Well, it’s probably obvious to you, there won’t be any 4th of July dresses from me this year. I’ve been kind of behind on things for a while now and as I was working on Felicity’s dress, I realized I’d have nothing to offer you this year.
However, I do have dresses from the past and thought maybe I’d show them to you and see if YOU could pick my all time favorite dress from the ones shown… We’ll turn this into a little contest. I’ll show you all the doll dresses I’ve made representing the 4th of July, and you can pick the ONE you think is MY favorite. Let me know in your comments below or in an email to me… (use the Contact Me tab under my header.) Then I’ll see if anyone gets it right. All those who guess it right will be entered into a drawing and I’ll then draw out one name and announce the winner tomorrow. If you don’t know the dolls name, just do your best to describe the dress. It’s for a prize! :o)
You’ll have until midnight, Monday night, Illinois Central time.
So let’s see those dresses…there are 32 to pick from so take your time…and if you want to see them larger, just click on them.
Also, remember you’re just voting for the “outfit”… not the quality of the picture…some of my older pics are pretty pathetic!
Do you think you know which one is my favorite? Guess and see if you win!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
I think your favorites are Lian in Stars and Stripes and Kirsten in a red hat. If I have to choose one, I’ll go with Kirsten, which may also be my favorite. I also like — all of them, really. This is an excellent set of pictures. I do think Molly in the red dress has special charm.
And of course I love the Sisters outfits, which now live in California and are worn by Isabelle and Josefina on July 4th and for pastry deliveries in Paris on Bastille Day. They came with bracelets and flags and petticoats — it made a wonderful box for my goddaughter Bella to open.
I am guessing your favorite is the Asian doll (Chinese?) wearing the beautiful top, slacks, and hat. She is holding a panda bear.
Good luck, everyone!
Have a good day.
Take care.
What a gorgeous group of pictures!! All the outfits and picture set ups are adorable and very patriotic. My oh my, it is going to be so hard choosing one because they are all so perfect but trying to guess which one is your favorite….while Molly modeled several adorable outfits, so did Kirsten. The little girl with the pants underneath her dress, the kitten sleeping on the bench, that’s such a cute outfit too. And then there is the sweet outfit Lian is wearing but I’m guessing you’re favorite one is: the outfit Kirsten is wearing with the red cap and the beautiful white apron.
Since I just won something not to long ago, whether I guess correctly or not, please don’t include me in the drawing. Hopefully someone who hasn’t won something for a while or hasn’t ever won, will win. : )
Oh gosh, Jeanne, I can hardly make up MY mind on what I like best, much less what you like best! But I have to go with Kirsten in the darling outfit with the red cap. That is just so different than the others, but I do like the Asian doll holding the panda too, although it doesn’t really say 4th of July in America to me, but I do like it a lot! Of course Molly with all her red, white and blue dresses too, gee, you make it difficult, to say the least, but my first pick is Kirsten in the red cap.
Good morning! I believe your favorite would be Lian in the stripes with the wave of flag star buttons across the top. I love that one too. However, my favorites are Molly in the blue jumper with the red rick rack, white blouse, and checked tie, and Kirsten in the first one of her with the 10 buttons down the front and navy blue accents. So fun to visit all of the 4th dresses. All of them have something wonderful to observe.
Thanks for sharing them.
I think Molly’s favorite is her blue sailor outfit. She looks so pleased and full of energy.
I’m going to guess Lian with Minnie Mouse, maybe because I live three miles from Disneyland. I can’t imagine sewing all those tiny buttons on. What a wonderful dress for Fourth of July! All of them are wonderful, each in its own way. What an accomplishment to have made all of the dresses. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Take care.
The ones that stood out to me were Lian in the flag dress with the wave of stars across the bodice, Wren in the red dress with short jeans and a skinny scarf around her neck and the Asian American girl. My favorite is Wren, and I want that outfit for my Wren, LOL, and I think your favorite would be Lian in the dress with a ‘million’ white star buttons!
I’m going to guess Lian in stars and stripes holding Minnie Mouse is YOUR favorite, while my favorite is Kirsten with the dainty white eyelet apron over the blue print skirt and wearing the red bonnet with Edelweiss flowers. I just loved that one.
I vote for Molly with the r/w/b bow in her braided up-do hair and apples at her feet. But all of them are really GREAT
What a great fashion show! I can’t even guess which is your favorite, so I will choose my favorite and assume it may be yours also. I would pick the Asian doll in the pants outfit holding the panda bear.
HI Ladies,
I thought I’d check in here and let you know I love your comments, and how you think. I also love to see which ones are YOUR favorites!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a Fantastic Fourth you have shown us with all your dresses, Jeanne! I’m sure you know MY favorite, as I’ve mentioned it so often! Lian’s petite polka dot navy bodice with the crisp red-and-white stripe skirt and three rows of wavy buttons just makes me want to salute the flag! I don’t know how you could ever choose a favorite when each creation has a special patriotic charm all its own. At first, I thought you might choose the very first ensemble because of all the details involved in creating it, but I think YOUR choice might be the simpler one of Molly with the three white star buttons on her red bodice, her hair in braided loops at the side, and a basket of apples at her feet (the 12th picture from the top). It is a perfectly balanced delight. Thank you for the Pretty Patriotic Parade, Jeanne. Everyday you bring us the best of what you have to offer, and everyday we are filled with joy and inspiration with what you choose to share. Waiting with anticipation for you to reveal your favorite for the Fourth!
I don’t know how you would even PICK a favorite when every one of them is so beautiful and perfect but if I had to guess, I would say that your favorite is the red dress that’s on the dark haired, dark eyed American Girl doll that has teeth and she’s standing with a soda fountain background in the picture. The dress is long waisted, has a white, pointy collar, the skirt part is pleated with wide pleats and there’s a light blue gingham ribbon belt and matching ribbon in her hair. I can’t wait to hear how wrong I was, LOL! Blessings to you, sweet lady!
Great finds! They all look so cute and cozy.I love all of your choices.
