Just a little Saturday “Navi” tease…

This is my post for Saturday and I hope you get it on Saturday, because I have some GREAT news! My hubby had his CT scan on Friday and the doctor told us there was NO cancer found anywhere in his body!! We were so blessed by this news and wanted to thank the Lord as publically as I know how…on this blog. I’m sure I’ve told you before when you see capital letters, it means youre excited and maybe even screaming!! Well, here goes!!! THANK YOU LORD FOR HAVING MERCY ON MY HUBBY AND GIVING US SUCH A WONDERFUL REPORT! WE CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!

I also got the last 4 or 5 comments answered late last night…

This really isn’t much and I’m hoping that scheduling this post doesn’t mess up anything. I think that’s what started all the posts going haywire!!! I’m out of town but wanted to share just a few little snippets of Navi’s next dress set. I was trying to perfect my shoe pattern and my jacket and dress pattern before I forgot what needed tweaking. You’re going to say, “Seriously is that all she can show us?” I know you are! But yes, I’ve got to keep this one under wraps, it’s just too cute to give away too much!

So here are 3 clues for Navi’s next dress… and when I get back home, I’ll get Rebecca’s Civil War dress set finished.

I see a little thread that needs to be pulled down in one of the buttons… and my pictures aren’t quite the right color… Just think FALL!

I hope you have a great weekend… I plan to! :o)

See you (hopefully) Monday morning!
Blessings, Jeanne

God is so good!! Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful news!!

As you see, I got your blog email in a timely manner again tonight–hooray! The new outfit for Navi is looking pretty cute!!

In other news: I got my first Boneka doll yesterday!! She’s the little Indonesion girl being sold on the UFDC website. https://www.ufdc.org/product/an-indonesian-fantasy/ if anyone is interested. I may decide to get her a different wig, and then I need to figure out patterns for her!

    1. HI Charlotte,
Yes, God is good!!! He has been VERY good to us!!
Your new Boneka doll is wonderfully sweet! I think a new wig would really enhance her looks. I’m not for sure which “child” she is…
      Congratulations!!! You will love her!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Oh my goodness, I can’t even imagine how joyful and thankful, and bursting with happiness you must feel, Jeanne! God is really good, isn’t He? I can even imagine you doing summersaults and cartwheels! Well, don’t try THAT, but I am sure you would if you could! So happy for the two of you!
That is a darling outfit for Navi, and yes, it says FALL!
The rain has started here, later than they were forecasting, but boy, when it came, it poured sheets and buckets full! It has been raining all night, and still is this morning. I don’t know how things are in Alton, but here in South County, it is very wet! I wish we could send some of this to Joy in California to fight those fires, since we sure are getting dumped on!
I hope you get to visit those fabric shops today, but tomorrow is supposed to be better and not so wet.
Congrats on your new doll, Charlotte!

    1. HI Linda,
You have no idea how relieved and thrilled we were. I almost fell off the chair…when we were leaving I gave his doctor a great big hug!!! I used to be the queen of cartwheels…not anymore…
It has been raining here in Akron off and on, but the temps and breeze are wonderful…68 degrees!
We are working on electrical stuff and have Gloria house a wreck… but she’s happy it’s getting done…
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. What fantastic news about the absence of any cancer in George’s body. I cannot imagine the joy you both feel. Our God is great and am so glad to hear this news.

Your little Navi looks oh so cute in her blue/pink outfit as well as this pretty outfit for autumn. You dress your dolls so beautifully, Jeanne.

This particular blog posting DID reach my e-mail box today (the 8th)..so, another report of good news. I never got the previous day’s e-mail in my inbox but happily saw it on your blog here….so, I’m assuming your posts will now start coming as you’ve posted them.

Thank you so much for caring for each and every one of us, Jeanne. You’re a precious woman.

    Blessings.

    1. HI Becky,
Yes, isn’t it wonderful news… I just told my mom and she started crying so hard she couldn’t talk…
I wanted to show Navi’s new Fall dress set, but need to make her a hat…so I decided on the tease… :o)
I’m glad my posts are getting somewhat straightened out. It’s been a little disheartening for me and those not receiving them…
      Thank you Becky,
      Blessings to you, Jeanne

  5. Well, congrats on the great news! I’ll bet you and George were on cloud 9.
The hints of the new fall dress for Navi are tantalizing. Isn’t she a great model? Sew sweet. 🙂

Thanks Linda for offering your deluge of rain to us out here. That would be wonderful. Guess we had better start stringing together hoses. We have not had any rain in months.

Congrats to Charlotte on the new Boneka. Love her size. Is she a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday mold?

