Come back tomorrow and see it revealed
In all of its glory ~ I think you might squeal!

That’s all for today… use those imaginations! :o)

  1. Oh that is just adorable, from what I can see, Jeanne! The petticoat, stockings, pin tucks and lace, the gingham trim, blue teddy bear, sweet little jacket and the darling straw hat———–perfection! Can’t wait to see it tomorrow all together! The roses on the bonnet are perfectly color keyed to the outfit! This is going to be a winner for sure!

    1. HI Linda,
I finished with my floor “filling” so I thought I could answer a few comments…
Thanks so much, Linda… It really is adorable on Emmie… She wants to keep it!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. I love the jacket decoration, and I can’t even see the whole jacket yet. The petticoat looks just right. I hope someone has explained to Emmie that she doesn’t get to keep this dress.

Someone on AGPT called AG this morning. The custom line should be up and running by mid-morning Central Time. It will be fun to see how that works. I have heard that delivery is in 4-6 weeks. Plenty of time for Ten Ping and someone else before the first customs show up. How would Ten Ping look in Emmie’s pretty flowered fabric?

    1. HI Marilyn,
Emmie found out the hard way that she doesn’t get to keep the dress… Janie blurted it out! :o)

I am out of the loop on the custom line thing… I’m guessing that means you can order a doll with whatever eyes, hair color, skin tone, etc that you want?
Ten Ping would look very sweet in this fabric and I have some Ultra Suede in the same teal blue that I could make shoes from… :o)
Now my curiosity is up, so I just might have to check out the American Girl site and see what’s going on ….
      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. There are also a lot of comments on AGPT. The system does not work smoothly — the choice part is ok, though as someone commented, there are no Truly Me dolls that make you cringe, but with the customs, that’s a definite possibility. Several people apparently just wanted to try it out and created irresistible dolls. Much sighing and talk of budgets. The buying part is awkward and several AGPT people have had problems. It’s going to be fun to see people’s choices.

  3. What a lovely outfit/clues we see on Emmie so far. She will be the talk of the doll cupboard, it not the “town”, or even ebay, perhaps?

    Blessings.

    1. Oooooooo, the talk of Ebay would be nice, Becky! I hope you are right!
      Thanks for the thoughts…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. All the little detail hints seem quite lovely. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the big pictures tomorrow.
    Have a good day!
    Take care.

    1. Thank you Charlotte,
I DO like to add the details…and even added a few more today…just couldn’t resist!
Big Pictures tomorrow… see you in the morning!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Ah, ha, I believe I spy that illusive little jacket now complete with blanket stitch trim and flower embroidery! Very cute. Love the straw hat too, and the narrow elastic on the slip and thigh highs. Look forward to seeing everything tomorrow.

    1. HI Joy,
Old habits die hard… that “just might be a jacket” but I’ll never tell…
      Thank you Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Ahhhh !!! Your clues are really good hints and I can’t wait to see the whole outfit….the hat is adorable and Emmie’s little jacket and handy work on it beautiful…another perfect outfit by Jeanne Marie. You haven’t overlooked anything from top to bottom and underneath !!

    1. HI Paula,
I was sweating bullets on that straw hat… I had 5 yards of the braid and it takes about 5 yards to do one of these hats… I was gluing the edges as closely as I could so I didn’t use up any more braid than I had to… and when I got finished, I only had 5 inches left! Whew! That was too close to suit me…
I”m glad you liked my silly little poem too…
      Thank you Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Emmie’s new dress looks looks precious from what I can tell. The jacket or capelet us beautiful and I can’t wait to see the entire ensemble revealed. Sweet poem also.

    1. Thank you Laura,
      I’m glad you’re liking it so far…
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. HI Everyone,
I am filling some “imperfections” in my living room and dining room floor with wood putty, so I can probably only do this one comment…
I’m glad my hints were enough to keep you curious… Emmie’s debut dress set turned out really nicely and she looks so very pretty in it… This might be hard to let go of… :o( but there will be more… :o)
Thanks, everyone, for your very sweet comments and compliments!
    Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Filling makes me think you might be going with paint for the floor? I know there is some product for filling that you just use a trowel and spred it on, picking up the excess and leaving behind a nice smooth fill in job. I’ve only used wood putty in small dabs on furniture. Excited to know what you are doing with the floors. Are you going to run the same through into the kitchen? Just curious as we need new flooring also.
Don’t work too hard. That on your knees stuff can be painful.

      1. HI Joy,
I’ll save what I’m doing for a post…but I’ll just tell you so you know…IT’S NOT PAINT!
        :o) :o) :o) Those are 3 happy faces…that match mine!!!
        Thanks Joy,
        Blessings, Jeanne

          1. And from me too. I’m even more eager to see the floor progress pictures than the new outfit. I hope George takes pictures of you working in revenge for the ones you’ve taken of him.

  9. That little peek of the jacket and hat was just enough to know I’m going to love the whole thing!
So is the stitch at the edge of the jacket done by machine? My buttonhole stitch shows so much more thread.
    Awesome detskls?

    1. HI Kathie,
I’m glad you think you’re going to like Emmie’s new dress set… You will!!
The stitching at the edge of my jacket is done by machine and it’s an applique stitch… I set my tension so it pulls the majority of the stitching to the back side… It gets kind of wavy but no one sees it…
      Thanks Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne
