I don’t mean the REAL Easter…that was yesterday and nothing can take its place, but how about the Easter post where I show doll dresses and treats for the kiddies! I couldn’t manage to get my pictures all uploaded so I showed “kitchen” stuff last week. Soooo… I thought we’d take today and look at some dolls dressed up in their finest Easter dresses. Linda and Susette and Joy will provide the eye candy for today. I’m sure you won’t mind seeing their pictures and looking over the little vignettes they created from the props they have.
It can be called our “After Easter Fashion Show” …cause who wants to miss seeing dolls dressed up?
We’ll start with Linda first… Look how sweet Ruthie, Molly and Susan look all dressed up from hats to gloves to shoes!
It looks like Linda has everything all in place on that table set for Easter. Those chocolate bunnies sure do look good!
Here is Felicity, looking beautiful as ever!
Cecile looks very lovely in pink, don’t you think?
…and last to show you their Easter dresses are Betsy McCall and Ivy. Such adorable scenes, Linda!
She also made the little race cars from the Peeps and Twinkies… I think they are so cute and I KNOW her grandkids loved them. The big bunny is named Oliver and he is the sweetest thing!
Thanks for sharing them. I ALSO heard it through the grapevine that Linda made a cake for Easter…and the name of it was Pig Lickin’ Good Cake… I’ve gotta ask…was it a hit?
Here are Susette’s girls ready for Easter in California!
I also wanted to show Susette’s little treats she made for her grandkids… and shipped them off! I showed the idea for these the other day in a Pinterest post. I think they all turned out adorable! I wish I HAD one right now! :o)
Here are Susettes “supplies” for the racecars.
It looks like tiny 8″ Ten Ping is supervising the making of the cars…Susette made her sweet printed dress too! (which is no small feat… Ten Ping is a tiny little thing!) Great job, Susette!
Susette used a container from something she bought at Costco to ship them in. It looks like a perfect fit to me!
Bunnies filled in the rest of the box. YUMMY! Those kids are going to love them!
Whoops… Ten Ping dashed outside and decided to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt on Susette’s patio garden. :o)
Last up is a picture of Joy’s 2 My Meadows girls in a sweet Easter romper…A friend of Joy’s made the rompers for Tella and Maddie and sent them to go with their new Easter shoes! Very cute! I love the carrots in the wheelbarrow. Thanks Joy!
Well, that’s a wrap for today’s “After Easter Fashion Show!” I hope you enjoyed it!
See you when I can,
Blessings, Jeanne
I guess I’m first this morning, Jeanne, and am honored to have you show my pictures! I had a lot of fun fixing up my dolls, as always and even more fun making the little Peeps Race Cars! They sure look like they are having a traffic jam in the pan there! Yes, the kids loved them and my Pig Lickin’ Good cake was quite the hit among the adults. I’m not sure if it has another more “polite” name, but it’s fun when people ask what kind of cake it is, and I tell them!
As always, Susette’s dolls are adorable and she has quite an array of darling things to show them with. I love the elegant tea set on the table, plus all the darling animals she has with them. She is such a good photographer, and her photos are always so crisp and clear! Little Ten Ping steals the show every time!
Joy’s dolls look so cute in their rompers! I think Betsy is jealous about those, and would love me to make her one too! It’s always nice to see other brands of dolls, and that is the first time I have seen My Meadows dolls.
Thank you for showing the “After Easter Fashion Show”, Jeanne! It put a spring in my step today to start the week!
Linda,
It’s always a pleasure to show your girls all dressed up in the cutest set ups!
After seeing all the comments about the My Meadows dolls, I had to Google them and look at all the different dolls. There are some really adorable ones!!!
Glad you enjoyed today’s post… thanks!
Blessings, Jeanne
I feel honored, too, to contribute to the Jeanne Marie Blog. Before I forget, though, I’d like to share a tip I got from Linda. A lady is retiring and is offering her patterns to download for $1.27 apiece at http://www.alldolledupdollclothes.com There are romper patterns like the ones on Joy’s darling dolls and many others.
I love seeing different kinds of dolls. I remember Joy’s outdoor pictures which were great. She must have the most dolls. I think Linda is the champ for scenes with all the accessories. Her beautiful collection and attention to detail are inspiring. These shared pictures are so much fun. I tried a “Jeanne Marie” with the pictures of the process, not thinking they would be published. We’ll see how the packing job went as the children will return on Tuesday and see how they fared with the snowstorm hitting WV. Nothing that couldn’t tolerate freezing but I wonder about the thaw!
About the lamb with Ten Ping: I had bought some Irish stew at Costco for St. Patrick’s Day but the lamb was sitting on the table, getting ready for Easter, and I realized it was Irish LAMB Stew. I couldn’t finish my serving and had to give all the rest of the stew away! Hope I get over that because, believe it or not, I do like lamb chops. Maybe just not with one staring at me. Thanks, Jeanne, for sharing pictures.
I you order patterns, be sure to click on APPLY next to the RETIRE code for the discount to register.
Thanks for the link to the doll patterns, Susette. Did you order some? I found myself looking at them, but haven’t ordered anything yet.
I bet even if your racecars arrived in pieces, they would still be enjoyed.
Awww…what a cute story about the little lamb…. :o)
Thanks Susette,
Blessings, Jeanne
That was a lovely day after Easter blog. I hadn’t seen the My Meadow dolls either. With joints like that, they must really be able to pose, and the joints seem like a step up in joint technology. More pictures, please. Great outfits too.
Felicity and Cecile are wearing some familiar gloves. They add a nice touch to any dressy outfit. That’s the best picture I’ve ever seen of the green dress.
The race cars are a clear hit. I love the decorated steering wheels and the chocolate tires. In fact, this is just a great set of very cheerful pictures. They’d make anyone’s day. Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn,
You should Google the My Meadows dolls like I did and see just many cute little girls there are. I was hooked for at least a half an hour. :o)
I think Felicity looks beautiful in that green dress too.
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
Loved seeing the great dolly pictures. So fun. Thank you Linda and Susette for sharing.
The race cars turned out perfectly. I offered to bring the parts to make with the kids yesterday, but the mention of Twinkies got me turned down with don’t bother, they will have had a ton of candy already. Which was true. Nothing five little ones under seven hunting for eggs on a hillside. We had a lot of fun.
The Meadow dolls are a fun group. Only problem is the long wait for them to arrive. Like many of the articulated dolls made now, after ordering, it can take up to nine months for them to be shipped. Once the blanks are made in the factory, they can have a standard factory faceup, like my Maddie or be specially painted by artists as was Tella, then they have to be shipped to the U.S. They do come with eyes which you must place in position upon arrival. Their heads come apart and are held with magnets. Wigs are also an extra you can purchase from many manufacturers. Maddie/Tella are from the Dumplings group and are about 10″. Meadow also has some smaller girls/boys and larger ones too. Saffi who is 18″ is an adorable toddler and can wear some of the AG clothing and shoes. My girls are pretty hard to fit as they have, how can I say it politely, large bottoms. 🙂 They do well in dresses, smocks, and the full rompers they are wearing. If you go to Meadow’s website, you can see all of her dolls. The dumpling size isn’t up for preorder right now, but I’m sure it will be in a few months. http://meadowdolls.com/meadowdolls/
Thanks Jeanne for sharing the fun photos. Hope you had a nice family Easter. Any plans to work on painting the cabinets this week? I noticed the various test whites painted on the old cabinets. Any decisions? I’ve seen a lot of two color cabinets lately. I liked that darker maybe greige I saw. I wonder what that would look like on the bottom cabinets and a white on the top ones? Can’t wait to see what you decide because everything you have done so far is perfect. Don’t work too hard.
Hi Joy,
Apparently Twinkles don’t have the draw they used to. Maybe you can try them again sometime.
I just was telling Marilyn how I spent a,long time looking at the My Meadows dolls. They really are adorable. Do you know which dolls are more popular…the 10″ ones or the 18″ ones? I think Saffi has the cutest sad face and I love her in the sunkissed skin tone. I’m so glad you shared them with us. I think we all enjoyed seeing them.
Cindy was talking to me about two toned cabinets too…guess what I found myself checking out on Pinterest today????
