I have another wedding today and I am helping decorate for the couple’s outdoor reception, so my time is a little limited as far as getting that lavender dress finished. I did manage to get one of the skirts sewn to the bodice. (Heavens to Betsy, I seem to be super busy lately!) I thought I would just show you some more pictures of my niece’s wedding. If you missed yesterday’s post, you can see those pictures HERE.
My brother will be getting me his pictures soon and you’ll be in for a real treat with his! His camera is the size of my sewing machine…(well almost that big!) and I’m guessing the bigger the camera the better pictures it takes!
If you clicked on the link in yesterday’s post, you saw the size of the barn where the reception was held. It was magnificent to say the least! Very rustic, old fashioned and charming would be my top three adjectives to describe it. In one corner there was an old sleigh that held wedding gifts and an antique birdcage for putting cards in.
The wedding cake was made by Erin’s younger brother’s wife… Rachel. She makes cakes like you can’t imagine. Erin’s wedding cake looked like it was yards and yards of ribbon icing wrapped round and round. It was just B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Then each of the guests got their own little square of cake that was decorated with a “B” for Erin’s new last name! I’m hoping my brother got pics of them…
Erin and my sister had been searching for doilies ever since Erin got engaged. She wanted to use them on her long tables. She stitched them all together to make long table runners and it was very pretty! Each table was decorated differently.
This isn’t the greatest shot but it’s Hannah, my mom, Jennifer, (my brother’s wife), Erin and me.
This is my brother’s little boy… Bobby T! He was the absolute best little 2 year old you could have ever traveled with! Instead of being a “terrible Two year old” he was a “terrific Two year old!”
My brother “photo-bombed” this shot of Erin and Amy…
Ahhhh….here we go…
Another shot of the flower girls and the ring bearer…Hudson!
…and I’ll finish off today with a little dance from “grandpa” and the girls!
Thanks for letting me share these pictures…it’s fun to relive the memories even though it just happened last week!
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
Oh goody, more pictures!! I just love seeing how this wedding was put together, and I must say, I’ve never seen one like it! Oh, that cake—-just beautiful! Isn’t it something how they do cakes now? I don’t remember having that much to pick from than just white cake and thick, white icing, you know just wedding cake icing? That icing looked so smooth and shiny and fresh!
I love the doilies on the table! I have a bunch of those too from my mother-in-law, just sitting in a drawer. They are too pretty to throw away, so they just stay in a drawer.
Loved seeing the photos of your lovely family, and seeing you too! Here I have been picturing you as you were as a young bride!! To tell you the truth, you haven’t changed much! Can’t wait to see your brother’s pictures!
Hi Linda,
Yes..the cake…it was gorgeous and something I wish you could see in person! It was spectacular…”simple” sometimes makes a better statement than fancy! I hadn’t seen one like it before either and was quite taken with it!
I have my doilies from my mother in law too…in a bag and get them out for some decorating I do for things, but mostly mine are like yours…stored away.
I only “wish” I was still a younger bride and looked like that… a few pounds, a few gray hairs, a few wrinkles changes everything. But…it gives me something to work on!!!
Thanks Linda,
Blessings, Jeanne
Such lovely photos of the wedding. The little flower girls are just too cute in their dresses you made them and I love the way you styled their hair. The photo of you and your family is very nice..everyone looks happy.
Thanks Regina,
Your comments on the girls dresses and the way they looked was so sweet.
It was a happy time for our family! Having my brother and sisters there was wonderful! It was just too short of a visit!
Thanks again,
Blessings, Jeanne
I never tire looking at wedding photos. I can just imagine how good the cake was. A most beautiful wedding! Keep the photos coming.
HI Jan,
I’m glad to hear that my wedding pictures aren’t boring you!
Blessings, Jeanne
What a beautiful wedding! Even the weather was beautiful! I wish the bride and groom all the best! Thank you for sharing with us their special day, Jeanne. I truly enjoyed seeing all the photos and learning about the members of your family. So much happiness…beautiful! BTW, those flower girls are the cutest little darlings that I’ve ever seen. Hmm, I wonder where they got those gorgeous dresses… What a find, those little belts and shoes, too cute!
HI Cindy,
Thank you so much for your very sweet comments about the wedding. It truly was a dream of a place to have a wedding and you especially are going to love seeing the pictures when my brother gets them to me. (he’s got twin 5 year olds and little Bobby T who is 2…so he stays quite busy!) This place was nothing short of spectacular!
Yes, who would have thought that my niece could find shoes and belts that would work for both girls???
Thanks again Cindy…I’ve got to get over to your site and check out what you’ve been doing.
Blessings, Jeanne
