I built something… how’s this for a few hints?

I was feeling “crafty” and decided to take an afternoon and piddle around with some wood… I know I shouldn’t have… but this is what I came up with: Oh, I forgot, I’m not showing you the whole thing yet… just a few hints. You’ll see it soon…

Have a happy Saturday!
See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne

That would be my guess, too–a bed! And, of course, once the bed is made, you’ll need to make some bedding…..

    1. HI Charlotte,
Well, I guess you’ll have to wait and see too.
I wouldn’t want to spoil it for the others… :o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Oh yes, a bed! Your smallest dolls need a bed! Are we going to see some nighties and pj’s for them?
Have fun in Kentucky! We lived at Fort Knox for a time early in our marriage, our daughter went to college (Bellarmine) in Louisville and married there too. so we have been back and forth quite a few times.

    1. HI Linda,
We are already on our way home from Kentucky. It was too short of a visit. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ (

You’ll have to wait along with the others. :o)
      Thanks Linda,

  3. Without peeking ahead, I thought with the first photo, maybe a display board for tiny panties/slips? Then I saw the wooden people, well they look like chess pieces, and spacers which were a little over 2″ and decided it could only be a bed. Then the 5×7 plaque which is pretty small, so it would have to be for Twinkles. And of course, the last photo gave it away. What a wonderful idea. The first photo did not look at all like it would be thick enough for a headboard, but the last does. Guess we’ll tune in on Monday to see how you cut the frame down to size and attached it. I’m sure mine would fall apart, but I would love to know how Miss Crafty made hers. My Twinkles took a peek and are quite delighted.
Been seeing some wonderful Twinkles at the Lyon France Doll show and a new sculpt for the Dumplings too. Must collect more dolly dollars.
And A Girl For All Time, Bex has arrived here and is demanding something new to wear. I told her I was going to try to make a slip next week for her, so she smiled. My trip to Joann’s yielded a lot of stuff and questions too, but it was fun. ๐Ÿ™‚
Hope you find some antique/thrift stores and fabric stores too on your trip.

    1. HI Joy,
Yes, you’ll have to be patient for Monday… sorry… those Twinkles sure are fun, aren’t they?
I’ve seen a few new dolls too, and just saw the one Charles put up for sale on Meadow doll fan club…a blonde Niccolina sweetie.

I hope you make something new for Bex. And no…there were no antique, thrift stores or fabric store for me this time…we’re heading home now and I guess I’ve saved some dollars for dollies or something…
We had a nice time at a bird show…learned a lot and bought one new bird and sold the two we took.
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. Ah ha, you saw Charlene’s Dumpling postings. Did you see the red head Niccolina? Think you will like her. I do. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
And of all things, a bird show! I would probably have liked it as we always have to visit the chickens when fair time rolls around. So many varieties.

        1. Hi Joy,
Yes, a bird show! There were over 4000 birds there…it was insane! There were 170 Old German Owls… we came home with a new hen and sold the 2 we took to an Amish man… :o)

  4. What a great idea – you are so cleaver. Can’t wait to see the precious bed all made up with Jeanne Marie originals!
Wishing you all a great weekend.

    1. Well Leigh,
I didn’t actually say it was a bed…but you can find out Monday! :o)
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. My guess is either a daybed or a settee. I really like the filigree piece. I’m sure it’s very pretty.

    1. HI Laura,
I hate to make you wait till Monday, but I guess I better since I didn’t tell anyone else.. I think I may have given too much of a hint! ;o)
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Hi Jeanne I think you are making a bed and what a fun tease you are. Can’t wait to joint the sew along for slips. That will be a fun activity. Your slips are so pretty. Next week will really be fun what with finding out what our secret project is and the sew along.

    1. HI Carole,
Nothing like having to wait for something is there? I’m glad you are excited about the slip making… me too!
      See you next week!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. I was thinking a wardrobe until I saw the fabric. The filigree would make a nice top for a wardrobe. But bed wins. Maybe a bench, though, with a cushion. Iโ€™m not giving up. Ha, ha.

  8. Like the others my guess is a bed but I could be wrong. So far it looks sweet.

The bird show must have been amazing. I use to have Zebra Finch and love them except for the mess of the feathers. The owls must have been amazing. I have one in my back yard and love to hear his daily chatting. Waiting until Monday.

    1. HI Sandra,
It IS very sweet and soon you’ll see what it is!
I know what Zebra Finches look like and they are so sweet…
It was interesting to see all the different kinds of pigeons there at the show… everything from doves, to Modena’s, to Fantails, to Old German Owls, to racing homers, a little bit of every kind was there. My hubby had a really nice time… me too…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Here it is, Sunday, and your current auction is over tomorrow night. Kirsten is a lovely model.
The craft project looks like a bed to me too, but Susette’s suggestion that a matching wardrobe would be nice is a lovely one. The weather has been lovely here and I’ve got my trick-or-treat candy ready, but the 31st is often suddenly cold and rain or snow is predicted. Maybe it will wait a day and give the kids a chance to collect their treats.
The sew-along is such a nice idea — a treat for us.
I missed yesterday, or the day before, now. The bird show with 4000 birds sounds amazing. I’m glad you went and I hope you’ll get a chance to go back for shopping before it gets cold.
For now, stay warm and find the time to finish the mysterious project.

    1. HI Marilyn,
Yes, it’s Sunday night now and I just found a few more comments… and thought I better answer them. You’ll see Monday morning what I made… I think my hint was too obvious! :o)

We are supposed to have rain Wednesday evening so it’s going to be pretty soggy around here too.

We had a fun time at the bird show… my hubby especially! He needed something fun to go to and be excited about… he’s been sort of blue I guess you’d say… reality, you know…
      It’s hard for him…

      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne