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
It’s a hard call on which of the Meadow’s are most popular. I’m on Meadow’s facebook group and there are tons of posts on all of the dolls, but the Dumplings 10″ are popular and what everyone calls Big Saffi who is 18″. There is also a Dumpling size Saffi. The dolls occasionally come up on Ebay and often there are sales by members trading around on the facebook site. I’m having fun figuring out how to pose them with all of their joints. 🙂
I was thinking about your paint/cabinets again. Painting the bottom group that greige or whatever you choose, may help with smudges from darling pet pup Reuben. When our kitty was still in the picture, I was forever wiping the corners of the cabinets to rid them of kitty rubs. We have white for all.
That was really a fun post. Darling Easter scenes for everyone’s cute dolls. I don’t think I have ever seen the My Meadows dolls. Where have I been? Who makes them? Oh…I see the link so will need to go look. Such sweet chubby faces!
Hope all goes well this week!
Hi Kathie,
If you haven’t Googled the My Meadows dolls yet, just wait till you see a whole bunch of them together. They are very adorable and really do have the cutest faces ever.
Glad you enjoyed today’s post.
Blessings, Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
Happy belated Easter. I pray you and the family had a blessed and enjoyable day together. It was a very quiet day here. Just my daughter, her hubby, the baby, my hubby and myself. This is the first year my parents didn’t feel like coming over. Kind of sad but my grand baby was very entertaining so the day was filled with smiles and blessings.
A few Easters ago we had 23 people here. The family continues to grow now parties have to wait until Summer so we can spread out into the back yard.
The photo’s the ladies sent are all so cute, so much to look at! I love seeing every ones dolls all dressed up. Thank you ladies and Jeanne for sharing!
May God wrap his loving arms around you and George as you face a difficult week ahead. Continued prayers.
Hugs
Ingrid
Hi Ingrid,
We did have a very nice Easter Sunday and it sounds like you did too. It’s always fun when a new baby gets to be the center of attention.
Thanks so much for your continued prayers.
Blessings, Jeanne
Dear Jeanne, what lovely photographs. These little ladies sure know how to have Easter fun!
Hi Dorothy,
It’s always fun to show the dolls in all their glory. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the pictures today.
Thanks Dorothy,
Blessings, Jeanne
I am certainly enjoying the pictures of Susette’s and Linda’s and Joy’s dolls dressed up and enjoying their Easter. Pretty dolls wearing such pretty dresses. I didn’t manage to get all my dolls redressed for Easter. I got a few done, but there are a couple still wearing their Christmas dresses. It looks like a pretty mixed up crew! I did manage to get some Easter baskets put together for the grandkids, and the four-year old told me everything in his basket was stuff he really needed! I’m still laughing about that.
Hi Carolyn,
It’s okay that you didn’t get all of your dolls dressed for Easter…at least they had “something” on…mine are standing nude on the dolly shelf. Just think of the ones in Christmas dresses as a big head start on the holidays!!
You did the important thing in getting the Easter Baskets filled!!! …especially the one with all that “needed” stuff! :o)
Thanks Carolyn,
Blessings, Jeanne
What sweet pictures are shared today. I enjoyed seeing all the scenes. Wow, Linda, I am constantly amazed at all the scenes you manage to set up. Love your bunny, Oliver. I have an Oliver as well, but Ollie is a real black kitty instead.
Kit and Josefina are certainly having a great time, Susette, what with all the pets and treats, how can they not? It great both Linda and you managed to make the Peeps race cars. They turned out so cute.
I like your chubby cheeked dolls, Joy. The minute I saw the one on the right I thought of Mountie from the TV series “Christy”.
Enjoyed all the scenes as my dolls are just standing on the bookcase. I haven’t had any time to set up anything or redress a doll in months due to business with family and pet care, but that’s okay, so I live vicariously through other’s scenes.
Hi Laura,
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing all the pictures today. It’s just as much fun for me to put them together too.
It seems that both your and my dolls are just biding their time on the doll shelf. There’ll be time for dressing and playing with them later…that’s what I’m holding onto.
Thanks Laura,
Blessings, Jeanne
