My Meadow doll, Navi, in her debut dress…

Just a note again, until everyone is getting the posts from me on the right day. You should be reading this on Friday. That’s when it’s supposed to be sent to your email… Yesterday there was some hope that things have taken a turn for the better, in that lots of ladies commented and emailed me that they had received the post on the right day and at the right time! YAY is all I can say right now!

The second thing I can say YAY about is I have a new dress set made for Navi…tiny little Navi, I might add. I’m sorry, but I just couldn’t resist making something for her. This little 6 1/2″ girl is so adorable and I think she’s going to make a really sweet model.

If you missed her coming out of her box, you can see that post HERE.

The blue dress I made for her was my first attempt for her size body and my pattern turned out pretty accurately. So did her shoes…first time…and they fit wonderfully! So let me show you a few of my pictures.

After making the dress set, I thought maybe it was a bit too summery, so I decided to add a little jacket out of the same rose colored Ultrasuede that I made her shoes from.

I have it listed on the My Meadow Fan Club forum, but if anyone on here is interested, you can leave me a comment below or use the Contact Me tab a the top of my blog and email me. The price is $75 plus shipping to where you live.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Navi’s new dress.

If you’d like to see more of the My Meadow dolls, you can check out her website HERE. Meadow dolls is a mother daughter team from Sweden. Miroslava and her daughter Mjusi customize many of the dolls. I found a little bio on them and thought you might like to read it…

“I live in Sweden but I’m originally from the Czech Republic. I have lived here for 33 years so maybe I’m more Swedish than Czech now but I don’t know. I have 7 children, a part time job to pay the bills and making my BJD dolls as a hobby so far. I work together with my daughter Mjusi. She paints sculpts and helps with lots of feedback on the work My most doll making are BJD. Blythe I do as relaxation and for fun. I began with them 2014 but I take pauses often because the BJD girls are craving attention. I just love how different they can be and how fast the new trends spread around in this hobby. I don’t think I can define my self as person or customizer. The reason why I choose my name is also that I can’t stuck with just one style too long. So I choose meadow because the flowers there are so different and you never know which one will be dominating next season. you can just be sure they will flower and it will be pretty. My dolls tend to be cute and happy but not always.”

At the top of her website are the different sized dolls… Navi is from the “Twinkles” group.

See you tomorrow, (by a “scheduled post!” I hope it works!)
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Cute Cute Cute!
Wonderful tiny doll dressing. Navi looks wonderful, will you change her name? Great hair dressing too.
Post came in bang on time. Yay.
    Have a great time.

    1. HI Jane,
I will probably leave her name Navi. I guess that’s probably a Swedish name given to her by Miroslava.
You made my morning by saying your post arrived just like it was supposed to!!
      Thanks Jane,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Charlotte Trayer

My post came in a timely manner today, also! Yay! After missing a couple of posts and having to play “catch-up”, I hope this is finally resolved!

Navi’s new outfit is just adorable. My goodness, she has tiny feet! Her little shoes are wonderful, too!

    1. HI Charlotte,
Yay…2 for 2 on getting the posts today!!
I’m glad you like Navi”s new dress set. I wonder if I’d get a blue ribbon for it ???
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Wow, your post for today is here, and it’s TODAY, Sept. 7th! Things are sure looking up, aren’t they, Jeanne?
What a sweet little outfit for Navi—and I do mean little! I would be all thumbs sewing for tiny dolls like that, but you make it look easy! It seems like I have seen that material somewhere in another dress you have made. That lace is just perfect for the dress too, and seems like it is custom-made for it! I can’t get over how tiny her little shoes are, you certainly do work miracles!
We ARE supposed to get rain this weekend, you know, but don’t let that bother you! Have fun, and maybe you will see a rainbow—or two!

    1. HI Linda,
OH triple YAY!!! Now 3 for 3….it’s a good thing!!!
I couldn’t believe how well that vintage lace went with this dress either. I made a dress from this fabric and Emmie modeled it. I made a pink jacket to go with hers too! That’s where you saw this fabric.
We’ve already hit the rain. On our way through Nashville we could barely see the road. It was still dark this morning and the rain and the glare of everyone’s headlights made driving in it pretty stressful. Then it cleared up a little bit past Okawville. Now it’s daylight and MUCH BETTER!!
We are just about to St Louis now…we just saw the Arch…
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. This one arrived on the right day! I love your Navi outfit! I have been making hankie dresses for her, so tiny! They fit Tiny Riley as well.
Going to Atlanta for the weekend to celebrate Peyton’s 80th and his youngest brother’s 70th. Getting ready to leave for MDCC next week.

