Before today’s post, I just wanted to remind you of my dress set on Ebay for the Little Darlings. It ends Monday evening and I’ll send it our right away so you’ll get it in time for Easter. If you missed it, you can see it HERE… or click the picture at the right! Emmie has enjoyed her time in my light tent all week! :o)

What fun, Jeanne! I could go for some of those “alternative carrots” (Cheetos) right now! LOL
I love the Peeps in the Twinkies car….I’m not a Twinkies fan, but I sure do love my Peeps! I have several boxes of them downstairs right now, just waiting for the time to put them out with our Easter baskets!
As to that fruit “bunny”–well, perhaps some people just have way too much time on their hands!! LOL It’s cute, but I can’t see myself doing something that elaborate.
May God richly bless you and George as you prepare for Resurrection Sunday, and for all the upcoming medical stuff, too.
HI Charlotte,
I’m glad you enjoyed the pins from today’s post. It looks like the Peeps cars were the biggest hit with everyone on here! But I’m like you…. Give me CHEETOS any day!!! :o)
Thanks Charlotte,
Blessings, Jeanne
Lots of fun and cute ideas for Easter or spring. I think some of those would be fun to do even if I wasn’t entertaining. Thanks for posting!
Hope you have a good day!
Take care –
Hi Charlotte,
I’m glad you saw some cute ideas from my pins! Pinterest has just about everything on their site! I really can get lost on there!
You have a good day too!
Blessings, Jeanne
I just have a second here, Jeanne, because I’m waiting for Willie. He’s off school today, so Grandma gets him!
I am making those Easter race cars and have all the trimmings for them! I think he (and his sisters) will enjoy them as much as I will enjoy making them!
I have seen that blue Easter cake somewhere, maybe in one of my magazines that just came? It is beautiful! Everything is so cute, and a lot easy to make too! Since I have only a husband here, I don’t think he would appreciate all the cute bunny rolls or pancakes! LOL
HI Linda,
Do send me a picture of your race cars when you get them finished. I’d (we’d) love to see them!
I hope you had a fun day babysitting Willie!
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
Thanks for taking time to send us photos of creativity, Jeanne. It’s wonderful to see such variety and color in these creations.
Trusting your days are within tolerable limits. Thanks for taking time to visit us.
Blessings.
HI Becky,
If I stay busy my days seem more tolerable…at least now they do. George sold 21 of his Old German Owls and now he has a much more manageable group of birds. It was something he was wanting to get done for quite a while. I took pictures of them and sold them off Craigslist…2nd person who called! Yay!
I’m glad you enjoyed the colorful pictures of the Easter goodies.. I tried to find some pretty pictures and different things to show!
Thank you Becky,
Blessings, Jeanne
Good Morning, I love Pinterest too and it is amazing how one thing leads to another. Thanks for all of the Easter ideas. My grandkids are older but I love the “twinkie” car.
Wishing you a great week
HI Leigh,
Well, you might just have to make those Twinkie cars for yourself! :o) You are SO right about Pinterest taking you from one thing to another! But that’s what so fun about it, isn’t it?
Blessings, Jeanne
My favorite is the Bunny Peeps in Twinkie cars which I copied a couple of years ago so it would come up on my Screen Saver. I have a set of dishes like the ones holding the Crescent Carrots. The Bunny Fruit Platter takes about five minutes of pushing and prodding fruit on a plate. Cute! The Bunny Pancakes and Egg as a Bunny are both so easy and ingredients are on hand. All very creative and thanks for bringing them together for a fun post.
HI Susette,
So you like the Twinkie cars too… they are so cute! It’s a good thing Pinterest wasn’t around when my kids were little… I would have been hooked for sure. This is the way it would have gone… “No, kids, mommy can’t play with you, she’s looking for fun things to make for you!” Oh brother… If you make something, be sure and send pics to me! :o)
Thanks Susette,
Blessings, Jeanne
Wow! When I clicked on the carrot crescent rolls, I immediately became lost in pinterest. So many creative things.
Thanks for sharing.
HI Joy,
Welcome to the world of getting lost on Pinterest… I used to think it was a time waster, and it can be if you let it, but I think of it now more like a giant reference book with just about any picture you could ever need to look at! I use it all the time for information gathering! Tonight I’m going to try and find some tin backsplash tiles… just to see what I think! :o)
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
What festive and creative (and yummy!) ideas. So thoughtful of you to put everything together for us in a fun Easter post, Jeanne. Thanks for taking the time to share your pinterest findings with us. Hope you and your family are finding time to celebrate life’s blessings in special ways, too. Happy Monday!
P.S. For everyone who has fallen in love with the recent discovery of shiplap in your farmhouse kitchen, please take a look at this wonderful product: http://www.stikwood.com. Easy, peasy! Enjoy!
