I hope you like the name… I had narrowed it down to three… “Old Fashioned Winter”, “Fur Baby”, and “Winter Charm.” I just thought it was the best of the three. It is now listed on Ebay and you can see it by cliking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.
It was sort of misty and dreary all day today but I ventured out with Janie in her coat and we had a short photo session outside. It was productive and I hope you can see the details of the coat much better in my outside photos. She looks so cute with her head all wrapped up in that furry hat!
I mentioned in my listing that this was a Victorian Styled Leopard coat… That sounds kind of strange, but I did it anyway. Sometimes the “out of the ordinary” is what grabs peoples attention… I guess we’ll see.
Everyone seems to be wondering who will be next… I guess I better go decide! :o)
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Your pictures turned out lovely, Jeanne, and Janie is just as cute as she can be in her new coat and accessories! (I think she’s waiting for some snow now!)
Hi Charlotte,
Janie just might get that snow on Friday! If it snows I might have to take some new pics of her in it!!
Blessings, Jeanne
I think the outdoor pictures are remarkably clear and show the details of the fur very well, Jeanne, so I’m guessing that you will try some new outdoor scenes this year! Janie looks just adorable in that outfit, and the colors of the fabric and fur fit her to a “T”! Like Charlotte says, I think she’s waiting for some snow too, and from the weather reports, she just might get some! Very foggy here this morning, but at least we aren’t freezing cold!
Thanks Linda,
I was talking to George thus morning about creating a little scenic area in the yard for taking my girl’s pictures…I hope I can come up with something…
It does look like snow is coming our way…get ready!!
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
Everything looks great! I love that the pictures are outside. Janie looks so cute!!
Hope you have a good day.
Take care!
Thank you Charlotte!

So cute! Love every detail. Outdoor pictures are great. Have a great day.
Thank you Susette,
Glad you enjoyed the pictures of Janie outside!

Charming!

Thanks so much, Becky!

Love the outdoor photos. Just adds realistic charm. My favorite is the one in the gazebo, or at least I think it is such. I see there is a bid. Good start.
Let’s see, what’s next? Smocking? A full capelet with hood? So many choices. 🙂
Hi Joy,
Yes, that’s the gazebo…and yes, that’s a bid!!
Yes, too many choices…who to pick and what to make…
Thanks, Joy.
Blessings, Jeanne
Janie looks adorable modeling her coat ensemble. Love the hat around her red hair. She looks so snuggly warm and I agree with the girls, she must be waiting for some snow. Such a beautiful design and material choice, Jeanne. Absolutely charming!
HI Paula,
Janie does look exceptionally cute in the red wig I think… glad you like it too!
She might be getting her wish for snow… come Friday! :o)
Thanks Paula,
Blessings, Jeanne
Happy Wednesday Jeanne
What an adorable set and I completely agree the outdoor photo shoot really does show up all the lovely details.
You mentioned this was a Victorian Styled Coat… what about one for your bigger girls? I can see it now… long almost touching the ground, burgundy wool with a muff and a matching hat. Just a thought 😉
Enjoy the day
Hugs
Ingrid
Thank you Ingrid,
I was so glad the weather cooperated at least for a little bit while I ran outside with Janie and got a few shots of her in the coat. The natural lighting really does make a big difference.
I like your idea of a coat like this for my AG dolls… I’ve filed your idea away… :o)
Thanks Ingrid,

Dear Jeanne, if you are taking votes for the next coat recipient, I vote for Elin. I can see her in an old fashion little girl coat with matching leggings. I remember that from my childhood (or maybe I saw it in a catalog because I am way too young to be that old – smile). Anyhow, I vote for Elin.
HI Dorothy,
I’ve taken note that you’d like to see Elin in a coat next… I’m not sure who gets the fortune of being “Jeanne’s Next Top Model” but someone will!
I do have a 1940’s catalog with some of those snow suits with the leggings and they are so adorable!
Thanks for your vote! :o)
Blessings, Jeanne
What a sweet coat set you have created. Every detail is just perfect.
So, you’re looking to add a Samantha doll again? Samantha holds a real soft spot with me because without her, I would never have realized that adults could own dolls (other than childhood ones) and I wouldn’t have the others, the sweet clothing, or the fascinating accessories. I agree, you should get the Samantha that catches your eye. Mine happens to be a PC 1991 German one. I think that was also the year the tan bodies came out because of Felicity. Mine has a tan body. I actually had a white body one that I bought on eBay after I already had my Samantha because everyone said how lovely they were and I had never seen one in person. I don’t care for the WB, don’t like the lighter hair color or the sparser eyelashes. You will find the Samantha that’s perfect. When I was looking for a NRFB PC 1991 Felicity, the one I chose jumped off the page at me, same with my others.
As to the question of who’s up next? I also like the idea of a Victorian coat for the AG’s. I have Sam’s plaid cape, hat and muff and also the Sugarplum coat. Need to make a black muff for that one sometime.
Hi Laura,
Yes, I’m thinking of Samantha again…I know I should just go with my gut, but I’m scared to pick one. I found a Beforever that has gorgeous hair and a very pretty face but then I’ve also found a few other older dolls that are sweet too. I’ve been practically obsessing and going back and forth with a few dolls. I know for what I do, a pretty doll does sell things better…
So I’ll have to decide soon as a few of my watched dolls are ending soon…
I was in my sewing room looking at some fabrics trying to decide who and what should be next….

Such an adorably sweet “Victorian Styled” ensemble, Jeanne. Janie seems delighted with her “Winter Charm” coat set, and what a charming little model she has been for you with her red bob and rosy cheeks. With the cold temperatures we’ve had and the snowy weather coming, she may not want to take this off! 😉
I’m glad the weather cooperated for your photo session, too. Your pictures are crisp and clear, highlighting all the delightful details of Janie’s outfit, and the “Missouri mist” in the background adds a bit of enchantment to the scene. I’m sure George will be able to help you create a wonderful scenic area to take more pictures outside for your future wintery creations.
Looking forward to Jeanne Marie’s Next Top Model and perhaps another irresistible coat set. All the best with the bidding for “Winter Charm,” Jeanne!
Thank you Anne,
I took Janie’s coat off of her today, but I thought if we get snow, I’ll have to put it back on her so she can at least stand in the snow for a few pictures! :o)
I have been thinking about making some little scenic box all day today…
Thanks so much for your sweet compliments on this coat set, Anne. I really appreciate them.
Yes, who will be next???
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
