I know it’s Saturday and you might be scrambling around trying to finish up what’s on your Christmas lists, but I hope you’ll take time to peek at the rest of my dresses from 2017. If you missed yesterday’s post, you might want to go back and see it, as it was the dresses I made the first half of 2017. (HERE)
Let’s get started on what was happening in May. Kirsten was looking awfully sweet in “Pretty on the Prairie.”
My top seller of 2017 was this next dress set, being modeled by Addy. I called it “Southern Charm” and she certainly was charming in this one. I bought this fabric at a little quilt shop down in Cape Girardeau, MO, and after it had sold, and I was back at the shop, I showed the ladies that worked there, some pictures of it on my phone…and I’m not kidding, they ooooohhhed and aaaahhhhhed like nobody ever has before. They told me when I came back through Cape, to come on a Tuesday, because they would both be working and they wanted to see what else I would be making… :o) (Sorry for the picture overload on this one… I guess they weren’t the only ones who liked it!) :o)
“Blissful in Blue” was a beautiful Regency gown modeled by Elizabeth.
Now we’re getting into June and Molly is showing off a set that I had a lot of fun with. I called this one “The Babysitter.” I had fun redoing a little baby doll I found…
It’s Felicity’s turn again and she’s showing off “Colonial Rose.” This was another favorite of mine for the year…
Another new girl came to live at my house… Meet Nora in “Victorian Elegance.”
…and then finally, after a 3 year long wait for my doll to be painted, Emmie was finished and this was her debut dress… “Dainty and Demure.”
It’s Ten Ping’s turn again… this time with a “new face” by Lana Dobbs. Here she is in “Teddy Bear Tea Party.”
We are in September now and Rebecca is modeling a Civil War dress called “Apple Butter Sweet.”
Patsy Tonner was thrilled to be modeling a dress made form this pretty fabric. I called this one “Autumn Leaves.”
Molly takes a turn again and is in “Autumn Lace.”
We’re almost out of months AND dresses. Felicity gets the second to last dress of the year… This was called “Fall Fancy” and believe me, it was… I made a custom hat for it from straw and think Felicity looked darling in this set.
My last dress of 2017 was modeled by Lian, my 13″ Dianna Effner, Little Darling. Unbelievably, this was the only dress she modeled for me all year long… Here she is in “Christmas Snowflakes.” What a little sweetheart she is!
Okay, now that I’m officially out of dresses, you may go shopping! :o) I hope you enjoyed today’s…oops… this years dresses!

Well, you already know my favorites are the two purple dresses–the one Ten Ping is modeling and (most especially) the one on Molly!! I love the last one, though, too–I happen to love snowflakes (and have several tops with them on , as well as some snowflake jewelry, to prove it!), and of course Lian is so sweet.

Beautiful, beautiful outfits Jeanne ! I really love the one on Addy the most – From that town where you found the material for it. Then as I look at all your other creations I just shake my head in disbelief at your talent. I love all of them even when I don’t have that type of doll!!

Dear Jeanne, How lovely they all look! I think I like Emmie’s dress best. But I also like Ten Ping’s dress, so it’s a tie. I can’t wait to see the line up of dresses you will make in 2018. I look forward to next December!

I’m finally able to comment, for some reason, I was not able to get to the Comments page. Also had a little bit of company today, so was not able to say anything until now. Did you get that beautiful snow this morning Jeanne? It was so pretty and made it look like a Christmas card when the sun came up!
I went overboard in commenting the other day, trying to say something about each picture your readers sent in, so this will be a bit more brief. I love every single dress you have made, no matter who it was for, it came out looking so special for each doll that you have. I especially love the little felt jackets you make and the ribbon embroidery you put on them. Just darling! And the little straw hats are so sweet too! And you topped the year off with that wonderful dress for Lian, Christmas Snowflakes. I’m not sure how you will be able to top off this past year’s dresses next year, but I’m willing to bet you will!

The last part of her year was just as nice.
Looking back I really like Nora in the black and white because I loved the ruffles and Patsys hat was so freaky cute , it just set off that darling dress.

Beautiful outfits today as well. I think Kirsten looks very cute and of course, Felicity looks enchanting in both of today’s gowns.. The coral really complemented her peaches and cream complexion and the Jacobean print was really unique. Throwing in a couple of Civil war dresses and a Victorian one and you’ve covered all my favorite eras. Addy’s dress is just gorgeous, but I think the one that captures me today is Rebecca’s “Apple Butter Sweet”.
I love that style of bonnet you make and the brown print is so different. I like unexpected colors and print rather than the bright and sometimes IMO gaudy combinations that AG seems fond of.
Linda said it well. I’m also not sure how you will top this years dresses ( I’ve thought that prior years as well), but I know you will.

I can’t believe with all that happened this year that you made so many dresses. Amazing! I think my favorite is the Addy Civil War dress but they are all so special, each in its own way. You are so creative! This late in the day, I second every lovely comment above by your faithful followers.