HI Anne,
I LOVED that you added that link to the stikwood planks. I have never seen those and loved the whitewashed ones! I’m going to have to pass that along to Cindy. I know she’ll love that site too!
I’m glad you enjoyed the pins from Pinterest today!
We celebrated a new wall going up on our kitchen today! A friend from church came over and helped (well, practically did most of the work himself) with the wall over my sink! So I am celebrating that for today!
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
How creative people can be! (Besides you and your sisters!) That white cake with the blue icing is the best. I’m a white cake person – then to add blue icing with chocolate flips is even greater. Thanks for sharing all these fun ideas.
Have a nice day Jeanne. Wonder how the kitchen’s coming along. Can’t wait to see.
HI Paula,
When I get my new kitchen finished, I just might have to make that blue cake and celebrate! It think that cake looks divine!!!
The kitchen is coming along… I’ll have pictures soon… I have hope that it’s going to be beautiful… last week I wasn’t so sure!
Thanks Paula,
Blessings, Jeanne
I admit, I am a Pinterest junky. I have way too many pins and 99% of them I never go back and look at. Go figure.
I love peeps…..have about 6 boxes so far. They are perfect for people like me who hate chocolate.
My plan was to make that cake this year for Easter, but due to some personal reasons, we are not celebrating it this year. But, hey if anybody out there feels compelled to make me one I promise I’ll eat the entire cake. I love cake especially white.
That centerpiece with the cabbage is sweet and I am saving that for next year.
Thanks for sharing.
HI Sandra,
I think I could become a Pinterest Junkie very easily. I’d rather look at Pinterest than Facebook any day of the week! :o)
So you hate chocolate… I bet the Cadbury Bunny loves you!
I’m going to make that cake someday… when my kitchen is finished.. and I’ll save a piece for you…promise!
Thanks Sandra,
Blessings, Jeanne
Those Twinkiecars are just the cutest! I saw that idea awhile back and lost the link so thank you for posting it again. It’s fun to have something fun for the boys too.
Will be making some of them ASAP
Thanks for thinking of us!
Enjoy Easter with the family!
Thanks so much Kathie,
I bet your boys will love them… the little ones AND the big boys too! :o) Send me your pictures if you take any… :o)
Blessings, Jeanne
Such cute ideas! All of these would be fun to do with the grandkids. I spend way too much time on Pinterest, but I do find a lot of inspiration there.
HI Carolyn,
Inspiration…yes, that’s the right word for spending time on there…inspiration! I just LOVE to be inspired and I guess you do too! :o)
Blessings, Jeanne
Fun ideas. I’ve seen the one on Hungry Happenings becasse I’ve seen some of her other ideas like sea otter cupcakes, too cute! The Twinkie race cars are the funniest idea I’ve seen yet. The malted milk cake did look good. I saw that one in my issue of Country Living.
Love the fruit and veggie trays. Healthy and fun!!
The bunny napkins are cute as well. I have that design in a folder of creative napkin folding that I copied years ago. Fancy folded napkin add the final special touch to holiday dinners.
That’s it… when I get my kitchen done, we’re ALL going to have a piece of that Aqua cake that I’m making..in my new kitchen, in my new oven and showcased on my new countertops against my new backsplash! I’ll cut it in tiny slivers so everyone can have a slice!
Thanks so much Laura!
Blessings, Jeanne
All of these ideas are wonderful. I’m sort of fond of the fruit bunny, but without anyone to help me eat it, it would definitely not be worth all the effort. I tried to find out more about the Easter cake http://portobellodesign.blogspot.com/2016/03/spring-recipe-most-beautiful-easter.html There’s the recipe, if you haven’t found it already.
My favorite thing to make is kulich and paska, Russian Easter bread and Easter cheese. I make the bread as rolls, since I was told making it in coffee cans sometimes made dry bread, which is true, I think, whenever an egg bread is overcooked. The cheese tastes more like sweetened whipped cream cheese and should be made in a paska mold. I found one many years ago now, when they were hard to come by, but they are now available on Amazon.
Had to look at the recipe. Sounds delicious. Haven’t looked for a paska mold yet, but I think trying to find a metal coffee can might be difficult also. Aren’t they all plastic now?
Thanks for the great idea Marilyn.
HI Marilyn,
I liked the fruit bunny too, but it’s a lot of fruit for us too! But he is awfully cute!
I did see that recipe and wasn’t it loaded with the best ingredients! I am SO making this and we’re all going to have a piece! Probably with vanilla ice cream too! :o)
Your Easter bread and cheese sounds wonderful and it’s a good thing I’m not coming to your house for Easter… if that cheese tastes like whipped cream cheese, I’d be in big trouble! Yummy!
Thanks so much for the link to the cake here in the comments!
Blessings, Jeanne