    Now to the posts:
Yesterday, I received one and it was for the right day. I have been receiving two.
Today, I’m back to two posts. One for today and one for yesterday.
I’m giving you the info on how they are titled. Both differently.
    The first:
I Dream of Jeanne Marie-(New Post) Just a little Saturday “Navi” Tease. Jeanne Wiedlocher posted “This is my post for Saturday & I hope you get it on Saturday, because I have some… Posted Friday Sept.7
    The second, more recent:
Jeanne-Post for Jeanne Marie 9-8-2918 View this email in your browser I Dream of JM Dressy Clothes & Accessories for your doll. 3:03AM

So the more recent arrived this morning, a day late. Two different titles, one Jeanne and one titled I Dream of Jeanne Marie.

Hope you get in some fun time between rain storms. So happy for George.

    1. HI Joy,
I’m just loving little Navi. Sone times I’ll be doing something at my house and I’ll have to go in my sewing room and see if Navi is still as cute as she was the last time I looked at her. She always is…
Thanks for telling me about your posts…I’ll pass it along…
The weather has cooled off and we are enjoying it…but I really do wish we could send all our rain to you!!
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    2. Charlotte Trayer

Joy, she’s a Tuesday’s Child (it’s incised at the base of her head!). When looking, I also discovered she came with a silicone wig cap, so I can easily change wigs. Yippee!! Now to make her something new–her Indonesian outfit is very pretty, but she’d like something that would “match” her big sisters’ clothes!

  6. Congratulations on the amazing report for George!!
God is great! Continued prayers for his health ?❤️
I’m so thrilled for you and Navi., such a sweet love affair. You’ve perfected your basic bodice and now you two are ready for creative fun!!
I heard that Meadow is coming out with a Giggi Twinkles… hope i can resist her! It was hard enough not to buy Navi because of her tiny size.. I may succumb on Giggi:)

    1. Thank you Shara,
We are truly blessed and so grateful. It’s such a wonderful feeling!!!
We were walking in the hospital yesterday and my hubby reached for my hand…I told him I liked it when he did that…he said, “even after 37 years?” I told him yes…then I said I hoped we’d have 37 more years together… then I said, “oh wait…I’ll be 99 years old…will you still reach for my hand?” He said he hoped so.

Your comment about my love affair with Navi made me think of that…

I saw a picture of Giggi as a twinkle on the Fan Club site somewhere… she is a cutie!!!
      Thanks Shara,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Wonderful news!!!! It has been a long road for both of you. I’m so glad that this is the result.
Navi’s outfit looks beautiful. I love autumnal colors.
I never received a post yesterday (Friday) but I did receive today’s post today!! Woohoo!! I hope they continue.
With your good news I am sure you will have a great day!
    Take care —

    1. HI Charlotte,
We certainly got the result we were hoping for…
You’ll really like Navi”s set when you see it all finished…
We’ve been working on electrical stuff all day…and still not finished!
Thanks for telling me what’s going on with your posts…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. I along with others praise God for his abounding mercies towards George. May George feel God’s presence and blessing. We continue to pray for positive results.
I love the new outfit, what I can see of it 🙂 It sure does look like a taste of fall
I did receive my Saturday post today! I previously had to wait a day until they arrived. I also did not receive yesterday’s post, but can go back to find that one.
    Blessings

    1. Thank you Lynn for your prayers and encouragement all these months we’ve been in this battle!!!
I can’t wait to show the whole set to everyone…

Well, the posts are getting better but not totally quite right…maybe soon…
      Thank you Lynn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Dear Jeanne – Oh what wonderful news for you and George! To read those words that there was NO cancer anywhere in his body is truly remarkable. Thanking god for his healing and blessings over you and your family.

Can’t wait to see the rest of Navi’s outfit – you teaser! I can tell the colors are going to be absolutely gorgeous on her.

I know you are going to have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thank you Leigh…we still have a smile on our faces… the Lord truly has blessed us more than we ever deserved!!!
The colors are VERY pretty on Navi…she has a very beautiful complexion…peaches and cream…
We are having a very nice time with Gloria!!!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. Whoo Hoo! Great test results Thank you Jesus and your medical team and those of us who have sent countless prayers for you and George. What a wonderful day you must have had! I’ll bet you are both still smiling!
The fall colors in that sneak peek are great as are the sweet little felt flowers!
I received your blog today…right on time. ?

    1. HI Kathie,
We just finished cleaning up our mess from the electrical jobs…but we had a bowl of ice cream at 11:45p.m.
We ARE still smiling at our wonderful news!!! Thank you for YOUR prayers….God is so good!!

I hope to get Navi’s dress set finished soon…but probably not by Monday morning…
We are leaving Gloria”s around 2:00 Sunday afternoon…I’m already sad…
      Thanks so much, Kathie

  11. I’m so so happy for you and George. God is good and always watches out for His children. What wonderful news !!!?

The hints in Navi’s dress is absolutely perfect for fall in what color I can see ! Love fall colors.
Hope you are enjoying your time with Gloria. May you have a lovely blessed time there!!

