What does…
plus….
plus….
equal?
But of course….the first new school dress of the year!
(I’m fairly certain this is the fabric I will use, but not 100% certain.)
P.S. I mentioned at the first of last week…(my 2 year anniversary of my blog), that I would have another giveaway. Well, I completely forgot about it till just now…OOPS on my part… SO… I’ll have another giveaway on Monday!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Going to try again, Jeanne! The computer wiped me off yesterday and already once today. This is getting ridiculous!
Oh my, I loved Kit’s new dress! That’s one dress I would have loved to have worn as a little girl! You did a perfect job of putting it together, adding the sweet trims, and the darling slip and socks! Kit isn’t going to want to take this off, trust me!
So Lian is up for a school dress! I’m trying to figure out if the dress will be blue or red checked, or maybe blue with a little red jacket or vest? You always keep us wondering in anticipation!
I would like to say more, but will close, since you never know when the computer gods will strike again!!
HI Linda,
Oh dear, it sounds like your computer is really giving you fits! Nothing is as frustrating as a computer…unless it’s a sewing machine! :o)
Kit already likes it and “thinks” it’s hers!
Oh good, I gave just enough hints to make you wonder what Lian’s dress will look like… guess you’ll have to wait…
Thanks Linda,
Enjoy your day.. see you tomorrow…I hope!
Blessings, Jeanne
Here’s a little tip that might help with the disappearing lines of type. Stop typing immediately and hold down the Control (Ctl) Key on the far left bottom row and click on Z (this is the Restore Function). This is designed to restore the entire line or paragraph that was erased. I have a friend who has arthritis (not to imply that you do, Linda) and she sometimes loses whole emails because she unwittingly hit a key or keys somewhere that deleted a sentence or a whole paragraph. If it doesn’t work, you may have hit even one or more keys too many before trying it, so the key is to stop typing immediately when things disappear. Hope this helps. Give it a try to see if it works within this format. It does in regular email.
Can’t wait to see the new dress on one of my favorite dolls.
I tried it by deleting a sentence and doing the Ctl Z thing and it worked here.
Susette, thank you for the tip! I will try that, but I am not sure if it will work. My computer has a box that pops up and states the internet has stopped working, and to close the program. Then when you do, it has erased whatever you have typed. But I’ll give it a try to see what happens.
Thanks again!
Thanks for trying to help Linda out Susette,
I (we all) appreciate any and all “computer” tips!
I can’t wait to see the dress all made either… :o)
Have a nice Sunday afternoon.
blessings, Jeanne
Good Morning Jeanne,
Kit’s new dress is adorable. I think the flutter sleeves turned out great. I was wondering when you might make a back to school out fit. I think what you selected is perfect. I can’t wait to see what it will look like. Have a lovely Sunday!
Hi Ingrid,
Well, it looks like I decided on a School dress just in time! I hope it turns out like I picture it in my mind…
Thank you Ingrid,
Blessings to you on this Sunday afternoon,
~ Jeanne
Well, I guess it really is back to school time. With those fabrics and trim any dolly would be thrilled to wear the dress upon return. Love the colors.
Hi Joy,
Yes, it’s back to school time… and so I must switch from Summer dresses to “School” ones…
I’m keeping Lian in suspense about the dress too… so she’ll find out when you all do!
Thanks so much,
Blessings, Jeanne
What a fun riddle! Lian + school theme + red, white and blue materials = ADORABLE! Love the fabric choices and can’t wait to see where your creativity will lead with this one, Jeanne. One thing is guaranteed: Lian will be the best dressed little girl on the first day of school! Hope the set-up for Jean’s apartment is complete and you are having a relaxing Sunday of sewing, Jeanne. I wonder what tomorrow’s school lesson will be? 😉
HI Anne,
I certainly “hope” Lian’s dress turns out adorable! That’s the only kind I like to make!
We did work at Jean’s place yesterday and got it looking pretty nice. He said his wife is going to be so surprised… she thinks she’s coming to an empty apartment… it’s looking pretty cute. Today after church, I went by the Food Pantry and got lots of food for him. He only had a gallon of milk and some mayo in the frig. He’s got lots to pick from now. I got him 5 big boxes full of stuff… I can’t wait till he gets home from the library to take it over to him. He is going to be so excited to see everything. I think I’m more excited to take it to him.
Thanks Anne,
Blessings, Jeanne
Looking forward to what your imagination comes up with. Love the doll even if I don’t have one. Anxiously looking forward to what you create.
Thank you Joy,
I’m working on it right now… Hope I don’t disappoint anyone!
Blessings, Jeanne