    1. Thank you Sissy,
I’ve always wanted to try one of those hankie dresses. They always turn out so sweet.
I’m glad your post arrived just fine too.

I hope you have a nice weekend too! And then on to MDCC…I know you’ll have fun there!!
      Thanks Sissy,
      Blessings,
      Jeanne

  5. What a wonderfully complete outfit! And Navi is so tiny and cute. You sure whipped out this whole ensemble very quickly.

I didn’t get an email but I have idreamofjeannemarie.com in my Favorites Bar on AOL, clicked on it and today’s post did show up which is an improvement.

Happy Anniversary! Have a wonderful trip and continued good news for George. Safe travels.

    1. HI Susette,
Navi”s dress set did come together pretty quickly…it was fun sewing for a new little doll again.
I think most people have started getting the posts again like they are supposed to…hopefully you will too.
Thank you for your prayers Susette! We do hope for a good report and then we can REALLY enjoy the weekend.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Navi is such a cutie and her outfit is so sweet. I can’t image making those tiny shoes.
Wishing you and George all the best today on all fronts. Happy Anniversary and many, many more.
    God Bless

PS: no post received today :o( – maybe tomorrow

    1. HI Leigh…
Oh no…no post? I hope yours comes tomorrow.
Thank you for your kind compliments on Navi and her dress. It’s kind of a challenge to make something so tiny, but I seem to like challenges.
My hubby is getting the CAT scan done right now…
      Thank you Leigh,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. It’s 7:02AM Friday, and I received your post, I Dream of Jeanne Marie, dated Thurs. Sept 6 -11:00PM. But, I did not receive the second one that always says just Jeanne as the title. So, maybe something has happened to eliminate the other one. Either way, yay, I have your post in my email on the right day. 🙂
Glad you made it safely to St. Louis in the rain. Hope the scan etc. goes well and the rest of the trip is more enjoyable.
Navi is adorable and her outfit perfect for her. For some reason, I have never seen the bio on Miroslava. I knew that her daughter painted, but not that she was originally from the Czech Republic. My daughter’s best friend growing up spoke Czech and her parents emigrated here some time before she was born. I thought Miro (Meadow) was maybe from Russia. So that is my new fact for the day. Thanks.
We almost can’t believe it, but there is another huge wildfire in northern CA. They just seem to get one under control when there is another. This one has shut down the major north south highway between CA and Oregon, and is burning out of control in the forest area. There is another in the mid sierra that has been burning for a few days, but it is in steep canyons on the American River and is burning more slowly. That one is only a few miles from our cabin as the crow flies, but hopefully will stay a few mountain ranges away.
Hope your weekend visit is enjoyable and you have some shopping time.

    1. HI Joy,
Things are looking up as far as the posts go! I am very happy!!
We have a 3 hour wait until the Dr appointment. We are both SO sleepy. We are sitting in the hospital lobby waiting with each of taking turns closing our wyes. We didn’t get enough sleep last night…something was up with Reuben…he started barking just as we “finally” got to bed at 11:00…George thought he was hungry…so he fed him…then he started barking again…so he took him out to go potty…then he was barking because he wanted George to play with him…it was after 2:00 when he settled down…and we got up at 4:00…so we are pretty draggy…
I’m glad you enjoyed Miroslava”s bio…I thought it was pretty interesting too.

I did see the news about the fires again and instantly thought of you. I pray things settle down son. Boy, they certainly could have used the rain we ran into on the way here this morning. It was pretty insane…
      Thanks, Jeanne

  8. Dear Jeanne, I love Navi’s outfit! I just don’t know how you can make such little things. And you made the shoes too! That is incredible.

Have a wonderful celebration and travel safely.

