Of course, you’ve seen many of them before, but not everyone has been with me since the beginning so I had to show some repeats. I went through my archived pictures and only picked Christmas dresses on the dolls I still have standing on my shelf… (at least for now…) :o) I’ll do them 10 at a time, for the next few days. (my hubby is getting his port implanted this morning and I’m not sure what to expect, so I’ve got Christmas dresses lined up for a few days.)
[If you click on the pictures, they will enlarge.]
First up is Molly in her Christmas dress from last year…
Then one on Addy from WAY back…
Lian is modeling a sweet black velvet and lace dress from last year. I have a story to tell about this one in a few days…
This is Felicity in Colonial Christmas Charm from last year…
Isabelle is looking Merry and Bright in her green and red Dress set…
Kirsten has on apple green and red for a sweet Christmas combination…
Janie is showing off her little wooden dolly. I found these at a craft booth in an antique store and bought 4 but wish I had bought more… they are so adorable…
This is Lily in a rare appearance modeling one of 3 dresses for someone who used them as her Little Women collection…
Here is Eden in her Little Women dress…
…and for some reason I didn’t get a single shot of Rebecca in her green Christmas dress, but here’s one of all 3 girls together…
Okay, that’s enough Christmas for one day…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
A seasonal song proclaims, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” and you have given us a most wonderful look at Christmas today, Jeanne! Each dress is like an ornament on the tree, admired for its own beauty and memories, and impossible to choose a favorite. Thank you for the dose of Christmas cheer, and thank you for the tribute to Little Women, too! ;o) Thoughts and prayers for you and George today!
It was my pleasure to bring you a little early Christmas cheer!
Thank you for your prayers Anne…they just took my hubby away… here we go… :o)
Blessings, Jeanne
My dad had a port implanted so we could give him IV’s. The implanting didn’t seem to cause any problems. The IV’s did because he kept the house at the high 80’s, and trying to do all the little fiddly things with the IV while sweat dripped into my eyes and I couldn’t touch anything except the medical things with my clean hands was tricky. You, fortunately, won’t be dealing with any of that. I have great faith and hope after hearing about your new doctor and seeing the sign in the hospital.
Thank you for the early Christmas present. I’d like Addy’s dress in several colors for my AG’s and one in my size, please. I’ve always been fond of Eden, and I was surprised to see that Lily’s hairstyle works perfectly well with a Civil War dress.
Hi Marilyn,
Oh my goodness…what an ordeal for you and your dad…no…I won’t have to mess with all that.
I’m glad you enjoyed the dresses..and yes…I should make another dress like Addy’s just in a different color. I always liked her in that one.
Thanks Marilyn,
Blessings, Jeanne
They are all beautiful. I am praying for George today that all goes well. ((HUGS))
Thank you Christine,
I have been waiting for December to get here so I could show some Christmas dresses.
Thank you for your prayers,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a wonderful collection of Christmas dresses, Jeanne! Oh my gosh, that dress of Lian’s, SO pretty and with the delicate lace ruffles around the skirt! Is that a headband like you recently made for the LD dolls, the red, gold and green?
Felicity also looks just precious with all the green and the ruffles! Molly in that darling Scottish outfit, and Kirsten always so darling in those dirndls! What talent!
Thinking of you and George today, just think of it as conquering the foe! Blessings!
Thank you Linda,
Yes…Lian’s headband was made the same way as the last 3 I made recently.
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing my girls in some Christmas dresses. I still enjoy going through my archives and looking back at what I have made.
Yes…conquer the foe!
Thank you so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a lovely collection of Christmas dresses. Each outfit is really beautiful. I love the dress Lily is wearing. The print and her lace collar are perfect. Those 3 girls really remind me of the Little Women. The detail on all the outfits is wonderful…the detail on Addy’s dress is unbelievable. I love it.
I’ll be thinking of you and George hoping the procedure goes smoothly. Take care and have faith in all things.
Hi Paula,
I just knew you’d love the Little Women dresses…maybe next year I can do another set of them. I really enjoyed making them.
Thanks so much Paula,
Blessings, Jeanne
Lian’s dress is always my favorite. Love it. However, Kirsten looks so festive, and then there are the Little Women group. Really lovely to see this morning.
I figure George should be about done getting his port and will probably be a bit sore. How soon will his treatments start? Looks like there will be lots of paperwork to keep track of when maintenance needs to be done etc. Think you will be very busy. You know, if you can’t make a post, please don’t worry. We certainly can understand. Thinking of you both.
HI Joy,
I would have to agree with you on Lian’s dress. It was truly magnificent…actually I have it in my possession right now… that’s part of the story I’ll share in a few days. Thanks!
