…
Blessings, Jeanne
Had a busy day today but before I finally head in to sew, I just wanted to get in my two cents. Bailey and Navi are so cute together. You can just see the love. I love the bloomers on Navi. I get a catalog of children’s clothing that has big sister, little sister, baby sister and brother outfits. Each size is a little different but they all go together. They always look so cute on the models.
I don’t know how soon I’ll get any other pictures taken, but I am going to get one off real soon of the sister dresses I made for my 18″ MA and WW Camille. They won’t be in the other pictures anyway because while Camille will fit nicely, Gracie is so much bigger that it will be hard to pose. Making Gracie’s dress, since I hadn’t sewn for her in a while, was almost like making a little girl’s dress. I had to redo my thinking about amount and print scale of fabric, amount and size of trim, size of buttons so that what worked for Gracie would be at least similar to what worked for Camille. On Pixie Faire there are several sister patterns for the 18″ dolls and WW. I can’t wait to make more outfits alike for them.
Have you seen the new Meadow for preorder? Her name is Mae and she 15″, which makes her a bit pricey. But she is lovely.
Hi Barbara,
Thanks for you kind words about my girls lin their new outfits. I truly enjoyed making them.
Please do send some pictures my way when you get to them.
And yes…I HAVE seen Mae…she is adorable but way out of my price range…I love her sweet face…and her chubby little legs. Ilm have to be content with my Navi and Bailey…
Thanks Barbara,
Blessings, Jeanne
