Bailey is exhausted after trying on her dress time and time again to get things right… what color thread for the flowers on the front, where to mark for the hem, how tight should the elastic be for her pantalettes, how long should they be, what shoes should she wear with this, what kind of hair accessory matched the dress best, BUT in all that, you know what the best part was??? She discovered THE DOLLY TOY BOX and had a blast in it… She was practically swimming in bears and bunnies and puppies and kitties, and finally decided on this sweet little aqua bear to match her dress.
I’ll just do a picture show so you can see that I really did remember how to sew after being away for so long! It’s going to take more than 23 days to make me forget how to sew fun little dresses for my dolls! :o)
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend!
See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne
Bailey looks quite pleased with her new outfit, and she is loving that little bear! I like the old-fashioned button-boots–somehow they look just right with the cute pantalettes! I love the embroidery on her dress, too. I was kind of hoping for a bow for her hair, but now, seeing it all done, the hat was a better choice, I think. Her bobbed hair shows it off nicely.
Oh Bailey, what a cutie! You’re a natural model. Love your photo shoot, especially the one sitting on the chest holding your bear. Hope the bunny hides lots of eggs for you tomorrow and maybe brings a chocolate bunny too. Have fun. 🙂
Joy, I was in a hurry the other day and forgot to mention how much I love your Amanda. And her little outfit is the cutest. Where did you find it?
Amanda thanks you. Found the outfit on the Meadow FB advertisers.
She’s so adorable!
Happy Easter to you and all your family of humans and dolls ???
I had the grandkids yesterday, they were off for Good Friday, so I didn’t get to comment so I’ll combine comments today. So good to see you back to sewing, Jeanne. I know it is therapeutic for me and I’m sure it is for you. What an adorable dress and I love the embroidery at the waist. When I get my Lolla she and Sofie should be able to share clothes – or have their own if they have a preference. I’ve already decided they will share a wardrobe box. Bailey’s bear is the perfect finishing touch to her outfit.
You’ve got a real winner in Bailey. She is the cutest. But I kept looking at her picture and she reminded me so much of someone I know. It finally came to me that she looks exactly like the lady who stands next to me in Chorale. Mary has dark hair but she cuts it exactly like Bailey’s. But it’s the facial expression that really got me. They both have the same shaped eyes and mouth.
Have you told Bailey that she is going to have to say good-bye to her lovely ensemble at some point? Probably not, she’s still smiling. But that’s the price one pays for doing a modeling gig. Your clothes always belong to someone else.
Happy Easter to everyone! Can’t wait to see my grandkids tomorrow in their Easter finery and hunting for eggs during the church egg hunt.
Bailey looks adorable and I love her outfit especially the lace around her waist.
Have a restful and pleasant Easter.
Isn”t Bailey the cutest little thing, Jeanne? She also reminds me of——the Campbell Soup Kids, with the red hair and winsome smile! Mmmmm, good!
Her pretty dress and cute muffin top hat fit her to a “T”! I too, love that picture of her sitting on the bench and holding her little bear, so sweet! I think the beaded embroidery on the bodice was just enough for decoration without going overboard.
What a glorious spring day we are having, and will have tomorrow! The Easter bunny will have no trouble hiding those eggs outside! We will be going to our daughter’s for an Easter egg hunt and treats for the grandchildren, keeping it simple! I wish you a very blessed Easter, Jeanne, and to all the ladies who are a part of the blog family!