    1. Thanks Dorothy,
I guess when you love to sew as much as I do, it doesn’t matter the size…she’s small but it was fun to create something for her. I love her dress set…in person you just want to walk around with her in your hand…
      Thanks Dorothy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Well I’m gonna rain on your parade a bit… 🙂 No emails since Thursday 8/6/18 at 5:03 a.m., and it was for Wednesday’s post. As usual, I just access you thru my bookmark. Maybe in my case it’s an issue with actual “New” subscribers? I just officially subscribed on 9/2/18.

Navi is very sweet, and since I don’t sew at all, it always amazes me how fast you can whip out a complete outfit! I’m wondering if she is very similar in size to Ten Ping’s little sister, Yu Ping. I just measured my Yu Ping, and she is right around 6″ tall.

    1. HI Theresa,
I am so sorry your posts aren’t being delivered on time and on the right day like everyone elses. Don’t give up…I’ll figure out what’s wrong and we’ll get it straightened out…
Thank you for your kind compliments on Navi’s dress set. When things go right, I am a pretty quick dress maker…
Thanks so much…I hope you get tomorrow’s post…it will be dated Saturday, September 8th…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. Hi, Jeanne. I am letting you know that I received this post on Friday. Previously, I would receive two posts. One a day late and the other was just plain wonky. It would come at any strange time and the font was HUGE. Pictures were HUGE. The post I received today, Friday, was perfect.
The dress for Navi is perfect too ! A sweet floral in blue with pink flowers, a darling jacket and shoes to match. Couldn’t be better. Your Navi with the red wig is absolutely darling. I have Chara, who I named Trixie Belle Twinkle. Do you remember the Trixie Belden books from your girlhood? I sure do and I loved them more than Nancy Drew.
I was happy to read the Meadows story. Very busy ladies and very gracious I am told.
I will send you an email with a Jack update.
Please pray for my precious, Jack.

    1. HI Jeannie,
I am starting to think the kinks on my blog are getting fewer and fewer…which makes me really happy!!! A few ladies are still having troubles but I’m sure we can figure out what the problem is… thank goodness it’s getting solved!!
Thank you for your kind words about Navi…I just love her and I bet you love Chara… they are so dainty and fun to pose…I just love holding Navi in my hand…
I did get your email about your dear hubby and I will try to answer it tomorrow. We are at my sister in laws house and she’s keeping us busy…
I will go to sleep tonight with prayers on my lips for your sweetheart…
      Love you Jeannie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  11. I checked earlier and didn’t find today’s entry but it’s available now, and worth waiting for.
The rain sounds pretty bad, but it is the edge of a hurricane, isn’t it? How I wish you could send it to the fires in California. We are having calm sunshine, which is nice after the clouds of the last few days.
The new outfit is so cute I hope Navi would be able to keep it, but I suppose she has to pay for herself first. Good luck to her — may this be the first of many successful outfits.

    1. Thanks Marilyn,
Thanks for letting me know about your blog post story… I hope a week from now this will all be a distant memory…ONE I hope to forget!

Yep…Navi has to give up her dress if she wants to model more…which may be sooner than she thinks!!!

The rain is supposed to be 100% tomorrow…but Gloria has some inside jobs for George, so that works out great!!! She made a homemade blackberry cobbler for dessert tonight… it was worth the drive here just for that!!!
      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  12. That was some super fast sewing. I expected you to put Rebecca’s outfit aside and sew up one for your newest girl. I think it would be very difficult to sew on something that tiny, but apparently not. Her whole outfit is so cute and I love her snuggling with her puppy.
I received today’s post on time as well. Those little dolls are very cute. I must say I am kind of surprised they are so expensive for the size. For you it doesn’t matter since in just a few outfits a doll pays for herself.
We’ve gotten some rain here as well, which is good. The all horse parade to kick off fair week is Sunday, so hopefully it won’t rain then.

    1. HI Laura,
I’m glad the posts are arriving at your house like they are supposed to!!!
It’s hard NOT to sew for a new doll when she comes, and Navi just had to get something new… it can sometimes be a challenge to sew for such little dolls, but I love to see such tiny dresses on the dolls. I never dreamed 2 months ago I’d own one of the little cuties, but I’m so glad I do now…
I know they are pretty expensive but hopefully someone like me, who sews for the dolls, can pay for them pretty quickly…at least that’s the plan !! :o)
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  13. It’s Saturday, around 6 am and the Saturday post is not showing up for me. I’ll check in later and it will probably be there.