Yes, George made it though getting his port just fine and other than being a little sore when he turns his head, he’s okay… His chemo treatments start on Tuesday…
I just have a feeling there might be some missed posts in the future, but I’ll try not to. I would miss writing it like I hope you would miss reading it…
Thanks Joy,
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh, Jeanne, what a treat to see Christmas dresses this morning. Addy’s dress is simply beautiful in her red and black dress. and Felicity looks so merry in her fern green print which sets off those gorgeous peridot eyes of hers. Love Kirsten’s dirndl. That little bonnet with the plaid ruffle was one of my favorites. And then there are the Little Women dresses- exquisite. I love them all, but Rebecca’s is my favorite with those double puffed sleeves. Hmm… maybe my Caroline needs a Little Woman dress at some point, too. I like the Little Women movies, the one with Elizabeth Taylor and the one with Winona Ryder. Have you ever seen the TV series Little Men with Michelle Burke as Jo? I have the DVD’s and it is a sweet show along the lines of Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea, two of my favorites. My daughter got a magazine as a young girl called The Girlhood Home Companion, need to dig out the Little Women issue and the issues of Victoria featuring the movie.
You and George will be in my thoughts and prayers today. ((Hugs))
HI Laura,
Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my girls dresses. I hope my readers never tire of seeing them… again and again… I don’t, so maybe you won’t either…
You’ve gotten me all inspired to watch Little Women in all the versions…and no, I haven’t seen the movie with Michelle Burke… I’ll have to search them out…and have a movie marathon with pretty dresses as my theme…
George got his port put in with no problems… he’s just a bit sore when he turns his head… it’s right below his collar bone with a nice lump under the skin… first step over! Next hurdle is the first chemo treatment… they said it would be 8 hours long… ugh!
Thanks so much Laura,
Blessings, Jeanne
I love them all, thanks for sharing…. prayers today!!!
Robin
Thanks Robin,
I’m glad you like the dresses… It was fun for me to see them again too… Sometimes I think I’m my biggest fan… silly woman! :o)
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
I’m left to agree with everyone’s comments. My favorites is Lian’s dress, but they are all so beautiful in their own ways. Every picture made me think your dresses should be in a book, they are all so lovely and certainly worthy of their own page and story. You use so many different fabrics and techniques to make your doll clothes unique. Some day, I hope. Congrats on another wonderful post for us to enjoy. We’ll all be wishing you the best today.
HI Susette,
Thanks again for the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar! It’s so fun to see what she comes up with each year. I bet she works all year long for the calendar for next year.
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the dolls dresses…even though many of them are repeats… I do love a pretty doll dress and it’s fun for me to see them all in a row too. I need to do a count on my Christmas dresses…no… I need to spend that time sewing… I’ll just say “plenty of Christmas dresses!”
Thanks so much Susette,
Blessings, Jeanne
Prayers…
Your dresses are sooo lovely. I am so blessed when I see your work.
Blessings.
HI Becky,
Well, it blesses my heart that you are blessed to see my doll dresses! That made me smile!
Thank you so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
I realized to late that I forgot to compliment Janie. She’s always been one of my favorite models, and I love the way you put fabrics together in that dress. The hat is one of your very best too.
You’ll be home shortly. That always helps. And you’ve taken the first step. No, I’m wrong. The first step was rejecting the wrong doctor. The second was choosing a good one. You are already well on your way.
HI Marilyn,
Those pictures of Janie weren’t the best… my lighting was off that day, but that fabric was a perfect color for her… she looked very pretty in it.
We are home now and as you say, we are well on our way… It’s funny, we got an evaluation form online the other day for the new Hematologist /oncologist the other day. One of the questions, was… “Rating from 1-10, how would you score this doctor?” We both looked at each other as we were filling out this form and George said, “where was the evaluation form for Dr. Dufus? We both had to laugh.
Thanks Marilyn,
You’ve always been our biggest cheerleader, even back when this all began, and you still are!
Blessings, Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
First and foremost… I pray all went well with the port insertion. I hope George is doing well and resting.
Secondly….Christmas Dresses! 🙂 So many beautiful dresses how can you even pick a favorite? What a nice treat.
Thirdly … It was like Christmas came to New York early today as I opened my mail. Thank you so much Jeanne. I’m still smiling.
Take care of that sweet hubby of yours and I’m sure all of us here won’t mind several days of your lovely dresses aka eye candy.
Hugs
Ingrid
PS.. I love my “Word of the Day” it’s wonderful for this Dutch born girl to expand her vocabulary. As I was thinking of you and George today I found todays word very promising. Dec 1, 2016 Merriam-Webster Word of the day… thaumaturgy, defintion: the performance of miracles.
HI Ingrid,
Everything did go well…I now have a hubby with a power port…as it’s called.
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the Christmas dresses on my dolls…and I’m glad you won’t mind seeing a few more over the next day or two. That will give me time to get something new started.
I just shared your Word of the Day with George… he smiled…
Thanks Ingrid,
Blessings, Jeanne
I remember seeing pictures of the Little Women dresses. They are some of my favorites. I really like the fabrics and the lace collars. I don’t remember seeing the dress Janie is modeling so that was a treat. I’m glad things went well for George. We’ll all be praying that his treatments will be completely successful!
Thank you Carolyn,
I’m glad you liked the dresses from today and I’m glad there was at least one new one in the bunch for you.
Thank you so much for your prayers. We can’t thank you enough…
Blessings, Jeanne
Thank you for the beautiful publication! It creates a perfect pre-holiday mood! I love the theme of Christmas outfits. Little Women I also really like.