    1. HI Paula,
Yes, the Lord has been especially kind to us this year…it’s been difficult, but He has been faithful…
      I can’t wait to show Navi”s dress set all completed… soon…
We’ve had a great time here…working and laughing and laughing while we worked.
      Thanks Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  12. Dear Jeanne,
Oh my goodness, hallelujah!!! Your celebration this weekend has now tripled in magnitude! This is the most wonderful news.

Now about Navi’s outfit. I love a good mystery. Hmmmmmm. It looks like a Fall outfit of some kind. I can’t wait to see more.

Have a blessed and joyful weekend!

    1. HI Dorothy,
We are still celebrating and it feels so wonderful to get such good news. Thanks so much.
Hopefully Navi’s dress set won’t be a mystery too much longer. I can’t wait for everyone to see her in it.
      Our weekend has been great!!!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  13. Excellent news for you and George. You must be feeling truly blessed. What a turbulent year you have had, I hope it is all calm sailing now.
I wasn’t going to comment when your blog came in (my 6pm Saturday) because I don’t much like ‘going’ first. But today I just have to comment.
Did you bravely take the plaits down on Navi’s ‘Lucky’ wig or is that another wig?
I love the Autumn colours of Navi’s outfit. I’m going to hazard a guess and say I think it is a tiny jumpsuit, even though that’s not your usual style.
    Can’t wait to see it.
Keep the thankful joy in your heart, cartwheels in your mind’s eye and enjoy the day.

    1. HI Jane,
Boy, we could use some calm sailing from now on!! I hope all the rough stuff is over!!!

I didn’t take down those cute little braided buns on Navi’s Lucky wig… the one in my picture is another wig I had called a Kanawild wig and I wanted to see if it might work…it’s a little big but I might be able to make it smaller somehow.
I will keep my thankful heart full of thankful thoughts!!
Thank you Jane….and it’s okay to be “first!”
      Blessings, Jeanne

  14. What joyful news!! Praise God ! I’m sure you will be celebrating for the foreseeable future.
Such a cute little outfit Navi is wearing. The autumn colors really set off her red hair. I’m going to say it’s a jumpsuit as well and I bet she will have some tiny pumpkins as accessories.
I received today’s post as well

    1. What size is the Indonesian fantasy doll? I think she’s quite beautiful and am looking forward to photos.

Wow! this is a whole new way for the blog to misbehave. I responded to Charlotte right below your response. When I came to the end of the comments, where is I usually add mine, there was no space for adding a comment, so I cleverly clicked Reply after Laura’s post, which was the last one, and my reply to Charlotte came up so I could add to it. I have replied to earlier posts and then added a comment at the end several times in the past, but never had anything like this happen.

When I tried the blog this morning, I got yesterday’s blog. This afternoon I got this one.

Now to the important part — perhaps you saw this as a short post, but we saw as one of the most important posts ever posted here. One sentence would have done. NO CANCER ANYWHERE! I’m going to borrow from Dorothy in PA: Hallelujah!

When I read about the cartwheels, I thought, “Jeanne has turned cartwheels, I’ll bet.” I won that one. And your mom may have lost a lot of memory but she seems to have a good grasp of what’s important. That is such a blessing.

      Thanks for the good news.

      1. Marilyn, the Boneka doll is 10 inches. She was created by Dianna Effner. She is a baby sister to the Little Darlings (13 inches). Bonekas are adorable. I am bias though as I have four of them (chuckle). You can follow Charlotte’s link above to see the one she got. You can also do an ebay search. There are several for sale there. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about them. Just let me know.

      2. HI Marilyn,
Well, I hope you find MY comments to YOUR comments in the mess you encountered… sorry that happened…
Yes, those just might be my new 3 favorite words…NO CANCER ANYWHERE!!!
I’ve turned many a cartwheel in my day, but I do believe those days are over!!! :o)

        Thank you Marilyn,
        Blessings, Jeanne

    2. HI Laura,
I think I’ll be celebrating….FOREVER!!! Thanks for your prayers!
I’ll show Navi’s dress set as soon as I can…it’s fun to see what everyone thinks it will look like.
I do have some little pumpkins…hmmmm…
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  15. Fantastic news that you and George received. A clean bill of health is always the best outcome and I am super excited for both of you.

Navi is just way too cute. I wouldn’t be able to put her down and think if I had one I’d be carrying her everywhere with me, like a child with a new doll on Christmas morning. I am already loving her new outfit and can’t wait to see it completed. It just screams fall so I’ll bet that is the direction you are going.

Time for you and George to celebrate.

    1. HI Sandra,
Thanks so much for rejoicing over our good news…
Navi”s new set DOES scream Fall… I hope you like it when it’s finished…
I’m like you, I just want to carry her around too. She really is a little sweetheart!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  16. Well, after going back and reading all of the comments, I’m wondering if your mom may have been a cartwheeler too?? I truly believe it is in the genes. I’m a non flipper! 🙂
