Tomorrow is Father’s Day! Not that you all needed reminding, but I thought it couldn’t hurt! I wanted to do a post and show you some ideas from Pinterest, but I just read a blog post where this lady was sued for using pictures off of Pinterest, even though it said “Pin It.” This has made me a little squeamish about using something other than pictures I have taken myself, so I’ll just be describing things and you’ll have to look for them yourself. Sorry….
After you’ve gone to Pinterest, type in Father’s Day. One of my favorite things is a big piece of poster board with a story made up and then certain words are strategically filled in with the candy bars. You’ll see the pictures of the candy bars all taped or glued on a board that tell a story. I love this idea.
There is a No-Bake Reese’s Fudge Bars recipe that looks SO YUMMY!
The Bacon shaped like hearts or roses is something new for me. I love that! I also saw Bacon Pancakes…
I also like the Father’s Day BBQ Cakes… cupcakes made to look like a grill with “candy hotdogs” on it, but oh so cute!
There are all kinds of things to do with Mason Jars…
If you type in Father’s Day Recipes… you will be flooded with every kind of delectable food/dessert you can imagine…
I saw a Peach Cobbler that I have to try, and a big thick looking cheesecake, a Better than Anything Cake, a Baked French Toast Casserole, a Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie, Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches, Southern Pulled Pork Sandwiches with 27,280 re-pins! The list goes on and on… if you haven’t checked out Pinterest…give it a try. I look on there all the time for ideas.
Well, I guess that’s what I wanted to let you know… Pinterest has recipes, crafts, tutorials, plus LOTS more…
I hope you try something new and fun for your dad tomorrow.
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
I’ve seen that board with the candy bar wrapper letter. I thought it was pretty ingenious! I love pinterest. I check it everyday and have been making recipes from there that everyone approves of. 🙂
HI Christine,
That candy bar story poster is the cutest thing, isn’t it? I played a game like that one time where I read a story and stopped when I got to the candy bar that was supposed to go there… whoever yelled it out first, got the candy bar thrown to them. It was fun.
I check Pinterest out all the time too. There are some great ideas on there.
Blessings, Jeanne
Hello, Jeanne! I’m really late with comments today, we celebrated Father’s Day today with our daughter and her family, so that tomorrow could be for my son-in-law. At least we had NO rain today, quite different for a change!
I have avoided Pinterest for some time now, am wondering if I should join. I really don’t have the time for more sitting around at the computer, and feel I would do just that! I know there are some really good ideas there, but wonder if I should make the jump. Do I want to remember yet another logon and password?? Not really, but still I am curious about what I might find there!
HI Linda,
I know what you mean about “one more thing” to take up my time, but you don’t have to join to enjoy it. I don’t spend much time on my “boards” compared to a lot of my friends, who have pages and pages of different categories. You can just go on there and look and that’s mostly what I enjoy doing. If I’m looking for a new cookie recipe, I just zip on there and find something…if I’m looking for a new paint color, or a new painted floor design, or an idea for a centerpiece for a table, or an idea for what to put on a shelf, new hairstyles, etc. I just like to look and see what there is. I usually look at it on my ipad before I go to bed… but sometimes it gets me to thinking…too much stimulation right before I go to sleep. But you can do as little or as much as you like without being tied down to it. You don’t have to answer any questions… I think of it as just a big picture book and like to look at things. Maybe that will help…
Blessings, and have a nice day tomorrow,
~ Jeanne
